It’s convenient, close to the airport clean and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant MOXIES IS AFFORDABLE AND all foods are good and delicious. Shuttle bus is on time driver are friendly. Where ever we travel in BC we always check in in SANDMAN.

However, I must remind them to do thier job! Turn my room down every other day! Not impressed with that I foresee no tips coming or returning?

Good food (Indian) and best place for hotel quarontine.

My corporate king suite is superb, nice and clean! spacious, luxurious with living room equipped with TV and a kitchen with stove, pots and pans and utensils.

1st time here Nice place! didnt do much but Great place to stay!

Is has a swimming pool nice to the kids. While we were there swimming there was an instant of stealing by the pool and one of the room on first floor.

Edited the original to the official complaint I sent in. Hello, I am here to give the feedback of the Sandman Airport Hotel in Vancouver B. C Canada I had asked at 2pm to change my shuttle to the earliest once available because I did not feel 3:55 was early enough. She told me it was not a problem and they run every half an hour. I ran out quick and was back within a half an hour, asking if I could catch the next one and was told it was in 15 mins. Then when it was not she told me 2:55. Then again it will be here shortly… The manager was in and out of the front desk and kept looking at me but did not once ask me why I was still waiting with all my luggage, until I approached him to ask why this was such a trouble, so he called a cab and played it up like this was a super nice thing for him to do… There is also a scheduled showing it arrives every 30 mins. NOT when they call it… Additional Info: My original ticket was for 3:55. While I was talking to the front desk at 4, when I was like okay that one is not here. It showed up at 4:08, and before we could get to the front door it drove away. I almost missed my flight due to these reasons and was very rushed.

Rooms are nice and comfy. Also has a nice pool and hot tub. Exercise area was a bit small but do-able. Very friendly staff.

Good location but to be fair waiting 18 minutes for a lift as there are only two in the hotel when you have suitcases to manoeuvre was awful and this happened frequently, on 2 occasions we asked reception to order a taxi to be told there always here and we waited 10mins and we’re nearly late for our trip and then waited nearly 30 mins for our departure due to them not ordering enough just 2 when there were clearly a lot of people checking out and heading to the airport or ferry terminal, rooms were ok a tad small but really your only sleeping in them and the air con machine was so loud it would make you jump at night, sorry to say we would not stay here again.

Having a great stay. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating — definitely went above and beyond! Rooms are clean and stylish for the price point. Rates were relatively affordable for the area. Conveniently located in Richmond near the Richmond Night Market and the light rail.

Stayed there for a grand total of 5 hours Between jobs. Hotel seemed clean and well-appointed, rooms were nice and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly, it was a pleasure to stay there briefly. My only suggestion would maybe be some better signage to their parking lot. It's a little confusing to get to as you need to drive through the parking lot of another hotel and a restaurant to get there. Especially when you've been working long hours and it's late at night.

The shuttle from the hotel to the airport comes every 30minutes. For a flight crew perspective, this is terrible. We got in late at night and had to sit for 30min. I found trash in the bathroom. Everything else was clean. I got roomed right next to a room with ongoing maintenance. It was very loud the next morning. Front desk people were nice. The restaurant next door was convenient.

Although I only spent one night there it was a good experience. My room was a suite — nice kitchen and the bedroom was upstairs. The shuttle service is convenient — runs every 30 minutes to/from the airport which is approximately 15 minutes away.

Room is quite small, about 2/3 size of a typical hotel room. No desk to place my laptop and do some work either. During my stay, another guest opened my hotel room's door using another set of keys they were given. When I raised this concern to the front desk, they said it could be a mistake made by the new employee for the night shifts. Sounss like a common issue at this hotel.

Clean. Smallish rooms but typical for it's class. Moxie's restaurant very good. Recommended.

I am a regular Sandman customer and really enjoyed my first stay here. It’s clean and well managed. Check in an out was a breeze. Reasonable $5/day parking. A much better choice that the Sandman signature 2blks away. The manager actually inquired about our satisfaction which was nice. I’ll stay here from now on whenever I’m flying. The only minor issue, which affects most hotels, is internet speed.

The location is great, and the beds are comfortable. But that's where it ends. The cleaning service came in at 8am without notice, there's no fan in the bathroom, the hotel desk always had a 10 minute wait, and there wasn't enough parking.

