Our experience with Jerry and Nikki at Rock Farm Guest House was beyond wonderful. They were so welcoming and we felt at home from the moment we pulled into the drive. The rooms are incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable and included a large private bath and shower. We slept better here than any other place we have visited so far. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The property is beautiful. There are trails to walk and a beautiful stream you can swim in a short walk from the house. They have beer and soft drinks in the fridge on an honor system. They will even cook for you for a small fee. We sat on the veranda most of our trip and talked with the hosts. Their daughter has a restaurant called Corkers that was delicious. Besides the accommodations, Jerry and Nikki run a bird rescue from their home. The work they do is amazing. They work diligently with the repopulation of the Yellow Head Parrots, but take in all birds. They run a well oiled machine, and it was inspiring to watch. They were patient and kind to me and my family and I will always have a special place in my heart for them. We will be back!

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our stay. It was unexpected and we did not have a reservation, but they accommodated us with open arms. We had genuine and enlightening conversations with the owners and other guests. We learned a out the birds and all the things that happened to them for them to end up Rock Farm. All the animals are being beautifully taken care of and prepared for release back into the wild. The animals too permanently injured but live, are pampered a…nd used as educational tools for visitors and people who intern and work there. We were served breakfast that was freshly cooked in front of us, BY THE OWNER! Rarely do you find such an intimate experience with such good hearted folks. I don't recommend bringing unruly children who don't listen! These rescue animals are not pets, they are wild animals. WILD ANIMALS BITE! And kids find it difficult not to keep their hands to themselves. Bye Bye Fingers! Five stars without hesitation!

The food was absolutely delicious, rooms clean and very spacious. Everyone is so friendly, felt right at home. Excellent place for bird watchers, and don't forget the beautiful refreshing river. They also do amazing work rehabilitating birds.

Beautiful grounds, spacious and clean lodging, and beautiful and wild parrots to watch every morning while enjoying coffee on the verandah or rooftop deck. We stayed here so we could hike and explore the forested areas and waterfalls in the Cayo District, but we could have easily lazed around the grounds as it is very large and there was never an end of things to see and discover — — it even has its own small river where you can go tubing. Also, Nikki was wonderful at giving us tips as to things to do, places to visit in the area as a local insider — — we never felt we were being sold on anything and her advice was solid. My partner, who had only wanted to spend our vacation at the beaches, was also very impressed and was very happy we got to experience this part of the country and at the Belize Bird Rescue — — being a bad sleeper, he wasn't even roused by the 5am "alarm clock" from the neighboring parrots and other birds. We would both strongly recommend staying at Rock Farm and the BBR if you are visiting Belmopan, St Ignacio, or the Cayo District in general.

Me and the parrot were tight. A magical place. The homemade bread/toast was almost the highlight.

Absolutely stay here! This place is really nice and ran be equally really nice people. It is everything you could want for a vacation stay. And while here definitely eat here, they make great meals. The location is great for going out on trips to see ruins, even as far as Tikal in Guatemala or even the other way to go to the zoo. It's one of those places that other places that set the bar for comparison when traveling.

Absolutely charming! Jerry and Nikki are the epitome of genuine kindness. Their passion and love for nature turn into magic that will make you never want to leave! The bedrooms are lovely, spacious, extremely clean and everything there is forged in love. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

Not only are you getting a great place to stay, you're also enjoying wonderful company on an amazing 50-acre bird sanctuary that you're free to explore. We had a wonderful time staying with Jerry and Nikki in their home for 3 nights. Our room was BIG with a king sized bed, AC, fresh drinking water, tea, coffee, towels, soap, shampoo, private bathroom with a shower (with hot and cold temps) and a view of part of the property. Jerry makes a delicious English breakfast (or anything you request. ) They offer a large dinner menu, however, I enjoyed joining in on whatever the hosts, staff, and volunteers were having. I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Belmopan area, look no further! We'll be back next time we come to Belize.

The Rock Farm is by far the best place we stayed in Belize. The hosts are so incredible, not to mention the grounds. They sit on 50 acres of private forest reserve with a small creek. It is also a bird rescue project that is constantly rescuing abused and injured birds so they can rehabilitate and release them back into the wild. If available stay in the Toucan room, it is superb. We came here on our last night in Belize and regret not coming sooner. Plan on staying here longer than you imagine.

Rock Farm Guest House was an amazing find. Nikki and Jerry were so kind, interesting and funny. We were travelling from Orchid Bay to Hopkins and only booked one night but would have liked to stay longer. The Toucan room has a king bed, private balcony with table and view and private bath with shower and large Jacuzzi tub. The best part is the amazing variety of birds and the three dogs. Nikki and Jerry are doing a fabulous service for Belize with the bird sanctuary. Can't wait to stay there again.

I originally booked the Hummingbird Room for two nights then extended for a third — — that says something right there! From the get go both Nikki & Jerry were fabulous: super responsive to my messages; made a pick up (& later drop off) in Belmopan easy; extremely welcoming & wanting to make sure that I had everything I needed; very informative about Belize & the area; they provide great itinerary suggestions in the information notebook in the room… I could go on and on. I had delicious dinners all three nights there as well! I spent lots of time on the large balcony having coffee and enjoying the birds, but also loved wandering the gorgeous grounds and touring the Bird Rescue which is in & around the same building (which is also their home). What they've done in building up the bird rescue program is fascinating & impressive; your stay even helps further that mission. I was worried that having the birds right there might mean that I'd be up earlier in the morning than I might have preferred, and honestly I did use ear plugs which I don't normally do, but I (accidentally! ) slept in later than I have in any other accommodations this trip! Internet was good, coffee/tea/purified water provided, desk in the room made it easy to work when needed (although I preferred the porch, despite — or better said perhaps because of! — — the distractions of Mother Nature, including of course lots of birds! ) … overall a perfect place to stay.
