Hotel Riverview

A truely marvellous experience at Riverview Hotel Thimpu. Well apponited, well equiped rooms, good ameneties and the service and staff is AWESOME. The rooms face the river and the view of the entire city was spectacular. The resturant and front office staff was very attentive and definitly deserve an applause. Housekeepimg service and the staff thruout was kind, helpful, and very plesant. The food was great quality and good options for all meals. Spa services offered are also good, Steam + Sauna are well maintained. A total worth while property, purely a memorable experience, will visit again and highly recommend. The manager Ms. Poonam at front office deserves a special mention for excellent hospitality.
Only one thing to keep in mind, being 3 decades old, there isnt an elevator, though the super strong staff members look after the luggage, the stairs need be climbed.

Haven’t stayed at the hotel but I absolutely enjoy the restaurant area with the cozy fire place.
Come here at least 3 times a month to get away from the bustling energy of Thimphu town.
The staff are very warm and welcoming.
I usually feel like a cat on the couch and refuse to leave the cozy environment.

Had an amazing experience and stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the view from the room was breathtaking. The staff were very warm. The food was great. As we were vegetarians, the chef ensured that we had great food.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel River View in Thimphu. The room with the balcony overlooking the city was beautiful and made the stay feel very special. Everything was very clean and well kept.
What stood out most was the kindness of the staff. The reception team made a real effort to help with everything and were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived until the warm goodbye when we left. You could really feel that they care about their guests.
The food was delicious and the restaurant staff were also very friendly and attentive. And the spa deserves a special mention — the massages were truly outstanding.
I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thimphu and would love to come back.

Just wow. This hotel has a calm but classy vibe. You can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome and relaxed. The food from Chef Negi Ji was very delicious and made us feel like we were at home away from home.

We totally enjoyed our stay here. It felt like home away from home because of the friendly staff. Poonam has been really helpful and caring. Dhan always make sure we enjoy our meals. The housekeeping team was really wonderful and efficient. Overall, we felt the warmth of everyone at Riverview Thimphu, and thank you for making our stay a heartwarming and enjoyable one.
The hotel location is great for us as we enjoy the view and the serenity while looking out from our balcony. The sauna and steam rooms were great facility to relax. The spa was great too!

The location coupled with comfort makes it ideal for any traveller. The flowing river and serene sound of the river makes it simply mesmerising. Rooms are spacious with all amenities. The staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful. Must mention Ms. Poonam, who went extra mile to make our stay more comfortable. Overall a great hotel with great food.

A very nice and good hotel. They renovated the whole hotel last year so it looks wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. They made us feel like a vip.
Rooms are spacious and well equiped. Little bench on the balcony with nice pillows. We are more than happy with this hotel. And did I mention the great spa massage treatments? It was heaven!
And the food was delicious and they cooked glutenfree special for us.