Condom rapper on the floor next to the bed. Took 20 minutes to checking since central booking did not push the already paid and confirmed booking to the hotel in Vancouver. And the bar waitresses were having a break it look like. Took 15 minutes to have one coming to our table and ask what we would like.

Very good hotel, the atmosphere of the room is nice and clean, only the bathroom was a little small.
The. Reception staff attends politely, have a small restaurant, where the food is good, I recommend the burgers from Ahi xd.

This is the worst Sandman I've ever stayed at. I arrived at 130am to listen to engines raving, people in and out of the elevators at all hours of the night. It is unbelievable how loud this hotel is. Worst sleep I've ever had in a hotel.

Older but remodeled and great. Smaller than many but excellent service and parking. I like the atmosphere and service better than signature sandman around corner. Take pets, nice pool and exercise room. Moxies ok but lots of other restaurants near by. Nice pub attached to movies.

Close to airport. Regular shuttles. Decent rooms. Moxie's restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff. Slightly dated decor.

No complaints at all. Not the flashest of hotels but my room was clean and comfortable which is all I needed for a 1 night stay after being bumped from my late night flight. As a 3 star hotel I could not fault it. I had a great meal in the attached Moxie's restaurant.

To be honest, our stay was a let down. We had booked a 2 night stay in a queen room while attending a conference in down town, and we told them it would be a late check in since we were driving 10 hours to get there. We got there and they had changed our room to 2 double beds and the receptionist was somewhat rude about it. After we drove 10 hours we just wanted to go to sleep. The room lock constantly stopped working, so every time we wanted to get into our room we had to go back to the front desk and get the key card redone. The beds were comfy tho.

Was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Room was not cleaned (had to skip showering because the bathroom was disgusting) the place was a glorified motel if anything. Getting a room took 15min per guest and very few employees. Requested a cab for a given time to learn upon going to the front, only to learn that it was never called in the first place. 0/10

Great staff, they were very helpful. The hotel restaurant is a Moxies, and had great food! If you miss your flight, as we did, this was a nice consolation.

I have now been here for almost 60 day's, totally an exceptional experience. The staff is fantastic, friendly, professional, out going and always totally helpful. A family away from home. This team under Jesse reflect his principles and commitment and you can see it comes so naturally to all of the team members. Great Job to all of the staff. Thanks for making feel like home. Ended up overnight here due to layovers. It's a nice quiet hotel and easily walkable to Bridgeport station. The restaurant associated with it is moxies so great dinner food. They open at 6 for breakfast, which doesn't leave too much time if you have an early flight but the lobby has apples and water for a quick bite.

Good service. The employees were welcoming. Ordinary rooms but on the other hand very clean.

We had a perfect stay… highly recommended… we got the queen size bedroom in starting and being a couple felt uncomfortable on tiny beds. So requested the manager to change our room, and that gentleman provided us with the suite❤️❤️. That was so awesome and we are thankful to him for making our stay perfect and we feel like home there. The staff was helpful. Rooms were properly cleaned. Good ambience… 10 stars to the hotel. We miss being there and while we are staying in other hotels we are feeling the difference…

Its a typical Sandman and I mean that in a positive way. You get what you expect, nothing fancy but clean and fair value. The Wi-Fi in my room was painstakingly slow but I would hope that it is normally better.

Staff, nice and friendly. Rooms clean (except for uncleaned windows). Unfortunately, bathroom does not work ventilation. No minibar, but small coffee machine and microwave in the room. Cutlery would be good.

Simple hotel, good beds, shuttle to the airport, completely adequate.

Friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms. Building is a bit older and the air conditioning needs updating, but they lent us a fan that worked wonders :) good location!

Another decent experience at Moxie's. Had a quick work meeting. Appies were okay and selection of European beers was pretty good. Only downside was we wanted to order more after we got our bill, but we were totally ignored until we flagged over a busser.

The bed was nice and soft. The mini fridge left my beverages crisp and cool. Also everything was clean. The air conditioner left the room feeling nice and cool. The bathroom was pretty spacious. The rooms setup is basic but that's fine. Nice room if your alone.

