It’s alright if it’s your only option but other than that I wouldn’t stay there. The owner said he would definitely not stay in his own hotel when I was checking out. I also paid for a full week and wasn’t given a refund for the rest of the week when I only stayed Tuesday — Saturday if that week.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone nice large and clean.

Front desk staff is super ghetto! They were so rude over the phone I cancelled my reservation! I will never stay at this hotel!

Very nice place … tenants before me where nice too left me a blunt in my room.

When we arrived at check in the mini fridge wasn’t connected and it defrosted. When we opened the fridge door, it made the room smell. There was a vape pen and child’s drawing on the floor. The area behind the beds was extremely dusty. We called the front desk lady and she came up and was very helpful and cleaned out the fridge and vacuumed near the beds. We asked to get a discount because the room wasn’t ready for check in and we had to wait for her to finish before we moved our stuff in and got ready. The front desk lady (Maxine) said the manager would be around tomorrow. Check out day comes and we ask for the refund from the front desk lady. She says that the manager isn’t in and we have to call tomorrow. We ask to speak with her or the owner and the owner, who’s name is Ron, comes out and seems like he doesn’t want to talk to us. Tells us that the manager is the only one that can process the discount. The front desk lady, Maxine, finally gets the manager Nicki on the phone and she says that we got $30 taken off of our $287 bill for 2 nights. We tell her that that’s really nothing compared to the inconvenience it was checking in and that the owner was very rude and not trying to hear our concerns. She said sorry but that was all she was going to do. Take your money somewhere where the owner actually cares about how clean their hotel is and cares about customers concerns.

Front desk service is the worst. Room air conditioning don’t work. Not very neat and just an all around dump.

Overall, you shouldn't expect much. It's an old and cheap hotel, so your expectations should be lowered. Front desk person was great, but I asked for a bottom floor room because my mother is handicapped. Notes were not on the folio. I was given several keys to go check several rooms to see if they were available. Really? Glad I didn't walk on someone. Room is ok, but lots of mold in bathroom (see pics). Breakfast is basic. Don't expect much. See pics. Overall, don't expect much for what you're paying.

I stayed at this particular hotel back in June for a family reunion. I was highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the front desk staff. In addition, the rooms were not clean, and contained a mildew odor. Lastly, there was a baby behind the front desk when checking in. Overall, the hotel needs major renovation beyond what I seen being done. The staff could use some professional development as well. The quality of the hotel is low even for a budget hotel. Avoid this lodging option if you can.

This Qualoty Inn & Suites is another budget minded lodging service provider another eastern Michigan location. You will find the friendly local staff ready to respond to your service request timely and helpful. Facility grounds support team building event most evening. This location is perfect lodging opportunity for building service organizations to house employees during extended length projects. Facility is located just off a well maintained frontage road providing ease on and off from local interstate highways and metro bypass roads.

The location was great by alot restaurants and stores. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was very fresh and filling. But the front desk staff is very rude and need to be taught how to deal with the public. I've never been disrespected so much in my life. And and while talking on the phone rolling her eyes at the customer.

We booked a room with a king bed. When we first checked in, we were told that there weren't such rooms. It wasn't clear if the hotel didn't have any at all or if the rooms with king beds were all taken. Either way, we were disappointed. That was just the beginning. We were given instead a room with 2 "twin" beds, which were small for supposedly being twin beds. The toilet seat was disgustingly dirty. There were candy wrappers and soap covers on the floor. One of the bed covers had very visible stains on it. The pillows were terribly small and non-supportive. One of the outlet covers was broken and on the floor. We called, asked for another room. The 2nd room we were given was better, but not by much. There were hairs on the blow dryer. There were no hangers. There was a "queen" bed, but it looked like a twin bed. There were only 3 of the similarly small pillows. Everything was old and stained. The desk and nightstands had a sticky residue on them, which we cleaned ourselves. We called and asked for more pillows and hangers. We were given more (still small) pillows and the kinds of hangers used by dry cleaners. We stayed there only because we had no other choice, barely being able to stand the conditions of our room. In addition, the lock on the side door of the hotel appeared to have been broken. We weren't able to enter the lock code; the buttons didn't work. There was a bar of soap in the hallway for at least 2 days, and the smoke-free hotel smelled strongly of smoke.

There were pee stains and hair on the sheets when I first arrived! The bathtubs were dirty! The rooms smell like mold mixed with trash! The water was brown when I turned on the shower! I will never come back to or recommend this place!

