Nice boutique hotel in central Brussels, one of The Design Hotels collection. Set in what used to be a monastery of the Dominican order, the hotel has a great design and large, tastefully decorated rooms. Breakfast is limited at the moment due to the kitchen being closed because of the pandemic but there are plenty of takeaway options in the area.

The Dominican Brussels is a beautiful Design Hotel. Was a dominican convent before. The Rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom very nice. The Reception Staff amazing. Breakfast room based in a nice area like in a big summer veranda. I had an amazing experience and will be back very soon.

Quite a lovely hotel. Rooms are great, location perfect. But never mind that: Walking down barely lit corridors with ornate paintings and fancy mirrors reminds me of The Hyperion. As in Angel Investigations. Fantastic.

My husband and I stayed at The Dominican for one night in Brussels. We were so impressed with this hotel. It's in a beautiful location, 2 minutes walk to the Grand Place, it is clean and very comfortable. The bar in the lobby is so pretty, and the bartender Matias makes some of the most wonderful drinks. Loved this hotel! Definitely would recommend it!

Good rooms, Attractive bar. The only "really problem" is that the creppy religious-like song that plays on the elevator. And when that is the only problem… There are no problems at all. Been there several times for work trips and could iron a little bit my shirts without having to phone anyone.

Splendid location. Not just where it is located (absolute center of the city) but also the inside with their "outside garden" on the inside… Food was refined and portions generous. Only negative point is the lack of any Dutch language willingness by all personel. French or English ONLY and that for the capital of Belgium and at that this price level.

Loved our stay at the Dominican. Elegant interiors and magnificent bar. We stayed in one of their lofts with an amazing view. Bathroom was relatively big and well designed. Location is fantastic. Walking distance from the city center, malls; and also accessible to buses and cabs. Staff was super friendly as well. We will definitely stay at Dominican again when we visit Brussels in future.

Great setting, very quiet and Zen, the passage to the toilet is worthwhile for background music.

Very comfortable. For a city-centre hotel, overlooks pedestrian area, and rear side of Opera house so quiet at night with very little traffic noise. Not a huge selection at breakfast, but ok and some hot choices, and you can ask to have specific dishes made. Well appointed rooms. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel, original and having a very pleasant inner courtyard. The breakfast is famous, and the location is ideal, right in front of the currency (for the anecdote, I even heard singers repeat in the morning).
Big flat, and it's really a pity: the hotel is very poorly soundproof. You can hear the neighbor taking a shower as if we were in the same room…

Outstanding restaurant and bar. Perfect service, excellent menu and good wines. Superb cocktails at the bar. The garden is an oasis of peace.

Aa everyone mentioned, great location! Easy walking distance to many attractions and hyped restaurant. The bed and pillow (be mindful there are two pillows, one is extremely soft and the other is a lot firmer) was very comfortable, I sunk into bed and fell right asleep every night. However, housekeeping did not refill our amenities at all. I am on my third night and still using the same bottles of shampoo, conditioners, and shower gel. Also, not sure if its just our room, but the shower is awful. Temperature is totally unstable, one second it can be freezing cold and the next will be scorching hot. Plus… the water doesn't drain quick enough so we are constantly standing in a puddle of our bathwater. Pros and cons!

Super nice ambiance, staff, decor and rooms. The bathrooms were clean and well designed — there were also bath salts provided! The bar/restaurant also has great food, wine and cocktails. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Very good atmosphere, but not enough staff to serve everyone. A lot of waiting. And unfortunately, not the possibility to order what is on the map, like the champagne rosé

Beautiful hotel. I've never slept so well in a hotel bed. Located close to the Galerie Royale St Hubert and several excellent cafes. Their elevator music is plainsong chant.

THE DOMINICAN is one of my favorite hotel in Europe! I wish to come many times again to Brussels and stay at the Dominican! Service, location and interior of the hotel are excellent. It's rally a DESIGN hotel!

Very nice place to eat or have a drink, with a warm, comfortable and even luxurious ambience. The service is also very professional. However the meal was a little disappointing for the price paid.

The bar is very warm. Service a little slow but nice place.

Very good hotel, for having had rooms on the street and on short inside, on the street it is a little more reasoning. The food and breakfast are a treat. I think this year the chef has had to be changed, more fluffy pancakes (a little dry) or extra soft brioche, and crème brulee too liquid. If not personal to the small care, discreet and top.

Classy boutique hotel, one of the hidden gems of Brussels. Friendly and easy-going atmosphere, good service, rooms are of good size and breakfast has everything you need to start your day.

The place is perfect for relaxing and having a nice time. Great choice of cocktails and high quality alcohol. The service on the other hand is not up to the task. Shame.

The location of the hotel was fantastic but apart from that it was very hard to find many positive things. The corridors in the hotel had an awful smell that was constantly there throughout our stay. The pillows in the room were so soft that it felt like you were sleeping on the mattress directly. The bathroom waste basket was embedded in the sink, seriously who puts a waste basket in the sink! There is also no Porter service for the hotel which seemed strange when you compare the price of the place to others. The only positive was that the location is ideally placed for most of the main attractions.

Great location, close to the Grand Place, cathedral, and metro line. Rooms are cozy by American standards — note if you are American, you may be surprised that a king bed is two beds put together.

Overall the stay was pretty good. The bed was lovely, a huge bathtub (with salts! ), and the restaurant was tasty. But the front desk people were not that friendly which is unlike my other stays in Belgium.

