Hotel Riverview

We totally enjoyed our stay here. It felt like home away from home because of the friendly staff. Poonam has been really helpful and caring. Dhan always make sure we enjoy our meals. The housekeeping team was really wonderful and efficient. Overall, we felt the warmth of everyone at Riverview Thimphu, and thank you for making our stay a heartwarming and enjoyable one.
The hotel location is great for us as we enjoy the view and the serenity while looking out from our balcony. The sauna and steam rooms were great facility to relax. The spa was great too!

The location coupled with comfort makes it ideal for any traveller. The flowing river and serene sound of the river makes it simply mesmerising. Rooms are spacious with all amenities. The staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful. Must mention Ms. Poonam, who went extra mile to make our stay more comfortable. Overall a great hotel with great food.

A very nice and good hotel. They renovated the whole hotel last year so it looks wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. They made us feel like a vip.
Rooms are spacious and well equiped. Little bench on the balcony with nice pillows. We are more than happy with this hotel. And did I mention the great spa massage treatments? It was heaven!
And the food was delicious and they cooked glutenfree special for us.

Nice hotel with a spectacular city view. Located in the center of city. Room are neat and clean. Rooms are fitted with room heaters. Restaurant serves good food. They have body massage also. You will sure enjoy the sunset view and night view from the balcony. Turn off your lights and light up the candle they provide inside room. And that's your lovely candle night.

Hotel is basic but the view makes up for this. Situated on the other side of Thimphu (an easy 10 min walk from centre), the rooms are large but basic. As I was part of tour the breakfast and main meal were included, both breakfast and dinner were buffet style and were fine. Wifi was not great worked best in lobby. Overall a pleasant stay.

This hotel has been rightly named as riverview. It’s a hotel indeed with a great view. We were on the 3rd floor. The room had a balcony and the view was amazing. It overlooks the Thimphu river, football stadium and a part of the Thimphu city. You can also see the sitting Buddha few miles on a hilltop. The hotel is 10 — 12 mins walking from the Thimphu clock tower even though not on the main city centre the short distance covers up. Food is good but can improve. Breakfast spread is not much but okay.
I hear it’s one of the oldest hotels in Thimphu, but well maintained. Being an old building there are no lifts. The hotel is so nicely positioned that even you are not on the third floor the view from the entire hotel is worth it. A good family and not so expensive hotel in Thimphu. Staffs are also courteous. Me and family really enjoyed the stay and can recommend this hotel anyone coming to visit Thimphu.
