Too expensive, small rooms, poor service This is basically a sleazy motel with some funky paint and free bike rentals. I had a "King room" to myself and I could barely move around in it. The TV was on the desk, so there was no room to do any real work. The bathroom reminded me of the chainsaw murder scene in Scarface. No towels in the bathroom when I arrived, I had to make a special request so I could take a shower. Tiny little parking spaces so it's impossible to open car doors without denting your neighbour's car. The "pool" is basically the size of a hot tub. Way too expensive for what it offers. Great downtown location, but the Delta and Prestige offer better value for money. I requested a phone call from the manager which I never received. Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning. 07/26/2018 Still haven't heard from the manager.

Fun, clean and right across the road from the city park and beach. Location is great for excessing places in the downtown without jumping into a vehicle. Only two downfalls are it can be very noisy and hard to sleep because of the nearby clubs and the rooms are very tiny. Almost hard for 2 people to move around in a king bed room. I wouldn't want to spend a week in this place because of that reason but good for a night or two stay.

The staff here is fantastic. I asked for an early check-in and was not only given that but they upgraded my room for no cost. Another friendly staff member allowed my friend to park her car in the lot overnight. Very accomodating within reason. Overall a great experience, and the location is perfect. Will definitely return.

It's a cool place to stay at where you can have a great time playing old games like Jenga and other board games. Their rooms are very clean and eclectic. They have the most comfortable bed and the softest pillow in all the hotels I've stayed at.

They put comics in all the rooms which is awesome. There are bunk beds which is also awesome. Very central to everything. A little pricey but, very cool theme.

Incredible experience! This place was super chill and had a great nostalgic feel. Loved the retro vibes. Friendly staff and everything was walking distance from the hotel. A must stay in Kelowna.

Great location, great service, and decent rooms. A little older motel converted to a funky cool spot in thr heart of downtown Kelowna. Priced right for the room. Great value. Rooms are as expected for an older building. Enjoyed our stay.

By far one of the best locations for hotel in Kelowna. Right in front of the beach. On weekends it does get noisy coz its besides couple of clubs. But definitely worth staying here.

The hotel is in a very scenic location. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I would not recommend staying here with young teens or children. We had a really bad experience with a crack head chasing our girls into a room and trying to get in. There is no security here. There is a homless shelter right across the street. I ended up having to address the situation myself. I was supposed to receive a call from the manager about the situation but haven't received one yet.

Hotel Zed is a very unique and we'll serviced motel. The building is an old motel that they renovated into its current state. The aesthetic is really memorable. The service staff were excellent. The rooms are a little small, but very comfortable and well furnished. Overall it was an excellent place to stay.

It's a trendy hotel in downtown Kelowna. But if you're looking for a quiet hotel, go somewhere else. While the seating areas outside the rooms are a nice touch, it also invites people to talk at 1:30am right outside your room. I had to get up and ask them to tone it down. Also walked out in the morning to cigarette smoke although it does state that smoking is not allowed on the walkways.

Very cool hotel! Kids were thrilled and had a blast. Only downside was arriving home and having our brand new Hotel Zed sunglasses literally fall apart. : (

We loved this hotel. Room 250 was the best — it had a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, a little sitting area, and it overlooked the park. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There were great amenities like ping pong, bikes, roller skating, and the disco karaoke lounge. Super great and fun for our family. The park across the street is also great for kids, with a great playground, and there is awesome ice cream at the corner of the block at PARLOUR ice cream.

Fabulous, Fantastic, Fun. Don't want to stay anywhere else but this hotel. The staff are the best, rooms are very clean, and you feel relaxed and comfortable. Love the whole theme.

Just awesome. Love the decor. Great service. Great price. Cherry on the cake was the nice, soft complementary ear plugs in the room. Nice touch.

Extremely friendly staff and awesome atmosphere. Sadly it was snowing like crazy so we couldn't take advantage of the free rollerskate/bike rental but got to enjoy the ping pong lounge and hot tub. Plus the location right down town is unbeatable. Will for sure go again!

Hotel staff and facilities were great. Loved the hipster theme to the place, very cool and very well done. Would have enjoyed some sort of breakfast but with free Wi-Fi and coffee you can't really complain. Ping pong lounge was a nice bonus.

Good location as far as proximity to downtown but it is between two of the sketchiest streets in Kelowna. Everyone was friendly. The room was really clean, and small accents and the paint job made it a bit more interesting and comfortable than a typical hotel room. This is actually a motel.

Quirky and fun little old motel that had been renovated. Rooms are colourful and funky but also comfortable. Smart TVs in the rooms are great as you can watch Netflix, etc. No elevator so if you're on the third floor you need to lug your luggage up a few flights.

The coolest hotel I have ever stayed at! Rooftop patio was awesome for bringing friends over. The rooms were clean, had eclectic furniture, and were cozy. Highly recommend!

