Beware, if you are a second class citizen and do not have a v a ccine, you will be denied a hot breakfast like the first class guests, but instead given a cold pre packaged breakfast sandwhich in a grab bag. But they will graciously let you heat it up… in your own room. Isn’t that nice. You also cannot sit in the main area to eat with the first class guests, you must take your cold sandwhich to go or back to your room to eat.
And no, there is no room discount. I wonder if they have a special floor or special rooms for the second class 🤔 *Alberta
There is no excuse for this. Be decent and close the dining area but allow everyone the hot breakfast they pay for. Or have it served, or pre package a hot meal. This is discrimination and there are ways around it while still following covid protocols.

Yes I would definitely recommend their hotels, they are very clean, friendly and accommodating. Their breakfast is amazing lots to choose from.

I work at the Canalta Tisdale. We recently had a staff members son pass away. We decided we would start a go fund me page for her. We got ahold of members from the Canalta Hotels across Canada. I'm not only blown away by the kind gesture of all these people donating, but the amount of people who commented saying we stand as a canalta family. I am beyond grateful to work in a company who cares so much about their staff & the guests. This hotel and all Canaltas are such an amazing company. What an unbelievable gesture, truly amazed and blown away.

I stayed at the Canalta Jurassic Hotel for part of my field school for university so I was not present within the hotel very long. However when I was, the stay was very nice as the hotel was kept very clean and all the staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was good as well. If I had any complaints which might not even apply to everyone was that the hotel does have a smell of popcorn as there is a free popcorn machine. Overall this hotel was a nice change of pace from the dry harsh conditions of Drumheller.

Thank you to the front desk staff for an awesome experience and their willingness to answer our questions. They were friendly and made themselves available. The room was great, complete with couch, microwave and mini fridge. The spa room is small, but it was just the right size for our family. We met good folks during our stay at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious and fun. Some may not like making their own waffles, but I felt that it was a nice touch.

I enjoyed my stay here. We had a 2-queen suite for my family of 4. The hotel rooms were very nice, spacious, and clean. Breakfast was good and the swim area is very nice. I would give 5-stars, however check in was supposed to be at 3 and we didn't get in until 4. We were compensated for the delay which was nice. Other than that, very good experience.

We enjoyed our one night stay here. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the hot tub was large and our kids were able to swim in it a little. The continental breakfast was great with cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea and juice. They even had gluten free cereal provided which I appreciated. During breakfast a man came with a Dinosaur (another man in a costume) that danced and roared and took pictures with us, that was a nice surprise! We were pleased with all of this and felt it was a good value for our money. Thank you!

For the most part it was good. The only disappointing thing is there wasn't an extra person to help at the breakfast so when the coffee ran out there was no one to fill it for about 10min and we had to get going. Also it would be nice to have some better fruit. But everyone was lovely and it was an incredibly comfortable stay! Thank you!

The regular room rate is $195, which seems excessive for what you get. Overall the room was good. Nice to have an outside entrance. Breakfast was okay, typical continental — get there early or all the hot stuff will be gone. All the staff were courteous and friendly.

Exceptional customer service! Met upon arrival out front so we didn't unload all our bags because room had an outside entrance. Service and friendliness the next morning for breakfast and check out was second to none! Great experience. Thank you!

Great hotel, and well deserving of its quality reviews. Friendly and attentive staff all acknowledge the guests. The continental breakfast is excellent and rooms are spacious and clean, and they feel new. The free popcorn at night in the lobby is a great touch. A/C works great and internet is secure for each room. The price is also a great value when comparing other hotels. The hotel easily caters to families. Very happy. Thanks Canalta for showing me your hotel network is now one to consider for my Western Canadian stays.

I typically don't write negative reviews, but I believe this will help the management to improve this property. Staff was lovely and professional. Front clerk was pleasant. Room was adequate. Breakfast was nil at best. Even for continental, it is not meet standards. Travelling with our daughter, I did not feel comfortable feeding her stale muffins and hard boiled eggs from a cooler. Not sure if I would stay here again.

Great little hotel with adequate breakfast included. Close to everything you need. The rooms are nice and very clean and the beds were comfortable. We arrived a bit early at 1:30 pm but the grumpy desk clerk told us "check in is not until 3:00 pm, so go away and come back at 3". There was no apology or attempt to see if any rooms where cleaned and ready to go. I was somewhat taken aback by her attitude, perhaps she was tired. Any way we did leave and came back at 5 pm after visiting the museum for a bit. The next desk clerk Devon was very pleasant and helpful, he even called our room after we settled in to check to see if we had every thing that we needed. The breakfast room was very busy in the morning at 7:15 and was out of all the hot food. The food worker was busy cooking and trying to keep up with demand. Overall very pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel at Drumheller with family visiting from the UK. Front desk was very helpful with information. Staff were friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would visit again and have become a Canalta Rewards Member.

