We stayed in the White moon yurt and we had an awesome experience! such a beautiful spot to relax and unplug. We had a big yurt that was nice and warm with a hottub on the deck. The atmosphere and vibes were great. Dinner was fantastic and the staff, owners and dog cosmo were all great! had an amazing stay and will be back again ♡

We stayed the weekend in the Bever Dome and it was absolutely amazing. From the beautiful scenery to the wonderful accommodations included. Hot tub was extra, and since we were last minute we didn’t have a hot tub near our dome but the staff provided robes and towels, and made it happen for us. The staff are beyond respectful, full of gratitude and very outgoing! (This made things so much more comfortable) They provided dinner to us, which was also incredibly delicious and also brought us some alcohol beverages. We also loved the ferry and the beach, my boyfriend brought his fishing rod and went stripped bass fishing! I rate this Resort 5 stars because they deserve it! Everything was amazing and our stay was memorable! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We will be back in the Fall! Thanks again for everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Cabot Shores last night! We stayed in the White Moon yurt, so warm and cozy. One of the staff Mattea, made sure our wood stove was burning nicely. She was absolutely wonderful! She made sure we had everything we needed. And she was very friendly! We snow shoed during the day, shoes were provided for us, the trails are beautiful. Then we had a nice dinner in the Bistro, service was good and Josh kept us entertained by strumming on his guitar. He was super friendly and knowledgeable as well about the resort and the surroundings. Great staff here! And then we soaked all evening in the hot tub with our yurt. So private! The weather was great and we had a truly memorable stay! What a perfect getaway, winter or summer! We will definitely be back! Thanks to Paul and his staff, see you again soon 😃

Loved our stay at Cabot Shores in the Big Red Yurt. Most of our staff experience was with Dave — he was unbelievably accommodating. He stayed late to ensure our hot tub was perfectly heated. Barbara's food was delicious — the homemade hummus and masala were the best I have ever tasted. The outdoor grounds are stunning. Looking forward to returning.

I worked and leaved at Cabot Shores for almost 2 years. It is a wonderful place to stay at and experience. It has a down to heart / relax / home feel to it. The team works really hard to make sure that all the guests enjoy their time on the Island and connect with nature. I totally recommand the place!

This place has lots of potential just run poorly. Considering they charge 350 plus tax per night I would expect the place to have less mouse droppings and less dirt all over the floors and bug guts on the walls not to mention the water damaged ceilings that were not even attempted to be repaired. Then there is the 10 pm quiet time which would be fine but the owners were picking on all cabins starting as early at 5pm about have music on or talking to loudly. The hot tubs were not clean and when we left to go for supper they took it upon themselves to enter our cabin with all of our stuff in there without permission and hook up a hose to the kitchen sink to run out a window that they left open to fill up another hot tub at another building. They are extremely hard to get along with and do not clean well nor do they do maintenance on the cabins so no I do not recommend this place.

I decided to go camping while I was at this resort. Definitely old school, out in the wilderness, no service, defend for yourself kind of thing. Such a great way to really disconnect from everything. Reconnect with yourself, nature, those around you. Was so great! Next time I go I will try out of the yurts, chalets or something! The staff were fantastic as well. I couldn’t find the beach though. Very relaxing night away.

My friends and I stayed here this past Saturday night and could not have been more pleased. The chalet was beautiful and spacious, the hot tub was a lovely touch and we thoroughly enjoyed the beach and fire pit. Would recommend to anyone and plan on going back for sure!

Owners and staff are great. Our yurt was fun and cozy. Fun atmosphere in the lodge… overall a great New Year’s Eve! Ain’t gonna get me in that water in January though.

An incredible place to visit, host a retreat, or grab a bite to eat. The owners are amazing, the staff are friendly, and the accommodations are fantastic (especially the yurts — like staying in a work of art).

Enough good words cannot be said about this beautiful place filled with wonderful people. After being greeted by cosmo the dog and enjoying outdoor adventures like kayaking and picking apples to be made into cider, amazing local food in between each adventure, and seeing local wildlife like the owl we spotted outside our yurt in the morning, I can say I am absolutely exhausted in the best way and so very happy with every moment of my experience. My fiànce and I will definitely be returning.

Wonderful spot! the dome was fantastic and something different! Everything was very clean and the staff were lovely! The hot tub was so relaxing and stayed warm for so long! Cant wait to try it in the winter!

As long as you appreciate rustic accommodations, you will love this place. Just do yourself a favor and do not book a room in the lower level. (they have septic issues that burble sometimes and you have to go across the compound to use the facilities. ) One thing I would recommend is that they make the bistro seating into a community. In other words, put the tables together! get the guests to chat with each other! And put the hot tub OUTside, not under the deck. So they can see the stars!