I like the hotel when we enter, and I loved when when I get in rooms. The hotel has a good location and very nice design. I really feel at home, maybe because of colors and ambiance. The only thing for me room can be warmer but stuff is so nice, breakfast is good.

Great location, clean and good looking hotel. Great rooms but the food and breakfast was not up to standard. The warm breakfast was, actually, cold. Coffee was not ok. Service was very good, but poor service in the dining area. Would come back if the food improves.

It was love at first sight. A glass door opens up to two fireplaces and you can either access the hotel from the right side and head straight to the restaurant or the left side to reach the hotel's reception. Recommended on the Net, the Dominican has a restaurant lounge down on the ground floor.

The porter very smiling and polite. He spoke impeccable French, which did not seem to be the case of the receptionists.
Luxurious rooms spacious and well equipped but not bathed in natural light. Several reproaches all the same. Carpets, bedding, bathtub and stained joints. Not a real double bed so gets hollow in the middle.
Breakfast was very good and the eggs and bacon were cold. I have known other 4 stars or even 3 stars less prestigious and less expensive but having given me more satisfactions.

Non-professional staff, unpleasant room manager order 4 drinks waiting 20 minutes, mojito too alcoholic the boy picks up our glasses adds sugar and gives us the same glasses and there, drink too sweet, for a level establishment it is Inadmissible.

We've been a few times now but this time it was not up to the usual high standard.
When we arrived there was a made up cot in the room and the coffee machine leaked.
The cot was removed but they returned the same coffee machine (how do I know? ) because there was still the pod in it that I put in.
We had a meal in the hotel on the last night and the waiters were very attentive … to everyone but us! I got impatient and left without ordering dessert and left my husband trying to attract the bill.
We were planning another trip but not sure now.

Great hotel although the decor is a little dated and clearly hasn't changed much since I last visited 9 years ago. It's in a fabulous central location, convenient for the Grand Place and shopping. Breakfast, if not included in your room rate, is fairly expensive. One of the staff assisting at Breakfast (an older gentleman with glasses) was quite surly and made a point of stating that the breakfast service ends at 11.00 sharp (no exceptions)! This didn't make for the relaxing dining experience I had hoped for. Everyone else I encountered at the hotel was wonderfully friendly and courteous, including those serving in the bar and the front of house team. A couple of minor criticisms cost the Dominican a star, so it's a 4 from me.

Very nice quality hotel. Bedrooms are a good size and the beds are super comfortable. Central location only a 5 minute walk to central Square and the train station.

Beautifully designed Hotel and great location but staff weren't overly helpful or welcoming. Rooms are not huge but you would not expect that of a city centre hotel in a period building. Overall not bad.

Maximum stars for this hotel! 5 min walk from train station, convenient to Grand Place and all of central Brussels! The staff was incredibly nice, the room was beautiful and the common areas like the bar and lobby were outstanding. And, the hotel was immaculate throughout. I highly recommend.

This is a wonderful hotel very close to the Grand Place with plenty to see, do, and great places to eat at all around and within walking distance. The staff here was also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent and beautiful hotel with a professional and friendly staff in place for a few years now. The hotel's geographical location makes it as ideal for work as for tourism. A negative is the price of breakfast which is not up to what is offered.

This is a really nice hotel close to some tourist attractions. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was very nice and clean. The hotel restaurant was nice and the food was good. They have a little courtyard where I was able to smoke my cigar and listen to the music that the DJ was playing on a Friday night. I will stay here again if I ever make it back to Brussels.

It is 7 minutes walking distance from Brussels Central Station. Very relaxing atmosphere and clean. The receptionists are very professional and kind. Room and bathroom were comfortable and with enough space to stay in not only for sleeping. Well maintained hotel with nice lounge and many amenities. The small gym is composed of treadmills, cyclettes, boxing gloves and punching ball and bag; there are also sauna and hamman rooms for two or three people; however I did not have so much time to use them every day. Very recommended place to stay more days.

Beautiful boutique hotel and very quiet very close to the Grand Place. Great dining area and the rooma are super functional. Staff is very friendly.

Failed to open the room with the magnetic badge after the spa, towel in the hallway. The large entrance hall, open and beautiful seemed immediately less pleasant, towel and exposed to public view. After waiting 10 minutes, the hostess at the front desk made us another badge. No compensation nor even a word of apology.
For the rest, the hotel is OK.

Gorgeous hotel and splendid rooms. The personel is very friendly and professional. The rooms are equipped with nespresso machines and complimentary pods replenished everyday. I enjoyed a special discount on week-end otherwise I couldn't afford such luxury :) The hotel is also close to everything.

Beautiful hotel, great location and attentive, professional, friendly staff. The morning breakfast buffet has everything you desire and is very well done/presented.

Their burger is great and they have a fairly decent breakfast to help you shake off that hangover from all those amazing Belgian beers.

What a crazy place. Our room was gorgeous. The staff was brilliant (they speak English, French, and probably German and Dutch, all better than you do). The bartender pulled off a terrific Negroni and breakfast was great. So too bad about housekeeping vacuuming the halls at 7:30 am, the incredibly noisy soil pipes and no sound proofing between rooms. Loved the place, but definitely quirky.

Just stayed there for five nights on business. Helpful staff, big foyer/lobby area, good bar, great buffet breakfast and luxurious rooms. As others have said, the mattresses, pillows and duvets are the best! Great location, too: only a few minutes walk to the Grand Place and Central Station, but in a quiet street away from the tourists. About five minutes' walk from de Brouckere metro station, which is only a few stops from the Eurostar terminus at Gare du Midi. Strongly recommended.
