Highly incredibly recommended! When you get inside the room, smells so so fresh! And the breathtaking view that you’ll gonna fall in love with! so delicious Hungarian food at Citadella Restaurant… The smell of the coffee in the morning amazes you too! It is really a million dollar view for this amazing motel! The owners were friendly and so so nice… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A small time mom and pop operation. Clean, comfortable, and probably the best food I have eaten in a long while. I can't give more stars. 10/10 in my book.

This was my second stay at the hotel and I was a little disappointed. It is advertised that guests recieve 15% off at the restaurant however we did not receive the discount after letting them know we were staying in the hotel. And what really got me was the dirty top quilt. There were visible white crusty stains on top and when I flipped back the blanket it was even worse on the underside. Very obvious the linens were not cleaned between guests and that was a deal breaker. There are some things the hotel succeeds at like outstanding service and awesome food. However for the cost, it just doesn't live up to its own image and I will not be staying here again.

Our stay started right off the bat with perfection! (Above 5 stars) We were driving through radium at 1 AM and didn’t feel like driving right through to Calgary where we were headed called the hotel next-door and we were told that they had rooms but they would not take us because it is too late so sure enough we called Rocky Mountain Springs and Stephen answered andWas more than happy to accommodate us even though we had just woke him up and he told us that he will meet us in front of our room, rooms are extremely clean and well taken care of Steven and his wife Edith were absolutely amazing! Very caring and a pleasure to talk to and deal with, also the food was very on point, Would definitely recommend for a restful stay, rooms are extremely comfortable and big with a great view. Thank you once again Edith and Steven.

Just have to say overall the environment feels homey and the owners are pleasant. You pay before you go to your room and then when you check out you lock your door and drop off the keys in a mail box by the door. This makes for a quick exit if your on a time crunch. Breakfast included until 930 am I believe. (It might be 9 am. ) The room is so nice. It feels clean it looks clean. I have been here twice and each time I enjoyed it. Lovely view. Plastic chairs on balconies aren't too comfortable but you can always stand and look out! I recommend this spot!

Nice place to stay at… food was a little boring. The rooms were older but well maintained. We had a good experience overall.

Beautiful hotel! Loved the room as soon as we walked in the door. Very cozy, nicely decorated. We arrived late in the evening and we're very grateful to have the owners save our room and leave the key out for us. The view off our balcony was amazing, facing the town and mountains. The bed was comfy and the amenities all worked. Awesome free breakfast in the cozy basement.

Favorite place in Radium! My fiancee and I go to this cozy hotel every summer coupe/few times taking relax and eating good meals. We love eating outside and enjoying the view which is priceless! This hotel is on top of the hill so you can see that beautiful valley! The hosts are really friendly and caring about their guests. Clean rooms and delicious food what you can find here. I recommend this accommodation totally!

My wife and I stopped in on a unplanned visit and were very pleased with the room, price, view (dispite the wildfire smoke), the food and the hospitality. We then decided to stay an extra night. We had steak the first night and it was cooked to perfection. We had other dishes the next night, but I recommend the steak surf and turf! We had a little dog with us and the owners were able to accomodate us, which we were very pleased. Our stay here was quite and very relaxing which was just what we were looking for.

My friend and I had a great experience here last year, and were excited to return. Unfortunately, our visit last night wasn't positive. The meals came out very fast, and we soon found out why — the meat was tough and dry, and the dish extremely salty. It had obviously been cooked ahead of time and reheated. Canned peas were used in the dish, too. We are assuming that this was an off night, as last time our meals were delicious and freshly-made. We were very disappointed.

I am quite surprised over negative comments regarding the food and the owners. We were fortunate enough to have stayed at the Lodge previously and have never forgotten the hospitality from the owners and the amazing food. We were treated like family. The food was amazing. The view world class indeed. We are heading back for another weeks stay and called to be sure it's the same owners. It is and we can't wait to go back. If you are looking for an awesome view, best balcony to dine on and amazing hospitality at a very reasonable rate this is the place. No the rooms are not the Taj Mahal, but very clean and kept. To be honest we were rarely in the room as again the balcony view and activities suggested by the owners kept us very busy. Can't wait to see you guys again!

We loved the food, the atmosphere and the restaurant. You can eat inside or out. Both are fantastic. The food is so flavourful and the presentation of the meal is very nice. Every year we stay at this lodge and eat at this restaurant. Not because it is the only restaurant but it is the only one with this good food. Price is reasonable for the quality and service. The people who live in Radium also enjoy the Citadella.