My husband, daughter and I stayed 3 nights here while in Kelowna for work. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, with awesome retro decor. The beds were comfortable and had clean linens. The location is perfect for quick access to downtowns trendy shops, cafes and restaurants. Its also directly across the street from a gorgeous lake side park which has an awesome walking path with amazing views and beach access points. The hotel had some vintage typewriters in the lobby that my daughter really enjoyed using to send letters home to family. There were also bikes/helmets for all sizes — my daughter and I used them to tour the lake side walking path, beaches and marshlands for hours, which we loved and were so grateful for. The only thing that detracted from the wonderful stay was the paper thin walls/floors. The noises from the people above and around us and the insanely loud base (music) coming from a nearby nightclub kept us awake each night until last call around 230am. If we had been on vacation we might not have been bothered as much, but since we were in town for work, the lack of quiet sleep was unfortunate. The parking lot was too small for our big truck and was always full, but there was overflow parking in the alley with security so it wasnt all that inconvenient. Overall, the hotel does a great job with what they have! It was a really fun place to stay!

Ultimately, it's a hip looking cheap motel. The room furnishings are nice, the staff were helpful and the bathrooms clean. But there are some things you can't change about an old motel: our tiny room had no closet, and the under-window AC unit was noisy. My room smelled like wet dog, though the sheets were fine. If you're staying for one night, the roller skates and free bikes won't do you any good… but maybe if you're staying a few days.

I had great time with my kids in this hotel, colorful funky decor which kids liked it a lot. Little small areas and corners hidden here and there for kids to explore, disco room, rollerskaters and boarding games, little pool and ping pong to play and coloring sheets placed on high colorful stools. Most important the nice smiles on staff faces, kind, helpful and welcoming, I checked out from a higher star rated "well-known" hotel chain to enjoy Zed hotel which I highly recommend for vacation with kids. If it happens to visit Kelowna again, Zed will be my choice again.

The location is amazing, right across from the park. But the location is also right on the edge of a very sketchy neighborhood. It is an older hotel with a ton of character, but the walls are quite thin and not sound proofed much. This place has a ton of character though with comics and rotory phones in the rooms. They also have a ping pong room and beautiful rooftop patios. Overall enjoyed it.

Clean, newly renovated. Our room had a view. Bathroom is small but functional. I liked our stay! Retro feel lobby. Has a small pool and hot tub which we didn't get to use this time. Would stay again!

Good place with a beautiful view. The amenities are quite unique and functional with bikes, a dance hall, historical elements that will be interesting to kids and adults alike. And the staff are great. However, the Location is loud so don't come here if you need sleep. The beds are extra firm for those that like that. And the rooms are very small.

The staff here are friendly and helpful. The coffee in the morning is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable as well as cute. Hotel Zed has a great nightlife, that said, if you are coming for peace and quiet you may not find it here in the spring and summer on the weekends. This hotel is close to everything you need and is right near the lake and park. It is a great, fun place to stay in Kelowna.

I loved this hotel. So much fun! Right in downtown and steps away from the lake! Awesome ladies at the reception! My kids loved all the amenities. The swimming pool is pretty small though. They have a roof top patio to enjoy your midnight chats. Awesome hotel for families and friends! Very clean! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

Had a fantastic weekend stay at Hotel Zed (with one small exception). This is easily one of the funnest properties we have stayed at. Bright, colourful, and located across the street from the lake. We loved the 3 roof top patios, a great place to end your day. This property is located right downtown and is within walking distance to loads of shopping and restaurants. The one exception to our fantastic stay was the noise that followed the close of business for some nearby niteclubs. I sleep like a rock and didn't hear a thing, but my wife was awakened by the noise which she said only lasted a few minutes. Would we stay here again? Definitely, we'll be back.

Even though it has just recently opened, the rooms are incredibly clean and have an excellent retro chic feel. Very bright colours and inviting rooms. Though all the amenities where not fully functional or in place (only open for three days at the time of our stay. ) the staff more than made up for it. Steven and Stuart where the night staff that went above and beyond what I would expect of any hotel staff to acquire what we where asking for. Though it was not what we where expecting, it was a very pleasant surprise. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Location is great, service was epic and rooms were absolutely spotless could not have asked for better definately recomend this hotel and will be staying here whenever in kelowna.

Didn't even have the chance to stay there, while checking in was insulted by front desk clerk named Steve who abruptly cancelled my reservation after telling him how offended I was at his comments. He had zero customer service skills IMO and the place looked kind of dumpy so I went down the street to the Prestige Hotel where I was given the respect a paying guest should have.

I went there during the dead season, where it was switching from fall to winter. So, get a really cheap deal including the flight. Hotel staff were all super friendly. Room was clean and nothing in our room was broken or improperly functioning. They might have offered more for breakfast (which is included in your stay) as the food options are limited and they have to pick a more complicated password for their wireless internet service as it is easy to find out and being abused by near facilities. Location is great, few steps away from the lake shore and few blocks away from the downtown core. Enjoyed my stay.

Great location, walking distance to everything in downtown Kelowna. Friendly staff and a great price. We stayed over the weekend, only complaint is that it is a little loud after the clubs get out which are close to the hotel. Kind of expected that being downtown and all.