It took three attempts for the front desk to actually get me into a room that was clean and unoccupied. Attempt one, I was assigned a room and given a key to an occupied room. Attempt two, I was assigned a room and given a key to an uncleaned room (unmade beds, beer cans everywhere, disgusting bathroom). Attempt three the front desk attendant did not assign me a room, she accompanied me to the hallway, armed with a list of supposedly "clean and unoccupied" rooms (I assume because she was expecting another incident like I described preciously). Luckily, the first room she opened was clean. However, the beds had uncomfortable, very bouncy, cheap mattresses and pillows the size one would expect to find on a couch, not a bed. Overall, not a great experience, not in a great part of town, and I will definitely avoid this location in the future. I advise you to do the same.

Shabby room. Loud people in the hall on a Tuesday night. The fire alarm went off three times during the night. The room wasn't very clean. I booked seven days out asking for a first floor room. Did I get one? No. I stay in Quality Inns probably 40 nights a year. I won't be back to this one.

Would not stay here again. First day (Tuesday) fire alarms went off for hours. Wednesday towels changed bed not made. Wednesday night brought more fire alarms sometime around 3AM. Then noise sounded like heavy equipment being pushed down the hall. Free breakfasts were very good. Breakfast room was clean.

I was a little worried about staying here after reading the reviews but it was the only place with availability. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my stay. The hotel is under new ownership so that's possibly why things were so much better than reflected in the other reviews. The beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and clean and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In light of what I paid for our stay, this was an amazing value!

The only good part of this place were the nice staff. Everything else sucked except the breakfast bar. Loud unruly guests all over the hotel preventing me from sleeping. Loud guests all over the building. It sounds like people shouting to someone a block away when they're in the same room. No respect for other guests, none. Management doesn't seem to have the will to address the obnoxious guests. Grounds are filthy with trash all over the place. Rooms are dated and ran down, but I heard they are remodeling. I must have got one of the rooms that wasn't updated yet. If you're a person who values their sleep at night avoid this place like the plague.

Hotel seemed tired and needing updating. Bathroom was very disappointing. No exhaust fan for shower. Water dripping from ceiling and paint blistering after shower. Bathroom floor and trim and bathtub tile\grout hadn't been scrubbed in a long time. Patio door had broken security bar. My husband had to fix it. Lobby had fun decor but after looking closer… check in desk was dusty. Especially the back of the computer screen facing me. Items on wall in lobby I walked by needed a good cleaning. We skipped breakfast when we saw the black bananas. We used our free rewards night for this stay. We have enjoyed our stay at almost all the choice hotels we have stayed at but this was the most disappointing. We will have to try the Comfort Inn down the road next time we are in this area.

Me and my husband stayed in room just last night, we was woken up at 6 am itching, turned on the lights and found bed bugs and my husband is covered in bites, we put a live one in a cup and took it down to the front desk with us where we were refunded for our stay, I am terrified 4 hours later that we will bring these home although we have taken every precaution. I've read another bed bug review that the owner responded there was none found, well we took one to the front desk and have multiple videos of them so they are there, and this room has been infested for quite some time for them to be as big as they were and for him to have so many bites. I expect additional compensation for our inconvenience and the creams and insecticides that we have purchased to ensure they do not move into our home.

This room has our family so comfortable we don't want to leave. Currently enjoying a nice complimentary breakfast with one of my little girls. Close to stores and restaurants.

Quick service at the desk, hallways had a weird scent. Room was of average quality, nothing over the top. Room included TV, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. Not all exterior doors were fully functional.

This place is not that clean and the staff is very unfriendly. We had a suite and we're treated poorly. I would recommend going somewhere else.

The rooms are clean. Very friendly front desk staff. There was no toilet paper in the room but the front desk handled the situation professionally. Only downside is the halls did smell of marijuana in the morning, but the room did not so not a big deal. For the price, this hotel is a value. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay if your on the road with sports locker bar and grill connected to the building you don’t have to look vary far for great food and entertainment.

First off the hallways look like a polished turd. The room smells freakin horrid, I go in the bathroom and I would never take a bath in it, there was a dirty towel hanging on the shower curtain, the curtains in the room smell like piss. I brought my infant son here, I can't have him stay in this filth! I will never in my life come here again. This place needs a GIANT makeover!

My husband and I stay here annually for our anniversary. We splurge and get a Jacuzzi suite. This time, we decided to upgrade to a "Themed Suite. " The TV picture was "snowy" so the front desk let me look at another room. The other room had the same problem, so I kept the original almost $200 suite. The Jacuzzi worked, the room looked clean, until the morning. We woke up and there were ants all over the room! I threw a box into the bathtub, and there were hundreds of ants crawling all over the tub. In November. We had to call for a late check out, shaking the bugs out of our clothes to repack them. Before the original checkout time, someone was pounding on our door telling us it was time to go. We replied we had late check out, and got a rude smack on the door in return. We are furious. Anniversary tradition is meaningful to us and we are sad that it may have to change. The ants were everywhere. I took photo and video for documentation. I hope this hotel reaches out to me.

