Ds Inn

Would recommend this hostel. Our room had lifesaving AC and we loved the kitchen. Rafael was really great to talk to, helped us with our tours, and gave us great beta on how to spend our time in San Ignacio.

Stayed in private room, had air conditioning and was clean. Nice staff, Rafael is very very good to talk to when planning your day on how to organize it and fill it efficiently to see the most you can! He is super nice, you want to talk to him when you arrive. Hostel is located conveniently close to down town approx 3min walk. Great experience.

Simple and effective hostel. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely owner who is happy to help you out and answer questions. No hot water while we were there sadly but it’s hot in Belize so good to cool down in shower.

My private room with bath and a/c was located at their sister property around the corner on West St with the shared dorms. The bed was comfy, shower was hot with good water pressure and the a/c worked well. A kitchen was available to cook meals, refrigerator to store food and drinking water was provided. Rafael was friendly and offered some good tips — if visiting Xunantunich, don't miss out on grabbing a bite at Benny's in the village just up the street. He also has connections to tour operators for better pricing if you're looking to book excursions. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet place to stay just a short walk north of downtown San Ignacio.

Overall enjoyed my stay here while in SI. Stayed in a private room. AC was nice, fan too. Clean bathroom and warm water if you like. Kitchen has what you need. Owner is available for assistance/questions. Pretty barebones but everything you need for a long or short stay. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but made do for a couple of nights, and the walls are rather thin but the place was usually pretty quiet. Gym next door does play loud music when they're working out but usually they were done before it got too late, while I was visiting at least. Good location close to central of town, bus stop, restaurants and the park… felt safe, Guest House/office right around the corner for check in or if you need anything. Would recommend or stay here again possibly on my next visit!

My partner and I recently stayed in one of the private rooms at D’s Hostel. It’s a great option for those seeking affordable, basic and well-located accommodations in San Ignacio. Great air conditioner and there is an electric water heater in the bathroom (much loved after our last hotel had no hot water). It is conveniently located near Guava Limb Restaurant and other cool cafés and shops. Only downsides were that the bed had some off-putting stains and was pretty uncomfortable, but we made do. Overall, it was a good experience. We would consider staying again in the future for the price.
