1) Booked the "suite/room 45" for 2 nights, to be woken up my lawnmowers in front of our room at 07:30 2) At check-in, no info whatsoever with regards to internal arrangements (breakfast, what time, where), nor with regards to local area info ; nothing on the room neither, not even telephone numbers of reception etc… 3) In the evening, in the restaurant, when asked to leave some time between the first and the main dish, this was not taken into account. 10 minutes between first and main dish ; so far for a "relaxed" evening. 4 stars? I don't think so.

Delightful setting and excellent cuisine!

Great food an great atmosfeer, really a fine place with friendly staff.

Superb restaurant in every respect. Handled requests for vegetarian meals made only a day before without a problem.

It was lovely but breakfast was something like €25 each!

Was attending wedding reception. Plenty of drinks, friendly personnel, tasty appetizers…

I'm pretty sure I'm too poor to stay at this hotel normally, but we got a GREAT deal on a room. Then the woman at the front desk was kind enough to upgrade us to a room with a view. It truly was a great view! Staying in different cities while visiting Belgium, it was a nice change of pace staying in the country. The hotel was a mix of old world charm with modern amenities. Nice and quiet and a short drive to Ghent. Truly a great hotel experience.

Nice place for a conference or seminar.

Pretty good brasserie, but I wonder why so much fuss and reputation.

Visited the restaurant, food was excellent. View was good. Felt calming and soothing.

Nice view, good food. It was nice to have the appero outside on the grass. There were a lot of people on the day we visited the restaurant, so the best things disappeared fast from the buffet and they don't refill.

Great terrace for a sunny summer evening. Y Upper level restaurant, however steak was bit overcooked and lobster was nearly cold again. We waited 50min for the starter. Signs of weak organisation in the kitchen. Besides that it could be a great place outside Gent for diner. Only mediocre kitchen overall.

Great location, nice room, good breakfast and great restaurant, but bathroom with door type saloon, not really ideal.

Amazing view on the canal. Room clean and nice. A bit small in the corridor buy worth staying there.

Very nice place to stay. Even though the rooms are not spacious, they are very cosy with a comfortable bed, functional and beautiful bathroom and light that could be dimmed. Staff is always ready to help and provide for all of the guest needs (I even got an early breakfast so I could check out at about 7 in the morning). If you want to go for a walk around Deurle or to the Ooidonk Castle you could get a map from the cheerful ladies at the reception desk. All in all an excellent experience :) I would recommend to everyone.

I enjoyed (my second) stay in 'Auberge le Pecheur', excellent kitchen, good personal service and hospitality. Itsstarts with the reception, always friendly! And when itcomes to the quality of the concierge: Especially Pierre is a very attentive and great host. His team is also fine!
Le Pecheur is good for food but their hotel function and quality is not a 4 star level yet and the price is not value for money yet. The interior of room was not very cosy and the illumination of bathroom and room (ooidonk) can be improved, not the best atmosphere yet, no shaving mirror orindirect cosy lights, but cuisine good and excellent situation. On the river Leye in my favorite country Flandres!

Isn't cheap, unless you visit the brasserie. Almost the same food, but a lot cheaper.

A lovely place to stay, fine food, sophistcated interior and friendly staff makes the restaurant to a special place to stay. The hotel has simple rooms, that could be refreshed a bit, but the charme of this houses is creating a warm athmosphere.

Great place, or should not be missed to stop.
