Very friendly staff. Answered all our questions politely. Room was clean and well maintained. Taken by surprise at check-in that there is a company policy to charge a $100. /nite additional charges (that was an additional $300. As staying 3 nights. ) Booked online and, although understand need to do this however should have been mentioned with original booking info. Told the wonderful front desk clerk it was luck that I paid off my VISA card! Hot tub great and really warm swimming pool helps to unwind. Would definitely recommend. Denny's and Moxie's attached. Coffee in room as well as fresh coffee in lobby each AM.

Really nice suites, more like a small one bedroom condo than a hotel/motel room. Clean, secure, and quiet. Competitive rates. Very comfortable. We had a very nice stay without any complaints.

NEVER has any hotel ever told me that since rooms were in short supply, I had to book for a minimum number of nights. Crooked behaviour. I refused and booked with a more ethical hotel nearby.

It was an excellent room for training. The food (which came in three stages through out an 8 hour day) was delicious and varied. The staff were quick to clean while not interrupting the training. Room was comfortable.

I just recently spent two days at the Sandman Hotel, I checked in very late on Friday night and there was a young man named Jacob at the counter he was extremely helpful and very cordial. The room were very clean, the suite I stayed in very nice and updated.

Good place, poor lightning tough, I don't have any sight issues but lightning should be upgraded. Nice pool and hot tub.

Guest Services was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very cleaning and the hallways actually smelled good! When we arrived we recieved a special gift package with complomentary snacks and a set of sleeping accessories. We will definitely be staying there again!

I was taking a worshop held at the hotel. The space was nice but a bit cramped. Otherwise, the space worried ok.

Wonderful experience. Location was easy to find and travel to. Rooms were ready in a reasonable time. There was small damage to the room (the bathroom door would not lock or would lock you inside as you fought with it, and the bathroom doorstop was broken. There was also a minor inconvenience where half of the double duplex receptacle at the desk was unusable due to the height of the desk covering two plugs. Was not interrupted by other guests and was pleasantly surprised by having two main entrances/loading bays on either side of the hotel and loved the modern lobby area. There are knock off Herman Miller lounge chairs on the smaller side of the lobby and deep seat couches (quite comfortable) on the larger side.

Out sourced the housekeeping & laundry; experienced Canadians don’t waste your time applying no matter how qualified… Like they say on the news; those are the jobs we supposedly don’t want… Beautiful lobby in the hotel itself & front desk staff were polite.

Verry professional staff friendly room was clean beds were good yes definitely would stay there again.

Good hotel. Two different restaurants attached, a breakfast place and dinner/bar so that is convenient and another sports bar in the same parking lot. Make you pay $5 to use the computer in the business center, which is ridiculous! Just gave you over $100 a night and I gotta pay to print off my boarding pass! Mattresses also need to be updated. I was told this place was nicer than the Glenmore down the road… I would say it is a toss up.

Great staff. I am a regular corporate traveller with Sandman and got stuck in a jam tonight in Calgary, when I needed some documents printed at 11:00 pm. Even though tonight, I wasn't staying at Sandman, Lisa at the front desk still helped me out with printing and saving me tons of headache. Thank you tons.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room for our event was appropriate. The food was acceptable, if a little bit bland. Overall a great place to hold an event.

Decent stay. Friendly staff. Great Beds. Small Bathroom and only one garbage can in the room. Dennys is good. Moxies is excellent. Shark Club is good. Great area for shopping.

Quiet, comfortable and suites are great. Convenient for getting to and from many locations outside of downtown. Great restaurant attached and bar across parking lot. Best to have a car.

Very friendly staff and great accommodations. Also nice to have the Walmart right next door since we forgot some toiletries.

It was a wonderful experience because we had the dog with us. We could leave him in the room when we went up to the hospital. Good morning coffee and nature bars. Apple's and tea after moons. Felt very welcome. Thank you.

We were traveling through and needed a place for the night. The kids loved the pool, we had a great supper in the attached Moxie's restaurant and the room was clean and comfy. There is also a lot of shopping available in the area though we didn't make use of it this time. Great stay!

Stopped in on our way thru town. It was late and our toddler was done with the road trip. Nice place, friendly staff, and comparable price for the busy season.

King bed in room. Air conditioning. No fridge but stayed for 3 day for about $500. During Calgary stampede weekend. Moxie's and Denny's available places to eat within the hotel.

It was fantastic. Kids loved the pool. Great meal at Moxie's. The rooms were very quiet, clean and modern.

The humidity from the shower set off the fire alarm. It wasn't even steamy/foggy, but the bathroom door was open and the fire alarm was directly outside the door. The problem resolved itself when we closed the bathroom door. Hotel room was otherwise okay.

