Unpleasant welcome, except the gentleman who takes care of the breakfast.
Ultra well placed in Bruges is its only quality. Minimalist room, ultra soft mattress (back pain guaranteed in the morning). Still expensive for the "no service included. " Smells varying from the recently used toilet to the bleach that can be compensated.

Quaint youth hostel where the staff do not speak French. Very simple room, there is noise because of the slamming doors. There is no kitchen available, nor parking as mentioned in the advertisement. Breakfast is simple but good. On the moment surprising place but in the end we had a good stay.

Nice accommodation with the bar on the first floor. Prices match the quality. If you're passing by Bruges, feel free to stop here. 5 minutes to the city Centre and possibility to have a quick snack or a dinner without of walking and seeking for it make this place very suitable.

Perfectly located hostel in the centre of Bruges. Not far from the old Brugger-Burg.

A hostel with all the vibe. The bathrooms were a bit small and uncomfortable. But the rest is very clean and comfortable.

Economical but very noisy, they have a bar with music until 6 and the walls look like paper. I wouldn't repeat it unless it was necessary.

Well located. No need for transportation for visits. All nearby. Shower 24 h. Rooms a little bit small but ok. Rooms needs kind of closet where to put your things. Bar was nice. Enjoy.

Decent price, the beds are clean by cons the bathroom not practical the doors shut badly short we put water everywhere.
The 4euros breakfast has will and really full.

Excellent place to have a beer and watch good live bands.

A really bad service. A brunette woman manager was really rude. She was not welcoming but cold and blunt. The tea cup was dirty and we paid for toilette and for charging the cell. After few polite questions she told us we were annoying. Is this the attitude to run a business? Ps: No soap in the toilette either… Avoid!

Avoid this place. Food is not great and stupidly expensive for what you get. €5 for a plate of nachos without anything and this seemed perfectly acceptable. I very rarely review but felt this was important — much better choices very nearby. Avoid this place.

Worst night in Europe! Do not stay here! When we checked in, they charged a €10 deposit for the key card. At check out the next morning, we only got €5 back. Because we paid in cash, there was no way to prove it, so it would seem check-in guy stole the money. The guy doing check out didn’t really seem to care too much and said we can come back later to ask the other guy why he took extra money… Over all the staff were rude and unhelpful. Even the people drinking in the bar were miserable. The room was tiny with paper thin walls and the only clean thing about the place were the sheets. The private room has communal washrooms and showers which stink, are dirty, and have holes in the doors.

The beds were really comfortable, the services were good. Only the shower wasn't fully working, but still usable. Overall a nice hostel if you just want to sleep there, or have a few drinks and play pool.

Owner super friendly. Nice to have easy access to lockers and center of town. Cons it's kind of a maze. Cons got bitten by bugs badly yes the sheets are clean but the rooms need to be cleaned too.

Well, the rooms stank. You don't have the keys of the bathroom, so anyone can get in while you're taking your shower. You don't have any blinds on the bed, so you don't have any kind of privacy. Plus you also don't have any outlet per bed, so it's hard to charge your stuff. We really didn't like it and left after one night even though we booked 2.

It is one of the best value for money places to stay in Bruges. The bar on the ground floor is very good for cheap beer and games. It is also the only place open till late night. Everything is as you would expect from a hostel — tiny rooms crammed with beds, shared bathrooms that were just clean enough and young crowd. It is 5 mins walk from the Belfry, so a superb location.

I had such a great time playing pool at Charlie Rockets! Awesome pool tables and good beer!

When at first you enter, you get the idea that Charlie Rockets is some really hip hostel with a nice bar below. Unfortunately, that's exactly what it is. As a matter of fact, Charlie Rockets plays club music all night, and makes sleep nearly impossible.

It's a lovely hostel built in a Rock'n Roll style. The Wi-Fi signal does not work well on the bedrooms. But despite that, I'd stay there again.

This place is terrible. The floor I was assigned to smelled terrible. After a few hours of that I asked to be switched and they gave me a different room. Later that night the cleaner came into my room and didn't believe me that I had been switched there, so we had to sort it out with the front desk. Later I told them I needed to leave at 05h30 to catch a train and asked if they would be able to check me out then, and they said yes. The next morning there was nobody in the lobby, and all doors exiting the bedroom hallways are locked from the other side, so I couldn't get out of the hostel. Eventually I found an unlocked fire door and exited that way. It turned out the cleaner was locked outside trying get in, so once I showed him the fire door he went inside and unlocked the front so I could get my 5€ deposit back. All in all the staff here are unorganized and the place is a complete disaster. Spend 4€ more a night and stay somewhere else.

Awful. Noisy, the bartender, who is also the receptionist does not pay attention to you, the rooms are small and cold. Shower strange.

An American-themed biker bar in Bruges? I'm in. Good beer selection, kitschy environment. The bar tender wasn't too interested in doing her job, but she was very friendly when she did. The prices are a little high for the beer… probably the most expensive beer I bought in Bruges.

If you don't expect too much and you're looking for a cheap place to stay it's fine. There was no lock on the bathroom and one of the bunk beds in the dorm next door had collapsed.

Absolutely brilliant location, 2 minute walk from the square and all shops/restaurants/bars etc. The bar at the hostel is lively and sells a good collection of reasonably priced food and drinks and shows sports and plays good music. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak English well. We had a double room on a Saturday night so the only downside was that the hostel accommodation was noisy with people coming in late but we only paid £42 a night and the noise was only from the other guests. Bed was comfy, room and furniture/facilities a bit dated but all very clean. Free Wi-Fi in the bar which reached our room so no complaints. Would stay there again for sure.

The youth hostel is located in the Centre and you can reach all attractions on foot. We also recommend all to join the free walking tour!

There's a good atmosphere, specially in the bar downstairs, in which the entrance to the hostel is. It could be cleaner, but still it's a great spot to stay.

Worst hostel ever. I was bited by bugs on bed. The bathroom and toilet were dirty like a hell. The loud club music downstairs did not stop until 1or 2am. If you have any other choice in this town. I urge you, do not take this one!

Very nice atmosphere, especially at the bar down stairs. Rooms are nice and relatively clean, but the furniture is old and slightly damaged. Recommend only for young people.

Ok, this is a youth hostel so you won't expect a palace, but it is normal to ask for the minimum of confort as this place is not that cheap. Charlie Rocket is veeery noisy : don't expect to sleep : a lot of student are partying in the corridors and there is a pub downstairs. It is also very dirty : I went there for 2 days : an insect was crashed in the bathroom for all my stay. I deducted that it had not been cleaned. The only good points are location and breakfast.
