First impression — friendly and really helpful staff on reception, making sure we knew all the best places to eat and things to see.

Very warm welcome, very clean room, everything necessary is available and a superb view on the 7th floor with elevator phew … 😉
Suggestion: mini fridge available and possibly microwave to heat bottle.

The hotel is in a great location surrounded by greenery in a quiet area and only 10 minutes from the beach. There are lots of opportunities for walking.

Lovely hotel. Great expansive breakfast. Jr suite was nice to stretch out in and wasn’t that expensive. Nifty door which closes the toilet room or the entire bathroom, Small balcony over the garden.

The Hotel is very conveniently situated near the old town.
The bed rooms are clean and well presented as is the Hotel in general.
Staff are very helpful and polite.

Well placed for exploring the great city of Gent. Paid parking available. Reception team were welcoming and prepared to help. Excellent spacious, comfortable and clean rooms.

The hotel has direct access to the canal, which is great for walks, but it's also just a stone's throw away from the old town. The service was excellent, as was the atmosphere – we like it so modern.

The hotel is quite dated and you definitely feel it. Slightly dirty, no air conditioning. Very dog friendly though. Room was comfortable enough but could hear everything outside.

Hotel was great! Room was basic but clean and quiet, beds were very comfortable and room was cleaned and bed linen changed everyday.

Once again we stayed at this beautiful hotel for Xmas period. The hotel staff are always so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and cosy. Spacious shower area.

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful building and furnishings, loved the atmosphere and hosts Jan & Marc were very welcoming, only stayed for 1 night but would loved to have stayed longer.

My husband and I stayed at the Verhaegen at the beginning of December for 4 nights and absolutely loved our stay.

We came here with some trepidation as we’d gone to the Holiday inn expo by mistake and we were familiar with that hotel.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean, but the walls are a bit thin. There’s parking.
Breakfast is okay—nothing special.

Very clean and stylish. Bikes and e-scooter available for hire. Close to station and transport links but quiet and little train noise even in street facing rooms.

I stayed here for 16 days and have a wonderful stay. A boutique hotel, so it had a right balance of personal and professionalism. The breakfast was the highlight of my stay.

The staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was spacious, clean and tidy. The atmosphere was elegant and it is a place I can absolutely recommend to my friends and family.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 4 nights, which allowed us time to explore Ghent and some other Belgian towns.
The hotel is in the heart of Ghent, right next to the river.

The location was fantastic. Right on the canal in the old part of the city.

Great accomodation and location. A late check in and wasn’t ready.
Missing coffee pods and one toilet roll. Easily sorted the next day but a review is a review.

The Hide is a cool place to stay, with large comfortable rooms. It's clean with everything you need. I'd recommend this place for a long or short stay in Ghent.

I traveled for work to De Haan. This hotel is located in a very nice area. It was very calm and peaceful. The room had enough space and I could easy work behind a desk with my laptop.

I was there 2 days in May.
Very friendly Sercice and the breakfast buffet was also very good.
Sauna, swimming pool wonderful. On the terrace you could gudd relax.
Will definitely come back.

We stayed at Hotel Monarc at the end of October 2025 and were impressed by its calm atmosphere, personal service, and prime location just steps from the beach and promenade.

Such a cute hidden gem located minutes away from downtown. Fabian, one of the staff members was welcoming and suggested numerous places to check out for our stay.

The room was nice and big enough.
The bed was ok.
The location is also good with parking space and close to the tram stop.
Only downfall was the toilet flush didn't work properly.

Everything was perfect!

Only stayed for one night, but it was a very pleasant stay and I wish we could have stayed for another night. Very unassuming. The family room was comfortable and spacious.

We had a wonderful stay at Beach Palace Hotel in Blankenberge! Our family room with ocean view was fantastic — spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained.
