Druk Hotel

Bhutan was truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. The hotel made the experience even more memorable with its warm hospitality, comfortable stay, and stunning view.
A special thank you to Ms. Tenzin, whose warmth and kindness made every meal feel like home. Your care and genuine hospitality added so much comfort to our stay. We look forward to seeing you again You’re definitely one of our favourite people we’ve met on trips.
And To our wonderful guide, Sonam, thank you for sharing the beauty, culture, and spirit of Bhutan with such passion and patience. Your stories and guidance turned a great trip into an unforgettable one.
Both of you made our journey truly special, and we will always remember your kindness with gratitude. I leave with wonderful memories and a grateful heart. Thank you for making this trip so special.

A wonderful stay right in the heart of Thimphu!
Hotel Druk offers the perfect blend of traditional Bhutanese charm and modern comfort. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Clock Tower Square, making it easy to explore shops, cafes, and local attractions on foot.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a cozy ambiance. The staff are warm, courteous, and always ready to help, which truly enhances the overall experience.
The food is also quite enjoyable, with a good mix of Bhutanese and international options. Facilities like the gym and spa add extra comfort for both leisure and business travelers.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and centrally located stay in Thimphu!

I’ve been coming here for a long time. The food is always great, the staff are super friendly, and it’s such a peaceful place—especially when it’s not too crowded.
What made me write this review today was something interesting on their drinks menu: “Trust Me, You Can Dance ~ Alcohol. ” It really caught my eye! I’ve never tried it before, and since I’m not much of a dancer, I guess it’s finally time to give this drink a shot 😄

Hotel Druk is located heart of Thimphu city and it’s very convenient to excess anywhere and very beautifully designed clean. Welcoming staffs and so friendly open minded. Overall I like the hotel as well as excellent service with delicious food. I will highly recommend to everyone to visit and dine in for walking guest too. Thank you.

Amazing Food and hospitality!
The room size is good. Only one can work on the colour combination as the colours are very dark and because of which the size of room n all seems to be smaller.
Utensils used for buffet in breakfast may be replaced with better one.

A traditional old style hotel, with wooden finish, great ink paintings and located at a Perimeter place. Staff are very friendly. It has a small cosy bar with an amazing bartender who has been making cocktails for 30 years! Very reasonably priced.

Service was dreadful. We stayed two nights. Night one we had a turn down service, Night two no turn down service. I could have lived with such inconsistencies however food service was appalling. Dinner on Night One. There was no soup, no naan breads and no replenishment of the buffet, nobody offered us a drinks service from the bar. Breakfast on both mornings at 8am (and considering the breakfast was open from 7am to 10am) was dreadful. No yoghurt, no porridge, hardly any hot foods. On morning two I went to the reception to complain as the buffet was empty and the three staff working on breakfast kept opening the containers, could see they were empty and did nothing about it. After I complained, the chef appeared, checked everything over and reappeared about 10 minutes later with a small quantity of porridge and a small bowl of baked beans. By which time we had to leave. On the second morning my wifes breakfast consisted of a piece of toast (the last piece of bread) and the last scrapings of baked beans). I had two pieces of toast. Truly unacceptable. Having complained I would have at least thought someone from management would have come to talk to me. I can honestly say if I hadn’t paid already for this hotel through our travel company I would have refused to pay or at least expected a huge discount.

The Druk Hotel was conveniently located in the center of Thimpu. We were pleasantly surprised with our room although we shouldn't have been because it was exactly as pictured on the web site. The room was large, well appointed and clean.
We were concerned about noise because we were warned that some people find it loud. We did not! We were in room 125 very near the lobby and staircase and across the street from the stadium, but we had a restful sleep… on a very comfortable mattress!
The best surprise was the breakfast and dinner. So many choices and so delicious! I am vegetarian and there were so many great options for me too.
Don't hesitate to book a room a Druk Hotel.

The Druk Hotel was excellent, including their staff! Our 2 night stay was very cozy and comfortable. The room we had was exceptionally large and did not lack any amenities. The hotel's older architecture (with a blend of some very modern areas) was very pleasing to the eyes. After our day out, we always looked forward to returning to the Druk! The entire staff (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) was very pleasant and ensured all our needs were met. If we return to Thimpu in future, Druk Hotel is the only place we'd stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is lovely and the service friendly. The rooms are very spacious.
Unfortunately it is in a noisy section of the city and we sleep poorly due to surround Karaoke and people yelling /singing after a night of partying.

A lovely hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. More importantly the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The barman was especially so. We stayed half board and the buffet breakfast and supper accommodated both of our tastes. I would whole heartedly recommend it.

An amazing property in the heart of Thimph city and adjacent to the clock tower and located close to the main market. Though looks old with contemporary designs and aesthetics, care has been taken to combine with modern technology. Staffs are courteous and accomodating and eager to serve you on time with grace. The restaurant and bar have wide range of food and wine to choose from and serve most of the popular Indian dishes. Highly recommended for staying here be it a business trip or leisure trip.

We had the most wonderful experience. The cleanliness food and hospitality is beyond. They made my bday so special by decorating my room and a lovely cake. A must go to place when in Thinphu. Don't go for deals but quality. Thank u Druk for the wonderful experience…

A very clean and traditional Bhutanese themed hotel. Very friendly staff and breakfasts were lovely. Very conveniently located in the centre of the city and close to shops. I would definitely stay again if visiting Thimphu.

Our stay was very comfortable. Staff is very coordial. Food was scrumptious. Specifically I want to mention the names of Chef Sangay alongwith his team including Kalpana Rai and Yangzo.

We stayed here during our girls trip to Thimphu and had a wonderful experience. The property is located right in the heart of the city, with plenty of cafes and shops just a short walk away.
The hotel amenities, rooms, and food were all of a great standard — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It’s an ideal place to stay whether you’re traveling with family or friends. Truly the best in every way!

Classic Bhutanese architecture of the hotel building and rooms. Extremely beautiful! It was my first time in Bhutan and did not know what to expect. The staff team was very pleasant. The location is excellent. It is in the center of the town. There are all shorts of shops, restaurants around the hotel. The hotel itself serves good food.
