I highly recommend this hotel! Clean, quiet, and well appointed rooms. Wonderful staff; Arabella, David and Michael go over and above. The delicious hot breakfast and free parking are an added bonus. Can’t wait to go back!

This is my first hotel review. This is a great boutique hotel. Beds are super comfortable, suites are spacious, and the combo of not a lot of suites per floor and the room layout meant there was absolutely no hallway noise. Parking was never an issue, it’s in a nice little pocket of downtown, and there were plenty of great little restaurants on next street over (Davie) within walking distance. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. All were very thoughtful. Did I mention the stunning mountain views? We will definitely be booking again the next time we are in Vancouver!

When I first checked in my husband was in St. Paul’s hospital and I was pretty stressed. Add COVID to that and well …
But the staff were fantastic. They always welcomed you home when you went through the door. If you get a room for on the back of the building, it is not a negative. There is always something to see. It looks onto Davie St. And there is always something going on.
Parking is free and if you have someone in St. Paul’s it is a short walk.
We stayed 2 months and it is an ideal location. Is it glamorous — no — but it is clean, friendly and for a little while you are part of a little family. We will return when Covid is gone.

This is probably the best of the best and friendliest hotel I have experienced and that's because of "Arabella"… I call her Bella… She's the gorgeous lady at the reception which instantly become our sunshine that morning when we checked-in after a gruesome and sleepless 14 hours long flight from Australia. She helped and ensured that we get an early check-in and in addition, upgraded our room!
The other guy at the reception was very nice as well. I have travelled in other countries and stayed in different hotels both for pleasure and work but Arabella is the best reception I have come across with.
This hotel is highly recommended 2 thumbs up and 5/5 star.

We love our stay here! It is great! Nothing bad to say. Parking was free, kitchen was fine, bed was cloud 9, fine view… we will be back.

What an awesome spot! great room for our family. Huge one bedroom suite was perfect for the 4 of us. We were upgraded as soon as we walked it so they could accommodate our early check in request. Breakfast and free parking were great as well. We'll be back.

Super location and also good rooms. So far it is clean only one should not look closely. We made a stopover and it was okay for that. Breakfast is served in the lobby and you can take it with you to the room. The beds were dreamily comfortable just the people at the reception should be a little friendlier! If you come in pairs and say Hello, you should not be completely ignored. Would stop here again.

A spotlessly clean one bedroom apartment at a very reasonable price. You can tell this is someone's pet project. Very cordial staff. Amenities: no pool, awkward parking, unprepossessing from the rear, but in an exciting and interesting neighborhood. Only a block to outstanding restaurants. A hidden gem. And a rubber duck!

Well positioned for transport to Granville Island, Canada Place and shops, restaurants etc.
Really nice rooms — ours had a balcony — and great continental breakfast plus fruit juice and pancakes if you want them.
Not too expensive.
Friendly helpful staff.
Highly recommended and we will choose to stay here when we visit Vancouver again.

Great location, backing on to Davie Street, not the posh end of town but not a bad area. The rooms are comfortable and you have free breakfast which you make yourself. Also close to the ferry to Granville Island.

The hotel is made up of suites, with separate kitchen, dining, and sitting areas. The location was great, in a bustling neighborhood near lots of restaurants and convenient to the airport and downtown. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and helpful.

Absolutely one of the best places to stay in Vancouver. Perfect location, excellent staff and very clean. I love the sheets.

These suites are the bomb! Everything you could possibly need is here. Our 3 day stay was so nice and accommodating. Friendly staff a nice neighbour hood to walk and the price was so good. I am returning and recommending these suites to people. Thank you for everything … I will be coming back.

Great place, excellent staff and great location. Awesome sleep in very comfortable bed. Lots of great plug-in receptacles on the bed side table.

My husband and I visited for an overnight trip and had a really great time. Designated parking in the back was helpful, some spaces were secure, but when those lots were full, there was still reserved spaces in the alley. The neighborhood has lots of walkable food options, and the suite kitchen helped expand how many of those options would work for us. Jelly beans in the lobby were a delightful treat, and the breakfast waffles made me really happy as well. The view from our room was stunning!

While Sunset looks small when initially walking in, the rooms happen to be incredibly spacious. The food for breakfast and the beds are fairly comfortable. The pullouts are a lot better than other hotels I have been to. Everything is perfect here for an overnight stay. The only minor problem I had was the Jets didn't work for the bath. The Inn is fairly average, nothing special that makes it better than others except for the space per room.

Staying here is like coming home! The rooms are big and spacious (with kitchenettes! ) and the staff does everything they can to make your stay personal and comfortable. The location is ideal — so close to downtown, the beach, and Stanley Park. There is breakfast and a gym and free jellybeans in the lobby, so, really, what else could you ask for?

Great location in Davie Village area. Some people complained that it's a bit loud, but it's pretty much what you would expect being nearby a street with nightlife in the middle of the city. The parking was convenient although a bit tight. We were upgraded to a huge suite with a kitchen and large living area. The space was clean and comfortable. We didn't partake in the breakfast but it's a waffle station plus a variety of pastries and fruit — nothing fancy. If you want yogurt, the front desk sells it for $0.50.

