I came by Head Office prior to the office opening to drop off keys from an overnight stay. Only three stars because I found dropping off the keys on the other side of downtown (relative to where I was staying) was pretty inconvenient.

This is the worst place! No customer service at all. I had a reservation in December and was unable to get to the room because the elevator fob didn't work. No one answered my calls. I never got into the room! And now the manager Lisa James says the fob did work and no refund is possible. How would she know? No one was there when I needed help accessing the room. Never stay here!

DO NOT USE THEM — POOR SERVICE — WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED — save your money! Disgustingly poor customer service, unclean room, uncomfortable bed, a waste of money. The women at the front desk need to revisit their customer service — rude and arrogant, with no care as to whether you can be accommodated. Do not believe the positive reviews on here, it is probably them writing them! Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else.

So I booked an apartment on 6th and 10th, Beltline. A modern and stylish apartment for 5 nights. The address and location was clearly printed. I went to check in at an alternative venue, that was fine. But, then I was booked at a different address by Ostays, the women on the reception assured me it was to the same standard. I went to the apartment, it was an absolute disappointment. Old, dated and small apartment. No washing machines. Not the area I had booked, which would be close to an event I am attending. I called — she already knew, said I’d have to come back — I mean I wasn’t staying in that apartment for the money I’d payed — I’d rather book a hotel. I went back with all my belongings. Waited an hour as the booking disapppeared. She offered me a new apartment, showed me photos! I said I’d only go if she promised me it was the same! It wasn’t of course. The bedroom of the new apartment has no light, lamp not working. I had to also put up with an insesant squeaking noise all night, didn’t sleep. I’m so disappointed in the false advertising and promises.

I had booked a place by Ostays for this coming weekend on Airbnb. I messaged the host through the app a week before to ensure my booking was confirmed and that everything was organized (I do this with all the places I stay). I received a message stating the unit is unavailable for my requested dates and that I had been refunded. I promptly called them to ask if it had been mistake and they told me that there had been an electrical fire in the unit and I am not able to stay there. I understand that things happen but they had not notified me about the event so I couldn't find somewhere else to stay … I can't imagine if I didn't confirm the booking. The lady I spoke with on the phone was pretty helpful fixing the situation even though I did not end up with what I wanted. I originally had a two bedroom suite but they had no more left so she gave me two one bedroom suites that are 15 mins away from each other. I'm glad I have a place to stay this weekend but it would've been better if I had been notified sooner that my place was unavailable.

Booked through a third party site. Didn't get the email detailing that we needed to go to their office to check in at a different site and not the condo. Drove to the condo address given to us by the booking website, which is a residential condo. There was no concierge, no directions if you booked through Ostays, no way to get in. Called Ostays but only got to the voicemail (first call). On their voicemail they had their office address. Drove to the office, could. Not. Find. It. Their front door is nestled between two patio tables. Not joking. Their door had their logo but it was propped open, obscuring their logo. No signs anywhere visible from the sidewalk. Called again and got VM. Left message this time. I eventually had to ask the hostess at the restaurant to find the entrance. After all this, it's been 2 hours later. Complained to the front desk person since manager wasn't around. They were nice enough but blamed third party booking agent. I emailed the manager but she basically said she would check if I got the email. No response yet and was not empathic about the situation. I would not recommend O stays. Did not like their communication or their treatment of my complaints. Oh, the place was nice… Not the company.

Vetro 2 bedroom. Nice room. Clean. Quiet. Bed's were comfortable. Neighbourhood was a bit seedy. Service was mediocre at best. They should stop advertising themselves as a hotel because the service was no where near what even to what a 2-3 star hotel delivers. Based on room alone I would give a 4 star review. Due to the incredibly disappointing service I am giving them a 2 star review. When I booked my room I was led to believe that there would be parking I could book when I checked in. When I checked in I was informed that there was no parking available with the suite I had reserved. When I questioned the young lady at the desk she shrugged and told me to park on the street. When I asked what parking facilities were available nearby she told me she didn't know. When I go to my room there was actually a FAQ card in the room that informed me I could book parking for $25 a night by contacting the registration desk. When I contacted them they told me again that there was not for my suite. I ended up paying to park in a surface lot across the street. While it was affordable, this was not a nice area of town. There is an addiction centre next to the parking lot and I witnessed a few fist fights on the sidewalk in front of it. There is a large homeless community in the immediate area. None of this would have been an issue had I had a parking spot under the building.

What an incredible hotel. Steps away from 17th, but located on a quiet street, this hotel has proven to be the best decision I've made in awhile. Clean and comfortable apartments with hot modern design enable me to enjoy all the comforts of home as a visitor to Calgary. Check-in was smooth and easy, parking is right outside and the building is immaculate. High-pressure showers (hard to find in many places! ) are really important to me, and at no point have I had any issues with hot water, unlike an experience at the Hyatt a few years ago. The building is quiet, the location is central, the staff have been amazing, responding to any concern right away and thoroughly resolving the issue (only issue I encountered was that I was unsure how to use the washer, they explained it quickly and simply and offered to send someone over in case I had further trouble. I didn't. ) Cannot recommend this place strongly enough. You'd be foolish to stay anywhere else. Standing ovation for the the Ovation.

Condition of the room was pretty poor. Glasses were dirty. The AC unit was not working very well. Price was okay. Would not come back — would rather pay a bit extra and goto a proper hotel.

I would give it zero stars if I could. This place was tiny and dirty! Very old trying to be trendy and modern but they have done it in a very shotty/ half-ass way. Looks good in the pictures but not in real life. The beds are Murphy beds — which is like sleeping on a pull-put couch (horrible & tiny) they charge you for absolutely every tiny thing they can! A friend spilt on the floor and we used a towel to clean it up and they charged us $50 for their cheap paper thin towels being "too dirty" plus a $2.50 delivery fee whatever that is! It also took over an hour for us to check in to 2 hotel rooms due to them being soo unorganized! Then our friend went to go into his room and it was full of other people stuff who hadn't checked out yet! my husband called about the extra $50 charge and they fought with him like children on the phone he told them he was going to write a bad review and threatened that they didn't charge him enough and they were going to add ANOTHER $40 charge on his credit card 2 weeks later! I am not a picky person and have never written a bad review in my life! But I haven't never felt so ripped off! Steer very very clear of this place! Do not waste your money! I would rather stay in the back of my SUV!

I highly recommend this hotel. The single queen room I stayed in was very well laid out. The full kitchenette is a rare find and was very nice to have particularly since there is a Safeway directly across the street. The bathroom was a little small and there was no tub, only a tiled shower. That said, at 6' tall I usually have to stoop to was my hair but the nozzle here was high enough I didn't have to. As is typical in Calgary, the water is hard. The kitchenette was well-stocked with pan, pots, plates, cups, glasses, and cooking and eating utensils. Toaster, personal Keurig complete with a few K-cups, built-in coffee machine, range, oven, microwave, this kitchen would be comfortable to use for a prolonged stay. There were a few items in the room that could have used some maintenance but they were all minor. An example is one shelf that was missing a support pin was sitting on the bottom of the cupboard. Another is a hinge for a lifting cabinet door wouldn't stay open. Again, not big issues and items I'd expect to find in any hotel. The location is very convenient and the parking, while off-site, was only a block away and was accessible and roomy enough for a pickup. The service was excellent. They seemed eager to be helpful and were very accommodating of my requests. I plan to stay here again next time work brings me to Calgary.