Good location from Detroit, not too far. Isn't the best hotel but it gets the job done, what you expect when you pay that amount for it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It doesn't look like much on the outside and is in a somewhat commercial and industrial neighborhood. The room I had was excellent. The staff businesslike, and the free breakfast above average. I would stay here again.

I Have Stayed Here 7 Times Within The Last Three Months. I Honestly Think This Hotel Is One Of The Worst I Have Stayed At. All 7 Times I Go Into My Room The Carpet Is Never Vacuumed. Cracks In The Drywall. Than When You Turn The Heater On Or Air On. It Either Gets Too Hot Or Too Cold. When You Go To Turn The Water On, There Is A Smell At First. Then They Say At The Front Desk The Check Out Time Is 11:00am But The Welcome Book In Your Room Says 12. Doesn't Make Since. I Would Not Recommend This place At All. Not Worth $75. Not Even Worth $40 To Me. 7 Times I Stayed Here. That Was Enough For Me. It Is The Same Everytime. Plus Some Of The Staff Are Rude. The Days Inn Down The Street Was Better Than This Dump.

My visit to this hotel was very short, as I left within 10 minutes of checking in. This hotel was easily the dirtiest hotel I have seen in a very long time. I would rather sleep in my car rather then staying here.

Nice place to stay. Ended up getting upgraded to suite. King bed was a little stiff and light went out but other than that it was good.

Coould be cleaner. Spider weds in the corner of the rooms, and stained sheets. I stayed in the "Safari room" and you can tell the hot tub was not cleaned out. Hair left in the hot tub, opened soap. Breakfast was good and so was customer service. But they need to hire new house keeping people.

Room smelled awful. I even tried cleaning it and disinfecting myself but the smell kept returning. Hotel needs an upgrade. If everything looked like the lobby, it would be awesome.

The value was ok, it's a older hotel kind of dated. The breakfast was decent, eggs, hash browns, waffles, ham, and other basics. Staff was nice. Location, stores and restaurants are around. I would stay here again for the value. Rooms are dim, needs better lighting. Microwave and fridge provide.

The service was mediocre at best. The receptionist couldn't be bothered to look at from her phone to notice my family standing in front of her. Saturday night had a party in the banquet hall loud enough to hear all the way down the hall. I tried calling the desk but the phone didn't work. At 11 pm I walked to the desk to ask if they would consider turning the music down and I was told "it'll be over in an hour. " Hot and cold water were both warm. No bed bugs though. That's worth 1 star.

The bar has loads or potential. Restroom smells of sulphur, wait staff is horrible. And drinks are nothing special.

Crossland for the amount money one pays for the night is wonderful. The exterior of hotel looks just like the picture on the site not one of the places that looks nice in the picture and horrible in person. The interior is not bad the rooms are clean.

This place has bed bugs and the owners won't pay for you throwing your things away. Or for doctors bills.

Good room, great staff, toilet didn't work and was easily moved to another room with working toilet.

Had no issues. But the mattres was on the harder side. The nice ladys gave us discounts for 2 nights loved the free breakfest. Coffee was good.

Part hotel part unwanted petting zoo. The entire day… (literally sun up to sun down and probably outside right now) is a entire heard of ducks which walk the grounds. Going anywhere outside is you literally sidestepping mindfields of duck poop everywhere you turn. There's entire walkway which is completely owned by the ducks and the poop that lays on it. Fighting nature is one thing but knowone on payroll can do even a moderate sweep up of the grounds? on top of everything else the Wi-Fi was terrible. No quality at this inn at all.

My wedding, reception & New Years Eve party was held here on 12/31/15. I must say that this was one of the worst decisions that I've ever made! The service received from the front desk manager Nicole, was beyond horrible & totally unprofessional. The front desk receptionist Nikki, also lacked professionalism! The service that I & some of my guest received was truly outrageous! From incorrect room assignments, incorrect room charges, BED BUGS etc this was the worst hotel experience ever! This was supposed to be a joyous & non stressful day for me however due to the rudeness, disrespect & lack of professionalism that was received, it definitely started my day out completely wrong! The General Manager sat is his office the entire time & showed no interest or concern for what was occurring at his front desk (I'm very sure that he heard & saw some of the commotion). There's person that I've worked with since I began planning this in June, that has shown nothing but kindness, helpfulness & has been beyond professional! Jackie, is the true example of what front desk representation should be when guest call or arrive! I will take this matter beyond this review that I've posted however I wanted to advise that this hotel is definitely not a wise choice to stay at or hold an event! Thanks for making my wedding day experience with your hotel a horrible experience to remember!

