Copperstone Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at Copperstone Resort. Our 2-bedroom + den unit was very spacious and could easily fit up to 8 people comfortably. The location is beautiful, quiet, and only about a 20-minute drive from Banff, so it’s easy to get to all the main attractions. The unit was very clean, and having underground parking was a big plus. We had a great experience, and if we come back to Banff, we’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it🏞️🇨🇦

Great stay not far from Canmore and Banff at a much more palatable price point! The resort was great, nice quality with a very nice room that worked fine even for 5 adults (although a little tight, especially with only one bathroom). The hot tub was really nice although unfortunately not much of a mountain view despite being outside.
Front desk hours were limited, only 12-10pm so that made check-out questions or adjustments a little annoying, but just make sure you're aware in advance.
Overall this was a great location where I'd happily stay again.

We discovered Copperstone Resort a few years ago. It’s now our first choice for a short mountain vacation. We enjoy the relaxing environment and location. It’s handy to Canmore and on into Banff.
It’s clean and comfortable. Just the way we like it! Excellent value!

Stayed 2 nights. Nice enough building, very typical rental pool type suites. Hot tub available. Underground parking for shorter vehicles if under 7' but steep entry. This location is approx 15 minutes away from Canmore.
Quiet, not much road noise. Nice views.
Some suites pet friendly-appreciate that.

**they drag the big garbage cans in/out of the parking garage am & pm-super loud. I honestly thought it was thunder, lol.
**The bed is well, horrible. Super lumpy & uncomfortable.
Way too small of a mattress for the frame. (Great toe stubber though, lol. )
**Shower is great but super dark-no light except vanity mirror-maybe remove the outer dark curtain?
Overall, not a bad place but just too far away from everything for us to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Copperstone Resort. The suite was very spacious and comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice bonus after a long day. We also appreciated that they accommodated our late checkout request with no issues.
The only downside was that the reception desk is only open during certain hours. In my opinion, it would be better if reception was open during checkout time as well.
Overall, if the price is right, we would definitely stay here again.

The customer service was amazing! Whoever was at the desk was able to give information needed as well as tips and recommendations for our first trip into both Canmore and Banff!
The rooms were great! A little outdated, but we were comfortable, rooms were spacious and we had a great view of the mountains! Full kitchen provided as well which was great, we’re able to make our own meals! The location of this resort is amazing, as it was quiet and there is a breakfast spot, coffee shop as well as a liquor store all within walking distance!
I’d highly recommend this resort for your next stay if you are heading out to Banff/ Canmore!

First time staying at the Copperstone Resort and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. First of all, location is great, less than 10 mins to Canmore. There is a coffee place, liquor store, 2 gas stations and Husky House restaurant close by which is great. Resort was clean and well maintained with nice amenities such as gym and pool/hot tub. Loved the under ground parking, easy to access. Over all great spot and would stay here again in a heart beat.

Perfect Airbnb location for a trip to Banff & Canmore. Spectacular views and easy access everywhere. Location is perfect and avoids traffic congestion. So peaceful, exactly what you want on a trip to the Rockies. Brand new shopping center minutes away and walking distance to coffee shops & trails, and delivery apps also deliver groceries if you prefer.

We called in the morning to notify them that we'll check in late. They said no problem, and that the code and instructions can be emailed (they do not have a front desk in the evenings). But we had to call several times through the day before we finally recieved the instructions. And they cut it very close to 10PM before it was resolved.
The mattress and pillows were not good at all. I understand stiffness is subjective, but I also believe that stiffness will surprise most. Lastly, the blanket and duvet cover were too small for myself and my partner to share. They fit the mattress size — but without any slack. So, if you sleep with a partner, either bring a blanket or ask for an extra (although I've seen several reviews here talk about dirty sheets being a problem.
Pet friendly suites are convenient on the 1st floor with a sliding door outside.