Tranquil, relaxing and drop dead gorgeous vistas … Helpful Staff and The Bistro was a nice change, with Local Musicians to boot!

I had an overall good experience. The staff goes well and beyond the call of duty. We arrived and decided we wanted to try a different yurt and the staff quickly fulfilled our request. The new guy working the front desk was very knowledgeable and friendly. I love the lounge area as well. The view from the Flying Moose is amazing! My only concern while staying at the resort was finding several lethal body grip beaver traps along the stream bank without being marked or mentione…d prior to check-in. I'm glad I didn't take my pet as she is very curious and spends a lot of time near the waters edge. When I visit a wilderness resort I expect to enjoy nature not see lethal body trap directly in the back of my yurt. I've brought this to the attention of staff and will be looking forward to changes when I visit again. I believe beavers have a great deal to offer a wilderness resort and there are more humane ways of dealing with them especially as a eco-friendly resort you may want to look into live trapping options!

This is an amazing place for wilderness seekers. We loved every night we spent in Atlantic dome next to the ocean. The team was very accommodating including the owner Paul. They were very courteous and made sure they made our trip the best one we have ever had in a camp setting. Atlantic done was next to the Atlantic ocean so during the night and early morning you can hear the water waves splashing in the background. Truly heavenly. Highly highly recommend for those looking for living in the wild or looking to do camping in tree houses/ domes/ yurts.

Staff was super friendly that’s about it… I refused to stay. I booked the Little Sky Yurt the one closest to the main office. I went to the office to check in and had the young guy walk me to my Yurt. To my surprise there is two little wooden doors with no lock on it so make sure you don’t bring anything valuebale because there is a chance it will get taken. There is no proper closure so any bugs that are outside will be in your Yurt. Also the amount of dead bugs on the floor was disturbing, I didn’t really understand why someone would want to stay in this “Hut”. Me being 6ft I would have to crawl in every aspect of the Yurt which didn’t appeal to me at all. The lady at the front desk gave me a full refund and I went on my way, couldn’t sleep at this location so we went to Maven gypsy which is absolutely beautiful.

Great property and lots to do. Dinner was delicious and the live music was a treat. Service was awesome! Wish I could have stayed longer.

A stunning view from the Big Red Yurt, plenty of room for our family of four — just enough modern comforts to keep you cozy without taking away that wilderness feel, Paul and Barbara were such wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home, gorgeous area with plenty to do for our adventurous family, we actually chopped off the end of our planned vacation and asked Paul if we could stay longer! Advice: don’t plan on this area being a 2 day adventure, you need time to explore! Absolutely amazing!

If you want peaceful and relaxing with great views of the ocean this is a good spot for you. We stayed in the Big Red Yurt and were extremely happy with it. Supper at the lodge was amazing, the hot tub was worth the extra money, the communal shower and bathroom were very clean and had lots of hot water. Breakfast, in our opinion was the only thing we didn’t like and was not worth $12 but other then that we enjoyed it and would most likely come back.
Ps do not let the initial drive in the lawn fool you, it is a gorgeous piece of property when u get to the lodge and wander to their beach. Also we had intermittent cell service in and around our yurt which was a bonus. This isn’t a five star hotel but for a camping in nature and calm and not having to bring a tent etc it was exactly what we wanted!

Stayed in the Forest Yurt for 3 nights and it was an amazing experience. Everything was nice and clean and it was almost like camping in the forest. The stars at night as you enjoy a dip in the hot tub is an amazing experience. The food served at the main lodge is healthy and fresh especially the simple breakfast that they provide. The dinners cooked up by their resident chef Ron were superb, he is a master on the grill and his steaks are phenomenal. Don't look for 5 star accommodations here if you are not used to camping or roughing it you will be hard pressed to enjoy it, but if you like camping and want to experience the lifestyle of a Mongolian (sort of anyways) this is perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the facilities were clean.

Wonderful destination for families. The staff knew we were bringing a baby, they had the playpen set up in our Cedar yurt on arrival without us asking (and the wood stove going) and had the booster seat ready at our table for both meals. Food was out of this world! And really loved that they had kid friendly meal options. Loved how much there was to do on site. We were only there for a day and a half, one night, but we canoed, went in the hot tub included in our yurt, went on a couple hikes, visited the chickens! Warm, welcoming staff, fantastic experience.

Stopped in for 1 night with wife, infant son and 2 dogs. Yurt was cozy and warm and a great nights sleep. Supper was delicious with haddock and spatzel and braised cabbage. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely going again for a longer stay to fully experience the grounds and activities.

I booked this site paid advance $195. Had to cancel 5 months in advance and was refunded $117. Money Grab! Unfair hospitality to say the least.