The General Manager, Barry, is arrogant, aggressive and gave me one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. We booked 30 + rooms for 2-3 nights each as well as a gift opening brunch (where we spent $1500 on food) at this hotel for our wedding weekend and Barry treated us like second class citizens. Everything was an extra expense even though our group was half the guests in the hotel. To make matters worse I was locked out of my room the night before my wedding and I had to sleep on the couch in my fiancee's room. Front desk said there were no extra blankets or pillows for me either. The door was completely broken and had to be fixed by maintenance the next day. Then half way through next day while getting hair/make up done they wanted me to change rooms because they couldn't fix the door. Then when I checked out Barry, the GM insisted they still charge me for the locked room. Barry yelled at me and intimidated me with all sorts of extra charges if I didn't pay for the room. He also lied and said he was the Regional Manager when he is actually NOT. After bringing this hotel thousands of dollars of business I left wishing I had not used them AT ALL. I will never use another Sandman Hotel again because of Barry, he was horrible to deal with.

Over all the hotel was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access the restaurants and other amenities. Room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms are Usually clean except the last time there was hair on the bed bedding wasn't changed I guess and a blood stain on the floor… we switched rooms, the family room is nice… but, the front desk service for the most part needs some more training, they are very picky and explain things in a stressful way instead of with a smile… they actually asked me in a loud voice as I walked in with great anxiety if my little baby girl was a dog! … when I told them no they didn't believe me and followed me to the elevator to check. My baby is not a dog! The night time manager needs to be kinder and friendlier, a little more kindness would make people want to stay here longer. I don't think they read these reviews but I wish they did… All they need is some customer service training it would make this a great hotel to stay at!

Overall very convenient location. Have stayed here numerous times, and any issues were handled quickly. The Denny's here runs like a clock… fast and friendly service. Have ordered from Moxie's and Denny's for room service and have never had an issue. Lots of stores within walking distance. Rooms are adequate.

Location was convenient for my stay, but I feel like the quality did not warrant the price. Very small bathroom, broken iron, and no hot water on a Monday morning.

Horrible experience please do not stay at this hotel! The staff is completely incompetent, everything we tried to do in the hotel there was a problem with. First they said they didn't know we had a dog with us when we came but on my reservation they decided to charge for it. Then they made us move rooms and wouldn't give us any discount for the inconvenience after we had already got all set up in the room four floors up. Then when we got into the room there was no robs, no conditioner, the toilet was plugged, and the room was just overall dusty. We then ordered food to the room and then when they delivered it they said there was no credit card on file. Of course there was a credit card on file and an email stating all charges were to put on the credit card. After calling the front desk they refused to charge the card in till I came down to the desk. Then once I got down to the desk they said oh I'm so sorry we see the email here. Obviously they didn't even look when I was on the phone with them. So then the next morning I go down the the front desk to speak to the manager about it. I tell him everything and he says all he can do is take $10 off and that if I didn't like it so much that maybe I should of stayed at another hotel and why did I pick this one in the first place. I am deeply sadden and unimpressed about how I was treated as a guest. I do not feel welcome in your hotels and will make sure everyone I know hears my story and more using the Internet.

Hotel staff were very rude, they booked me on the 4th Floor which isn't pet friendly, even though I requested a pet friendly room at Central Reservations, and clearly walked in with my dog — so it was their mistake booking me into the 4th Floor. Maintenance staff called me over to the front desk, and treated me like a criminal, even though it was a simple mistake by the Front Desk girl. When I brought the matter up when I was checking out, the man checking me out said that he had talked with the two staff after he checked the camera to make sure I didn't try to sneak my dog in, I mean, I get it people do it when they are treating to avoid paying pet fees or whatever; me, I just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights and I knew the Sandman is Pet Friendly so I booked there. All in all, the staff were rude, the hotel room was stuffy, but at least the room was nice, and the location was great.

Staff is nice, clean, good Location for traffic and shopping. My room come with washing machine and dryer that's very convenient for me to stay over 2 weeks but you've to request when you book the room. Only thing I feel like no good is you've to pay for computer use and printer for flight check in, $2.5 for 1 flight.

Sometimes it was too loud, but other than that it was great.

Hotel is clean, and close to everything you need. You can walk to walmart, superstore, liquor store, and several decent restaurants. The staff were friendly, however the front desk staff didn't really seem to know what was going on. When I'm in a new city, I depend on them to answer questions about the city, and directions to certain establishments. None of them could help. That being said, the beds were comfortable, the a/c worked great and it was clean.