It's nice and clean, beds are not as terrible as most hotels, they give lots of pillows which is awesome. I think something was wrong with the ac in our room but we got it comfortable enough. My only complaint is day 2 we walked in the lobby and got scolded by the front desk woman about our dog. We picked this place specifically because the website had a big pet friendly stamp on the front, and we paid extra for him, so I didn't really appreciate getting a lecture from this woman. All in all its a nice hotel in a good area. Right next door to Tim Hortons. No pool though, just an over sized hot tub.

Being the off season it was relatively quiet, both the hot tub and the sauna were excellent. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. Staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a enjoyable stay.

Our stay was good. Room was nice except the carpet was in need of some repair. All else was good. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Hockey Weekend The hotel is great and clean, Lori from the front desk, is very professional, pleasant and friendly, she provides exceptional service. She goes out of her way to ensure that everything is good. Lori is always smiling and makes sure to say hello when you are leaving the hotel or returning.

I held my wedding reception here and the lady in charge of that (her name is escaping me) went ABOVE and beyond for me. She was so amazing! Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. Will be back for sure! Oh and my husband loved the jet tub in the honeymoon suite lol.

Doors in the second floor room had an inch or so gap from the floor, so you could hear other guests and their conversations as they walked by. Popcorn smell as well too in the evenings. Other than that, room was quiet from road noise and blackout curtains worked well.

For a hotel of its class it was very good. Comments on the breakfast room being small and lacking selection confused me as it is as large or larger and more comfortable as other types of hotels in its class. Rooms clean and modern and up to date. I don't know average prices in town so can't comment on the room price. Nice to see a Kurig in the rooms as opposed to cheap coffee machines. Would recommend for sure.

We had an unexpected car break down while visiting Drumheller. Canalta Jurassic Hotel was very helpful at getting us suite and allowing my family and I to check in early. They had a hot tub and steam room that was relaxing not only for the parents, but also our 3 kids. They did not miss the pool. It was affordable, clean and comfortable.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Problems I had was with noise. We had a lower unit with an extra door to the parking lot and we could hear everything going on outside door. Also units doors have an inch of space under so you can actually look under which my child discovered. Which for privacy is very sketchy and really makes noise an issue from the internal hallway. Would I go back… No. If I was stuck and needed a place… Maybe.

Nice big rooms, comfy beds and clean. Lots of bathroom amenities. Even number rooms on level 2 look over housing but odd number will have road view and sunrise. Breakfast spread was acceptable with waffles, sausage and bacon. Bagels, yoghurt, fruit and juice. Staff aren't overly friendly especially for Canadian standards Highly recommended still.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 4 nights in June. Hotel was quiet, room on second floor was spacious with couch, had comfortable king bed, and we had the large hot tub to ourselves each time we went. Free breakfast was consistently good and front desk staff very friendly.

Very courteous staff and big rooms. The bathrooms seem to be divided in an interesting manner, with the sink being outside, connecting with the actual hotel room itself. Otherwise, the hotel felt new and it was very clean. I also appreciated the lack of bibles in my room. This was a first for me and I appreciated it.

Great hotel with a modern feel. The Wi-Fi in the room would cut out every once in a while and need to be reconnected, but other than that everything else was great.

Hotel seemed a little small but very good service and a nice hot tub spa area.

I stayed at this hotel recently. We stayed at this hotel based on reviews and the good experience of friends who had recently stayed there. The room was clean and the breakfast was okay. I was very disappointed upon checkout. We had gone to Drumheller to go to the museum with our two young children. One ended up getting sick; feverish and lethargic. I asked for a late check-out (1) so that I could take my 3 yr old to the museum while my husband could stay with our daughter and let her sleep for a couple hours. They finally consented to 12:00 and acted as though this was an amazing favour. The lack of understanding and flexibility was startling.

We paid 168$ and when we get inside on our room 127, im curious about what inside the room I check everything, window with flies like 3 of them ofcourse im gonna have to kill it, after half an hour I see a big insect on the carpet like black maybe came under the bed, I see dead flies on their towel, their aircondition was so noisy like I have to wake 3times at that night. Dont waste your money their.

Only use this hotel if you have no other choice, very noisy and stale smell from old carpet. The unit we booked had a kitchenette that the stove was dead, for $220.00 a night that was a rip off, with shady breakfast.