My boyfriend and I went out to Radium last weekend for an impromptu getaway and stayed here. We were going to be bringing our dog up until the last minute when we had family take her, which is very nice to have that option available, it's not exactly easy to find pet friendly places. Upon check in we found the owners to be lovely people, they let us know when the restaurant would be open for supper and had a bunch of pamphlets by the door for things to do. Our room was very nice, quite roomy. Had a comfortable queen bed with a privacy wall before the "living area", which had a pull out bed and everything they have listed on the website. The view from the private balcony was spectacular. And the food! I have never had Hungarian food before, but it was amazing. Even if I went up to Radium to camp, I would no doubt stop in for supper, and quite possibly dessert (the crepes were to die for). The owners even offered a dessert that hadn't been added to the menu, which the chef had made for them a few days prior, and it is a definite yes to add to the menu. As far as complimentary breakfasts go you won't get better anywhere else. It's a hot breakfast, and it may take them a few minutes to bring out the toast, but it's freshly toasted which in itself takes a few minutes. There are a 5 or 6 different options for breakfast, get the waffle, just do it. Overall, our experience here was wonderful, I would for sure suggest anyone stays there, even if only for one night.

The owners were great! The food was the best I've ever eaten in Radium and that goes back a lot of years! The dining room had a nice European atmosphere! we didn't stay the night, but we looked at a room. They are very cozy with a fantastic view of the Radium valley! Definitely going back to stay a night or two!

Great room sizes, single or double, each with their own beautiful patio view over the mountains. Food is excellent, from this well maintained privately owned hidden jem right up the hill from the main corner of Radium.

Older building, but well-maintained and clean, with a good room layout, larger than average balcony, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Very good complementary hot breakfast, and excellent dinner menu. ALL rooms have spectacular views of the whole valley. Easy access to walking/hiking trails.

I booked this place but when I pulled up it looked like a dump. Would not recommend it to anyone. If quality and scenery are important to u, do not book this place.

My friend booked room there for us at last weekend and Wednesday tried to cancel booking, 3 days before booking day! But he was told he will be charged 220.00 because now it is busy season and hotel will not be able to find anybody for this room. If they so popular why they can not find anybody 3 days before long weekend? "Perfect businesses" " Perfect customers care"

The place is located on top of a hill overlooking the town of Radium and valley which we loved the view from our balcony and from the terrace of the restaurant. The place was very clean and beautiful with great food at their Hungarian restaurant. The breakfast was included and they made us home made style food as per our selection from their menu. The couple running the place treated us like family, very warm and very caring. And for what we paid it was an amazing and extremely affordable stay considering the service they gave us. Also if you like running or hiking there is a network of trails right behind the lodge. Also you wont hear any noise from the road.

I love this place and the owners are awesome. I stay here every year and they are pet friendly.

Pros: Nice place to stay. The small hotel size, few rooms and less residents makes it attractive, less noisy and a restful place. The rooms are quiet accommodating in size. Although everything looks & feels old, the places is well maintained and decor is good. The view is stunning & being remote keeps it away from noise. Cons: Meals & breakfast is good, but the non buffet type breakfast served is small is size. Toast are well served. The rooms dont have coffee maker, nor utelsils for the microwave & fridge equipped in rooms. The breakfast too is served quiet late at 8:30am & there not being many hotels or stores around makes it difficult to purchase food after hours or early morning hours. The $149 per night is too steep… The 50% living social made it very reasonable in cost. Overall I enjoyed my stay with my family. Both Steven & his wife work very hard to make the stay wonderful.

We just returned from a great 2 night stay. The food was so good the first night that we decided to have dinner there again on the second night. They didn't disappoint, the food and service was just as good the second night. This was our second 2 night stay at the Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge. We stayed there for 2 nights last April and we liked it enough to return this year. The rooms are nicely laid out, very clean, and the view from our balcony was spectacular. We'll be back!.

The view from the room is absolutely AMAZING. I can't imagine there's a better view anywhere else in the Rockies. I do have to say, though, that if you're looking to feel welcomed, this probably isn't the spot to go to. We felt very brushed off and uncomfortable around the owners, to the point that we actually got up and left our "free 3 course meal" before even ordering. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable, and I felt that I was being watched/judged the entire time. If you just want a place to stay with a beautiful view, and won't be spending a lot of time there, or eating at the restaurant, it's definitely good for the price.