I like the king suit big bed & the big desk 4 my laptop. My husband likes the big screen TV.

I was there for a work meeting as I am every couple of months. It's a great price for senior management but I find the place disgusting and would never recommend anyone stays there. Staff is friendly and rooms could be clean but the place gives me a bad vibe.

I didn't stay the night but had a meeting in the conference room. The bathroom was blocked with tables and the hallways were stinky. No paper towels or napkins at all in the room.

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay. The receptionist at the desk by the name of Mrs. Nicole A, made it possible. She was a big help, from making my reservations prior to our stay and all the way until she left, because she doesn't work on Sunday's. Thank you for making our stay a night to remember.

I wish I could give negative 10 stars. These people need to review their laws and means of operation. I booked a hotel with my business to stay here for a night and because I was under 21 I was denied access to stay. Yet the lady working at night could not even provide me with information on who owned the establishment, what other hotels in the area were owned by the company, etc. She knew nothing and she could not even show me where in the terms of use it said 21, I read through it and it did not. Now I understand you can block out some people because you want your hotel to be safe, but I was trying to catch a flight the morning after, every other hotel has made accommodations, if I could give a word of advice to the owner of this business, fire all your staff, they have no idea what they are doing. Hire new staff, make sure they know your name, make sure they know how to navigate your website, and teach them how to distinguish between someone traveling for business and a low life druggie. judging by the reviews on here and yelp, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. Save yourself the trouble.

Was traveling for work and was supposed to stay at this hotel for three weeks. After my first night I called and got my hotel changed. They only have three working cameras for the whole hotel (and anyone can obtain that knowledge by just going to the front desk). There are drunk people yelling outside your window and outside your door for hours late at night. Creepy men hanging around outside all day. The parking lot is full of trash. My room smelled like mold and had to spray half a bottle of perfume around for it to smell okay. Would never stay here again.

Sketchy looking outside, and not much better inside. Holes in the wall, and a nasty odor that slaps you when you walk into your room. The AC leaks onto the floor, and the beds are incredibly floppy.

Walking in you could smell the stench mildew and mold. The front clerk Nancy was nice and about as helpful as she could be. Walking to the suite that we ordered was like something out of a cross between Boyz in da hood and the walking dead. It smelled horrible in that hallway. Also on the way walking to the suite it was very loud and dark. We entered our room and another wave of a horrific smell hit us like a ton of bricks! The mildew and mold smell got 10x worse. The room was freezing, we did our little search of cleanliness like always in hotel room and what we found was disgusting. A long black hair under the covers and right next to it was a short and curly black hair, You probably guess what that was. The dresser was missing a knob on the drawer, which could have easily cut my wife or I. Then we searched the sides of the beds and found what seemed to be blood stains on both sides of the box springs. Im not a %100 if it was blood but thats what it looked like to us. The view out our sliding glass door on the 1st floor was just as bad. There was garbage outside and tore up bricks all over the place. The hot tub was also missing some type of nozzle inside the tub as well. We were told that our money would be refunded when we went back up to the front desk to talk to Nancy. She said she tried to refund us but the computer wouldnt allow it since she wasnt a manager. She told us we'd have to wait for the manager Jackie to arrive at 10pm.

The service was good… The housekeeping was very friendly and understanding. The front desk staff were very sweet… I had my reception here and purchased drink tickets. The barmaid cheated my guest out of money… Causing my guest to double pay for drinks… I paid for them in advance and they paid, that was my only complaint. All in all everything else was good.

They let us smoke inside and didn't bother us for the four days we were there.

Hotel is one of the older quality inn's i've ever seen. Box tv, Room had a smell, but linen was clean. Wi fi was strong. Wasnt able to check in till 4 due to sold out night prior, ughh. Everyone was very nice from house keeping to front desk. Breakfast was nominal. Eggs looked fake, so I didn't even bother. Business center copies was $. 50 per page, smh wow. Hotel price was good though so it was worth the stay. Choice Diamond Member.

I wish I had read the reviews before we checked in. I found this hotel to have a serious stale smoke odor as well. I noticed it as soon as I entered through the side door. The room smelled, and the air was so dry, I woke up several times during the night for water. We still managed to stay for 2 nights, but they never made the beds, cleaned the room or gave us fresh towels.

The room and hallways ways smelled of stale smoke. We checked in and checked right back out. Thankfully they gave us our money back. However it screwed up our weekend plans. Note this a non-smoking facility and was a non-smoking room.