Roads were not salted and no effort was put into attemping to make it safe. Fireplace in our yurt was broke so it made starting and keeping a fire very difficult. The website is not quite true and misleading. We were told we would have a hot tub but on arrival it was broke and we had to use a community one for a steep price. A group with us booked a bigger yurt and on arrival were told they had to go into a smaller yurt. Several smaller issues plagued us through out the day and night. Our experience was not enjoyable and the prices for the yurt for what you get isn't worth it. Most staff were very nice but that will be our first and last stay.

Great staff, great property, great food. The yurts are beautiful. Just know that you're not signing up for a cushy hotel when you decide to go to a "wilderness resort". If you like roughing it just a little, then you should have a great time.

We absolutely loved our time here. If I could offer better than 5 stars I would. The food was outstanding and the same can be said of ALL staff. We stayed in one of the yurts and explored the property, which was also great. I highly recommend sunrise and sunsets. I must say it was the best mini vacations I've ever had. It's a wilderness resort with nature, relaxation, fantastic food, and calm. A break from having Wi-Fi, cell service, and television in the yurt was welcomed. I appreciate the work gone into the place and talking to some staff, getting their stories, made me love the place that much more. The owners should be commended for being good people as well as offering this to others.

I did not receive what I booked! I booked online, for a 3-4 person yurt, when we got there, they had a 2 person yurt there for us, that had one double bed! I told them that this is wrong there is 3 of us, they said no problem we will provide a cot… it was a pad on the floor! So after a day of hiking one of us had to sleep on the floor! There was a musky smell in the yurt that got into all our clothes, there was cob webs and the yurt looked like it was tied together with rope made from hair. Breakfast was 12 coffee, boiled eggs, yogurt and banana bread… no meat at all. Place was hippie like and dirty! There was stuff everywhere, vacuum in bathroom, supplies hidden by curtain and so on. They charged $34 for low low low quality kayaks, that where stored outside and looked terribly weathered. I do not recommend this place! There is no cell coverage and the slow Wi-Fi is only in the main lodge.

We had a great stay in the cedar yurt! It was a super last minute booking and everything was great! The main lodge is super cozy and the food smelt amazing. The yurt was really close to the main lodge so privacy was ideal, but you also had power which was nice. The very small hot tub was also not including the the price which I thought was crazy; $50 for the use of it was really steep. A little expensive for a yurt I think, but it was really interesting and I would love to do it again. Skip the buffet style breakfast, $12.99 for hard boiled eggs and toast is a lot when you can get a full delicious hot meal at the clucking hen just 5 mins up the road.

Amazing nature. Less human. You will definitely love the nature.

Had a great stay in a yurt! Atmosphere is tres chill. Nice place for families.

Had a few complications on arrival. Book & paid partials our reservation in advance with promised hot tub set up on our deck but on arrival we weren't able to receive it on deck but only on another location far away in the cottages locations and had to drive up to the hot tub. No picnic table, chairs or light were provided as told on the phone when confirming our booking 1 week before. I had to go up again at the lodge and ask for it while everyone was already setup. thankfully Staff was super friendly and made the area welcoming. Domes were well maintained but the yard area needed a bit of cleaning.

Check in was quick and easy. 2 night stay was good. Accomodations in the wilderness yurt appeared slightly different than the pictures online. Different flooring, bedding, smaller pillows. Bed seemed clean. Breakfast was good, however we had been told the price had been $12 for the breakfast. The assumed gratuity had not been mentioned. After gratuity and taxes, breakfast per person was $18. For what we ate I wouldn't say it was anywhere worth the cost. We had booked through a booking website which charged US dollars for prices that had been the same in CDN dollars. (Looking into fixing this). Staff overall were friendly and very accommodating.

Very interesting experience. Yurts were unique but overpriced. They were clean and comfortable but they were close together, did not have good access to water/shower/washroom. Mornings were very bright and noisy (roosters), but they did provide ear plugs to muffle the noise. Bistro was very good, but felt a bit pricey for the location. The only thing stopping me from rating it 4 stars is the value/price ratio.

If you want a place to sit in your luxurious room, watching satellite TV, then keep looking. If however, you enjoy nature and the wilderness, book this place now!
We stayed in the Eagles Nest and it was amazing! Waking up overlooking the trees with the sun shining down on us was unforgettable. Going to bed and gazing at the stars and moon, same.
We got in late and during breakfast the next morning, Barbara came over with a map and asked us what we liked to do. She showed us where things were that we never would've known about or found on our own. I got to jam with Paul one night in the main lodge. We rented a canoe and dragged it up 3 sets of rapids to a lovely little sand beach at the base of another set of rapids and spent the day swimming in a huge pool with not a soul around.
We will be back next summer, with all our kids and their significant others and for a longer stay.
I really don't have the words to describe what this place means. Go find out for yourselves. You won't be disappointed!