Extremely unprofessional and misleading —
This property uses a keyless entry system and check-out is listed as 10:00 AM. We packed up and left the room right at that time, but accidentally left a couple of small bags inside. When we returned at 10:01 AM, we were already locked out. We then tried to get help from the front desk, only to discover that the front desk does not open until 12:00 PM. There was supposedly an “after hours security line, ” but after multiple calls we received no response at all.
Because the building layout is confusing, we ended up wandering around trying to regain access and were eventually locked out of the garage while my dog was still in the car as I was grabbing the last bag. We had no way to contact staff and had to rely on other guests to let us back into the building. I was honestly close to panicking and considering calling 911 for help.
How is this an acceptable system? If access is cut off immediately at 10:00 AM and there is no staff available, that needs to be made explicitly clear during the check-in process. To make matters worse, other guests were locked out as well. Some were using the hot tub and believed check-out was 11:00 AM, not 10:00 AM. They ended up locked out of the building in their swimsuits with no way to reach property management.
Lastly, the pricing is misleading. The room was advertised at $170 per night, but once a $120 cleaning fee and other charges were added, the actual nightly cost was over $300.

Rooms were amazing and they had everything we needed in their kitchen to make a delicious meal. The only downfall was that the hot tub was under maintenance most of our stay.

However, they have a policy to close the outdoor hot tub at — 20 Celsius (so a good portion of winter). I’ve stayed at my fair share of places with outdoor hot tubs in winter, and this is the first time I’ve come across this. Our group was very disappointed to come back after skiing one evening, that just reached — 20, to find the hot tub closed with a note that said maintenance was working to get it back open as soon as possible. However, I asked the staff member at the front if there was something wrong with it or if it was a policy, and he said that they aren’t allowed to let anyone use it once temperatures reached — 20. Not the staff’s fault, but I think that’s a silly policy in Canada. I could understand — 30 (though you can still hot tub in that), but — 20 is just sad.

Lovely stay! The suite was in good condition, clean, and had lots of space for the family. We had the 1 bedroom, which had a second bunk room for the kids. It is walking distance from Eclipse Coffee, yum! The kitchen is also fully stocked with everything you need (but food).
The beds are comfy and clean, and we had a nice view of the mountains.
We will definitely be back.

Very disappointed. I have stayed at Copperstone resort a couple of times. This was the worst. First the staff that did the check in was horrible. Gave me instructions on how to check in. But not all information. Had a paper with old information. I guess they can't afford to copy new ones. The new way to get in to the parking is a QR code which is in your room. No instructions other then old piece of paper from when there were park passes. I'm sorry after travelling all day and getting how many codes you can't give a paper with new instructions. No excuses!
Then the room, dishwasher started leaking. Thank goodness I noticed as we were just about to leave. No rags or tea towels for spills or cleaning up a leaking dishwasher. One tea towel one dish cloth. 2 face clothes for 6 people. There is cheap and then there is just plain ignorance. Master bed room the comforter was stained. Dirty dishes in the cupboards. Not that I can blame the last one to stay as they probably only had one tea towel and dishcloth.
If you are going to have a pet friendly room please put how many dogs are allowed. Everywhere I've stayed has size and number of pets. People travel a long way and if my son would have showed up with his dog we would have been told only 2… then what!?
To see a really nice place go down like this is sad. So many other places for people to stay. I wish I would have looked at the ratings and reviews before booking.

Room was amazing! Full kitchen, the underground parking is a must in this weather! The laundry in the room was a terrific way to end the trip, going home with clean clothes. I highly recommend this resort.

If you get a good deal, this place could be a good choice. However, the room had a very strong smell of wet carpet. I noticed several other reviews mentioned the same issue. Unfortunately, the odor was so bad that it took away from everything else. The room was very dark and grotty but the hot tub was great!

One of the best suites I have stayed in for a long time now. Many places in Canmore are starting to show their age but Copperstone Resort was impeccably maintained, the suite was beautiful. It was well stocked with good quality items. A very quiet, peaceful place to stay and you're only 5 minutes from Canmore.