I'm extremely impressed with Sunset Inn & Suites. I didn't really know what to expect about the location, as I'd never been to Vancouver before. The location is fantastic, very close to many attractions in the city centre. As for the room, I am astonished at the size of it. The bed is absolutely huge, excellent TV with loads of channels (and an actual cable box — it's just like your TV at home). There are USB ports and power outlets on both bedside tables, and a serious surge protector on the desk. There's also a balcony, but seeing as how it is raining, it is not getting much use. The room has a small dining room — a table with two chairs — located next to the kitchen. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, sink, stove/oven, and microwave. In addition to that, there are plates, mugs, pots, and pans for you to use. I know I have written quite a bit about the room, and it's just because it's so impressive. Parking is available on-site, but it looks as though it is limited given the number of rooms. Finally, the staff with whom I interacted were superlative. Extremely courteous, hospitable, and knowledgeable about the area. I will definitely stay here again.

The best hotel. Right in the middle of West End, super friendly staff and big rooms with full kitchens. Stayed for 10 days with a seven year old and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rooms are clean and great. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location is close to many good restaurants. Will stay again in the future.

Wonderful, quiet location close to lots of restaurants and nightlife. Also a short walk to Stanley park. The room was clean, large and very accommodating. The staff was extremely accommodating, they gave us good recommendations of places to eat, and were very delightful and helpful. Definitely a worthwhile place to stay, and a great location. 5 stars all around!

Clean, large, comfortable rooms, with very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchenettes, and lots of places to charge your devices. Great staff, and they even give out rubber duckies!

We had a good stay. It was nice quite and peaceful. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired but compatible to other Vancouver downtown options this one is pretty good.

Good location within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and downtown. Hotel rooms are spacious. Parking is included which is a huge plus since street parking is very limited. The lack of central air conditioning is not really an issue for Vancouver climate, but something to be aware of.

I have just returned from Vancouver to Australia after a 10 night post cruise stay. As a single traveller I felt safe and secure.
I found the accommodation was great with very fast Wi-Fi. The suite was spacious, clean and had the most comfortable bed ever.
The staff were very helpful with and requests that you had and gave you a lot of suggestions on how to get around and what to see and how to save money doing this…
Being in the westend you were nice and handy to explore the whole city. It was a couple of blocks in any direction to most things that you wanted. I felt completely safe and at ease walking around this area even after dark!
I'll definitely recommend this place to family and friends and if I come back to Vancouver shall stay here again.

We didn't know about this place until yesterday and we are very happy we found it. Very reasonable prices and a great location. 1 block from Davie and Thurlow. Our 1 bedroom suite was very big and had a balcony which looked onto a quiet street with big old trees… great setting and so relaxing. The king bed was very comfortable. It also has air conditioner in the living room and bedroom. Free continental breakfast is decent. Make your own waffles, english muffin, toast, croissants, cereal, coffee, fruit. Rooms are a bit dated but nice and clean. The 2 front desk people were very nice to deal with. We will be back!

Very comfortable suites. Love the kitchen access and the daily dish washing service. The continental breakfast is good, not great. One negative is the walls are thin and the maids are loud… so if you sleep in, expect to be woken up. The location is great… more quiet area right on the 6 bus line. Helpful staff. Overall a great hotel and very satisfied.

The people who work here are fantastic. They are extremely helpful and always available. If you need change for a bus fare, they are happy to make it for you. It is also really close to the 6 and 23 buses, both of which can get you to Roger's arena for a game or concert and back easy peasy. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to Canada.

This is our second time staying at the Sunset Inn and it won't be our last. Great location (walking distance to downtown shopping) with spacious suites. We love the fact that most rooms have a full kitchen, which makes travelling with little ones so much easier. The sofa beds could use new mattresses, but for the two nights we stayed they were fine. Parking and complimentary breakfast is included with your stay, which is a huge plus for Vancouver. Overall a great hotel!

Awesome staff, very clean rooms. Location is great, easy to get around to the many attractions and amenities. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with directions and ideas for things to do in the area. My son forgot his school book there and they mailed it back with no charge. Will stay there again in the future. Highly recommend.

What a great place to stay in Vancouver. Large rooms, a friendly atmosphere and the staff are excellent! The Sunset Inn defines hospitality and service — thoughtful and everything you could need to make a most enjoyable stay. Relaxed safe location within an easy walk to English Bay, Sunset Beach plus Robson St and Davie St for the great shopping and foods that West Vancouver is known for. Couldn't have been more pleased with my stay and am happy to recommend!

The room was great, nice furnishings, plenty of available electrical sockets in easy to reach areas, and clean. Front office staff great, Miss A gave us a warm reception which was a great start to our vacation. Excellent location for touring, yet located on a tree lined residential street. Hop on, hop off tour stop really close & water taxi to Granville Island & beyond only 3 blocks away.

We stayed on NYE 2013. I had booked online quickly and easily, the front desk staff who checked us in were lovely, and the room was large and spotlessly clean. Was a bit worried that it would be loud at night being so close to Davie, but I slept like a log. Maybe too much like a log since I missed breakfast!

Spent there 4 nights, was very contented. But my room had not been cleanded at my frist day staying there, but they apologized a lot — and from that day all service was perfekt. You should choose a room with habour view, they are much better. Unfortunately I could not upgrade this time. I like this Hotel, have been there some years ago because it is situated superb: Davie Street and Sunset Beach are very close — both my favorite spots in Vancouver. The safe parking lot for free is an additional plus.
