Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and quiet. I enjoyed the meals in the adjacent restaurant. Great service and tasty meals. I definitely would select this hotel on my next visit.

Good basic hotel, for the travelling family or professional. Rooms are clean, albeit a bit dated. Clearly some maintenance and renos have been done, but could use some additional minor/cosmetic improvements… flooring upgrades, etc. Definitely need some new shower heads! Staff were friendly and reasonably efficient. They accidentally charged my credit card twice for the room, but caught this soon after we checked in, fixed the error, and apologized.

Good basic accommodation. Staff was friendly. Rooms were dated. Breakfast for two was included. They had rooms that allowed pets. The attached restaurant has a good local reputation and served tasty food. Parking lot puts the majority of parking near a liquor store which seemed weird.

Only had breakfast but it was delicious! Great service and the Wi-Fi was really fast, just ask nicely for the password.

Amazing been there lots always good deal always have pet rooms favourite place to stay in rocky … even get a liquor store discount when book a room!

Working here in Rocky first time eating out went to tamaracl inn for meal and had 6 oz steak absolutely the worst steak I've ever had ordered medium rare and it was so tough and chewy it was inedible told waitress and offered 10 % off basically paid 12 bucks for a bowl of marginal fries. The worst meal and service ever. Do not recommend.

It was a place only to overnight. Not much comfort. The owners are picky in the number of people. We have two small kids and we only got a bed not really big. The continental breakfast is poor in variety, and there is pretty small. They dont want you to taje anything to the room even for the kids that were sleeping after a log trip. The convinient part it is pretty close to the hwy to continue an early morning trip.

Went to a Christmas party in the bar the server's did an amazing job with drinks and making sure they never ran out the food wasn't bad but it would of been better if it would of been more of a Christmas meal and a better dessert assortment.

Nothing not to like about the Tamarack. I was travelling on a budget when I stayed here, and compared to some of the places I have stayed the Tamarack is a palace. Superb value for money, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The room was thoughtfully laid out, great bathroom, comfy couch, good fridge/freezer, clean and cared for. Breakfast was included, and was generous and served with a smile. The Wi-Fi and Internet were top notch, which is really important if you are making up as you go along, which is the best way to see Canada :-) Its one of those places that you don't want to leave because you feel pretty sure the next one won't live up to the same standard. Unreserved recommendation.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack. Our room was much bigger than I expected and had a separate shower/bathtub. The bed was really comfortable and I slept fairly well. They had a large group of golfers staying there the night we did so I expected it to be noisier but we didn't really hear anything after we went into our room. Due to the golfers, we received coupons for the Sunday breakfast buffet and that was exceptional! The food and the staff in the restaurant was great, and I would recommend the hotel/restaurant to everyone.

Stayed one night on a motorcycle trip. Friendly staff, free breakfast, and reasonable rates. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. They even let us park our bikes in their locked workshop for safe keeping. I would stay again.

Great breakfast included. Though little stingey on the tea costs. Overall great time. Lovely waitresses and a real nicely air conditioned room.

Walked in and we sat down, we're offered the brunch and it didn't look very appealing. Most of the food looked like it had sat out for a while and most pans were empty. So we left.

Great place macdonalds is next door.

Stopped in for some food at the restaurant and another time at the bar while I was staying in town. The burger I had was awesome and definitely enjoyed the mash potatoes. Free pool in the bar! Staff was pretty friendly. Will visit again! :).

I have never actually written a food review before but I felt this place warranted a review. My wife and I went in there for breakfast 20 minutes before the cut off for breakfast. We waited (timed and not exaggerated) 15 minutes for our waitress to come along. No problem, it happens. I then ordered off the lunch menu (as it was open) and my wife off the breakfast (pancakes). Keep in mind the time is now 5 minutes to cut off. Our waitress advised us the breakfast menu is now done. Oh well. Then a couple sat down at the table next to us, and a different waitress served them. They got immediate service, and then they ordered breakfast. AND GOT IT!? Oh well, we already placed our order. Food was "decent", I enjoyed my burger. My wife then finished her sandwich, and ordered a fruit salad. It took forever to get the fruit salad, the waitress apologizing 2 times for the wait. We got the fruit salad, and it literally looked and tasted identical to a Del Monte fruit cup in a measly serving bowl. It was sloppy, wet and like I said. Tasted spot on for a del monte fruit cup. We politely declined the fruit salad, and asked to send it back and get our bill. So we went to pay our bill, and we noticed the fruit salad was on our bill. I spoke with our waitress and advised her that I was not paying $4 for a cup of canned fruit that I did not eat. No problem, she took it off the bill. So I re-look over our new bill. And all of a sudden the 2nd bill has a "side of fries" on it!