Great place to stay! The rooms have a strong A/C for summer and the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. We stayed in one of the loft rooms on the 5th floor that has a kitchenette. Felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be returning!

Front desk service was fast and friendly. Same with maintenance staff. They were quick in responding to our request to have the AC adjusted. The rooms are a bit old but our executive king suite had 2 TVs as well as a sofa bed. I liked that there was a fridge and microwave. Good discounted price at the peak summer time.

Categorically the worst hotel I've stayed at. I cannot get into my room with my key card. The front desk staff cannot get in. I've been told I need to wait for word from the Sandman Signature staff. I need to leave this hotel by 6 am and have been waiting for over 50 minutes just to get into my room. I've never had such terrible service anywhere in the world.

Decent budget vacationer hotel. I've been to both this and the Sandman Signature down the street and the Signature seems to be much nicer. During mid-morning cleaning, housekeeping has all the various doors to their linen closets and sheet laundry wide open and the feel just seemed to lack a sense of tastefulness. Lots of parking and the pool and hot tub seem to go unused.

We had stayed here for the past 8 years once a year when we went on vacation. Left the car here for a week and took a free shuttle bus to the airport. Now after we booked it again and go to park the car they tell us it's full and you have to park at the other Sandman down the road then take a shuttle bus back here? We we did that. No shuttle bus or Cab so we walked back 15 min in the freezing cold and I got a sore knee. Was not happy will never stay here again Really what's the point staying here and parking my car at another hotel NEVER again.

Food and drinks were very good. Service was a bit on the slow side. Overall good experience.

Provided accommodation here because of missed flight connection. So it was amazing because I didn't have to pay. Not sure how much it costs regularly. Good for an airport hotel though.

It is a very nice hotel. Nicely redone inside. Room was quite and the staff was excellent. Did find the bed a bit uncomfortable. But the kids loved the pool and we loved the moxie's attached. Has an airport shuttle running every 30 min all day. And they have long term (up to 15 days) parking available. Would stay again and will be staying again in week when we fly back in.

The staff was friendly and quick to get me situated in my room. I had a very early flight and they made arranging a wake up call and shuttle very easy. The room was small but very new and clean. Would definitely go back.

Great staff, clean rooms and an excellent restaurant downstairs. The hotel van normally shows up at :15 and :45 past the hour, but left the airport early and wasn't there at :15 past and we had to wait another 30 minutes for the van to return. Other than that little hiccup it is always an enjoyable experience at the Sandman hotel.

I'm currently staying here during work training. The room is extremely unclean, there is shaving stubble all around the bathroom even around the glasses they expect me to drink out of. The Wi-Fi does not work on the 3rd floor. There are other guests partying till the early hours of the morning (can be heard clearly due to the paper thin walls) also the smell of marijuana through out the entire hallway was unpleasant. The beds are uncomfortable. The alarm clock did not work. This will be my last stay with the sandman hotel in richmond, but please for the sake of future guests and your reputation as a major hotel chain, BE BETTER!

Great loft room for traveling with the family.

The Internet is so bad and bad on third and four floor. If u'd like to use iPhone, not good choice. Others are good.

Nice and quiet room whit excellent service whit peoples whit super and friendly attitude.

The rooms are fairly nice, with recent finishes and furnishings. The beds aren't nice though (old style motel comforters and blankets). Moxies is expensive for breakfast but really good. Wifi worked well. 7/10.

My family and I stayed here, there was a gentleman working at the front desk who was extremely rude. When I called the front desk from my room to ask for the password for the Wi-Fi he spoke to me rudely as if I was disturbing him. Before I was finished talking to the gentleman at the front desk he hung up on me, he didn't ask if there was anything else I needed or if there was anything else he could do for me. He simply hung up the phone before I could say anything else, I have never met any hotel staff that was so rude. I would never stay at your hotel again nor would I recommend your hotel to anyone with such rude hotel staff.

Terrible place, unfriendly people, bad service, slow Internet.

The hotel is clean and the restaurant is nice. I rated it low because the internet connection is so low it barely could load a single page. The workout room is a joke. The 2 treadmills both stick making them unsafe for running and the stair climber was broken The workout room was in same room as pool making in unbearably humid and hot. There were a few dumb bells, but only up to 25 pounds and they were stuck in a corner with no where to actually lift them.
