Fantastic quirky hotel very close to market.

Room was small (as expected so no big deal). The receptionist was very nice and the breakfast was decent. The thing that mostly bothered me was the bed. There was absolutely 0 support when lying on it, also the drain of the shower was blocked which resulted in a flooded bathroom. The carpets are old and also the wallpapers could use a renewal. The location however is perfect, very central.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Pay extra for a decent hotel. The room was dirty and smelled. As soon as I opened the bathroom door the smell of sewage was so strong! The bathtub paint was peeling. Half of the lights didn't work in the room. Save yourself from this nightmare and book elsewhere.

Very nice hotel conveniently close to the train station; just a short walk to downtown and across the pedestrian bridge. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was nice.

Perfect location and very big size room. However, quality of mattress and overall finishing of the room doesn’t match with the relative high price we paid. And our room was situated right above a pub with a terrace so it was impossible to sleep before 1am…

We booked this hotel for the next day and it was the cheapest on the list, one expected a rudimentary hotel. We can say that we were surprised, hotel in the city center, large room, large bathroom, kettle with tea and coffee. The receptionists speak French and we gave advice on the city… We recommend!

It's all good. Location-just super, next to Belfort. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very centrally located Hotel (behind the Belfort Tower), with adequate staff attention and good breakfast for its category, but it is old-fashioned inside, with very antique look, unpainted bathtubs, low pressure water, uncomfortable bed and pillows even worse. To top it off, it has a pub just below it since Thursday and during the weekend, it is quite crowded until late in the morning and does not allow for rest. Ah, the air conditioner didn't work when we were there with about 30 °, so you have to leave the window open and stand the noise.

The location of the hotel is right in the centre which is great. Breakfast was very nice as well. However, walls were very thin and we couldn't sleep because of noisy guests. The mattress on the beds was also uncomfortable. Frankly overpriced for the overall experience.

Very friendly home. In French small room under the roofs, carpet worn but own kettle, teas, coffees available in the room. Shower products. Hairdryer. TV with 3 French channels. Wi-Fi in all the hotel a good value for money, €64 with tourist tax for one night with small deheuner 2 persons. Rich breakfast, smoked salmon cheese delis All kinds of croissant breads cereals fruits etc. Rarely seen in a hotel of this price Restaurants and bar nearby I recommend.

A small hotel located in an unbeatable central location directly "under" The Belfry. Around the corner actually in the same building, lies the Great Backyard Pub "@thePub". The hotel has a very good restaurant attached. DS Breakfast in buffet form was good and extensive. The rooms were more simple but very clean and well maintained. Of course, free Wi-Fi was also available throughout the house. Oh yes and even travelers with a dog are welcome here and happy guests!

Good value basic hotel in the centre of Brugge. Have used it for 26 years now and always found staff and owner friendly and helpful. Getting a bit tired decor way, but always clean and comfortable.

Hotel dilapidated, not at all to the standard of safety. Smell of musty in the room. Curtain falling and not replaced. Really needs to be renovated. The correct breakfast, good tourist location. For the price spent, this is unacceptable.

Not a bad place to stay. Very central and affordable. 15 minute walk from main train station. Room nice but bed a bit too soft for my liking. Don't recommend getting the breakfast.

Located in the centre, perfect spot. Car parking only 3 minutes walking for €8, 60 (per 24 hours). We had the junior suite which was big, comfy beds, clean, big bathroom, all the necessary stuff. Breakfast was just incredible! Very cozy wine cellar like space. Would recommend this anytime.

It's in a very good location, but can be very busy near New Year, like when I went. The breakfast was very decent, and was in a very historical building, if you want a peaceful hotel, this isn't the place for you, but if you don't mind a busy place/active place, come here to stay. It's a great hotel. In the heart of the main square, the rooms are small but comfortable and quiet. There is a rental of greats. Breakfast will not leave hungry. The price is affordable. The front desk staff are very responsive.

Great location but a bit grim inside.

The place is run down (family room 323). Toilet with no wash basin. Had to wash hands in ensuite bathroom in next bedroom. Toilet dirty with very wobbly knob to pull for flushing. Pulled out a drawer and everything came apart. Bathroom in same run down condition. In total not a very appealing room. However, breakfast was value for money. Coffee, tea, milk, juice, water, boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, different cereals, good selection of bread, croissants etc. All this for €5 pp. In addition breakfast was served in the basement which was quite lovely room. Finally, the location could not be better. Just round the corner from Groot Markt. We prebooked car park in Predikenherenrei. 10 mins from hotel.

It's a hotel right on the corner of the Belfort Belfry. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On the page where I booked it it was three stars being really two (but this is the fault of the hotels page). The only downside is the dirt, the sheets looked pretty dirty and the sink smelled a tad bad. But for everything else perfect.

The highlights of the hotel are definitely the price, lower than the average of Bruges, and the location, is basically in the central square. Too bad for everything else, the rooms are very small, the mattress of the bed very dated (after the first night I asked for a change of room which they granted but the situation did not improve much). Breakfast not very rich (around 9:00 am start to finish things and no refill is done). Some cobwebs in the hallways.

The location was very good and the room was very small and the bathroom was very nice. "Antique" air conditioners. Breakfast in "Fortuna" (First day: croissants, toast, salmon, salami, juices, crab meat salad, second day: croissants toast, salami, juices).

We say that the location is really good but the price you pay is not proportionate.

The location is great because it is very close to the central square. The hotel is a bit dated and require of a restoration. The beds are a little bit gone and the rooms very small. Good breakfast with jams, salami and cheese and various fruit juices.

The room is a bit small as well as the bathroom, tight spaces and not perfectly clean.
In the breakfast are missing the sweets like cakes or croissants and the cappuccino is not really the best.
Wifi instead very fast and TV in the room.
Our room had no safe while the beds are very comfy as well as the pillows.
Cleaning the sheets good.

A two star hotel that provided the perfect base for our visit. Location could not be better, it's a few steps from the market square, so fantastic value for money. The room was a good size, clean and perfectly comfortable. Bed was not great, one of the two mattresses in our double was like a small hill — high in the middle and sloping away to the gap or the edge. It's been mentioned in most of the reviews, so they really should fix it. Otherwise it was good, so would use again if they promise bed is better.

Do not stay here! Very grimey needs a lot of tlc! Asked to get s taxi and was advised not to book it and then when we went back to get one when they said it arrived very late and we missed our train! When complained was Very in helpful we have not had a pleasant experience in this hotel. Unorganised and mess with miserable staff! Just rang the hotel and the customer service was very poor!

Great location, excellent service and quality of good facilities (although you can improve)

Very well placed hotel. In our case, room for five with a baby. A cot was provided for us. However the decoration dates, the soundproofing is too low (one is in the immediate vicinity of the Belfry) and the breakfast lacks freshness. So recommend for short stays with a late bedtime.

Amazing location, we had the large the person room that was more than adequate for three adults. If you want to see all of Bruges and have a budget, you couldn't do any better than this place for the money. Breakfast was a good selection of continental fare. The decor is a little dated but for the price, location and breakfast I have to give it five stars.

The ratio price/quality is a great option, especially for a company of 5 people staying for the day before the trip. Especially pleasant was the bar, running after closing all around.

Awful place. The room was very dirty. It was a pigsty really. Also it was pricey and they charged me the full amount of the stay beforehand, contrary to what they said on Booking. Got a refund and left earlier. Running a hotel like this is just having a laugh at the customer's expense. I would not stay in this joint for free. Horrible, disgusting, dreadful. Avoid at all costs.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in the summer 2013. I can say that in order to judge this structure, it is necessary to consider several aspects. The location is fantastic as the hotel is located in a historic building in the heart of Bruges, practically in Marktplein, one of the most characteristic and beautiful places in the city, for this definitely deserves 5 stars. The price per night I paid including the breakfast was 110 euros for a double room, better in town hardly can be found. The breakfast is plentiful and rich, the staff courteous and professional. Unfortunately the sore note is represented by the rooms worthy more than a hostel of Vasso level and S dir poco old. In that assignable then shower and toilet (from where it was an unbearable smell) were oddly located in two separate rooms. Peeking other rooms I did not find better situations, definitely the happy location still makes it a coveted place. A bicycle rental service is available.

The location is excellent, a little enredoso Hotel, the Restaurant's breakfast is difficult to access, but the room with kitchenette seemed normal, good hotel to sleep and rest well and perfect to walk from there to the most beautiful Bruges.

I was a few years ago during the celebrations in August there and have around 150 € per night for a single room paid. It was a rip-off? Because I read here only 65 or 80 €. Now, it is very centrally located to the market, Breakfast was very good staff but very curt. Room was not so great, hot water was only lukewarm.

Have paid 80 euros for a night, the best part of the stay at this hotel was the breakfast. The carpet in the room was not absolutely appealing, in addition, it has a thick dead spider located on the edge. That tells me that nobody before has gone through the rooms to see if still everything is alright (missing pillows on the bed). The walls were partly equipped with small blood stains (presumably slain mosquitoes). The bathroom facilities were not absolutely inviting to me. The location of the hotel is super again, however, this is by a pub in the backyard sleep very difficult.
In comparison to the room, the breakfast was super.
So by and large must I sadly say for 80 euros the night a complete disappointment.

We are staying in the Studio for 4, the kitchen must be renewed completely since the half broken refrigerator this power button, furniture and kitchen are old as well as the carpet. The surface comfortable beds, bathroom needs arrangement. It highlights the good reception and excellent location.

We arrived there the day of the reservation and we were told that we had no room.
There were overbooking.
It seemed to us that it was a common practice of the. Hotel; on the one hand to ensure the. Full and on the other to refer to other hotels clientele.

You get what you pay for. €65 for for a double room per night with Wi-Fi and a basic, but decent, buffet breakfast. Its an old hotel, lots of things about it aren't great. But look at its location.

My opinions on the hotel, really comfortable bed, fantastic location on the Hallestraat. The breakfast was enjoyable too, not bad for €65, plus you can leave your luggage in an adjoining luggage store whilst you look around the culture that Brugge has to offer. Only two minor negative points — there is no Wi-Fi in the room — you had to connect when you were in reception. Plus the shaver socket in the bathroom was none existent, but these were only minor things in my view.

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent position for exploring although loss of a star as room was a teeeeeeny bit rough around the edges but for the price I paid I wasn't expecting the Ritz. Overall very good and would happily stay again as the plus points far outweighed a missing tile or two.

We feel we have been ripped off! we paid 350euro for a room for 3 nights that can only be described as 'hostel' standard, the bed was so old that you could feel the springs and under the admitedly clean sheet, was a matress topper stained in blood, urine and god knows what else. the bath and toilet were filthy and the facilities were old and worn. And this was a room we upgraded to after we complained about the 'broom closet' we were originally given in the annex. the room rate for our room said on the door 150 euro and on top of that was a warning that if you failed to wash your coffee cups up, there would be a 15 euro charge. The carpet was dirty and when we checked out we were not even asked if our stay had been pleasant. absolutely shocking hotel. great location but would not recommend to anyone expecting a 1star let alone a 3 star. we have been miss sold this holiday as our room was not one of the ones in the pics on the website.

Good: location, brasserie open late, clean, good breakfast. Bad: double bed was too single beds pulled together, even after we asked for a real double bed. The room was ok but nothing great considering the price. Information at front desk confusing in general.
