Some amazing scenery with good historical buildings. Busy area which is very popular with tourists. Would suggest a slow meander around the neighborhood as there are a few little shops that are truly gems to be located here. Don't buy at the first shop as they will probably be more expensive closer to this location.

A beautiful, truly fascinating square. Buildings of different architectural styles, but the eye does not cut. The carpet of flowers also contributed. Which is great. That's great.

One of the best squares ever seen! It's a big, beautiful and ancient square. It's amazing to come here and admire the beautiful buildings on all its sides. During the evenings the lights make this place even more beautiful. It's really nice to come here in the evening to just sit in the middle of it to admire this beautiful place or even to eat something.

It was very noisy, at this time there was a zumba festival, in the cafe it was impossible to relax and hear the interlocutor. Cafes have to wait a long time, the waiters are not painfully friendly, the order for a long time could not do, the tables are dirty, something and did not bring, from what asked. But the toilets are clean and free.

Very lively place with plenty of stores to choose from. :) there are a lot of good deals on Belgian chocolates that comes in packages. Authentic Belgian waffles at 1€ is good. Plenty of trinkets and souvenirs to buy from. The Mannequin pis is also just within the vicinity. Places for dinner or a complete meal can be quite difficult to navigate because of the crowd. Also, helpful to keep in mind the shops’ operating hours too. Overall, it was a vibrant stroll in the streets. Definitely a sight to experience for any tourists.

It's very crowded here. So if you want cool photos — come here to 8 AM. The architecture is very beautiful, it needs to be seen with your eyes. The camera does not convey 30% of all beauty. Beautiful palace. Not really sure it's purpose but many people like to sit in the square and drink at night. As well and just hang around and take pictures of all the buildings. I could only go inside the tourist Info center and the surround shops like the chocolate shops. But they were pretty good! And this place has wonderful food.

If you're visiting Brussels, you'll undoubtedly wind up here anyway. Best visit it by night. Be sure to avoid driving here as finding a parking spot is difficult. Don't settle for the restaurants or pubs immediately adjacent to the square, try instead to explore a bit around a you'll find better ones. Plenty of souvenirs, beer/liquor and chocolate shops.

I don't know if Victor Hugo was right when he described Grand Place as the most beautiful square in the world (I come from Rome…), but I surely love it. Beautiful with the sunlight, amazing at night, with that luxurious shine and majesty. During Christmas time it is just magic, I suggest going there around 7/8 PM, when you can see a show of coloured lights changing at the same time with the music. It is hard to describe, definitely worth a visit in December to see what I mean :)

With all my love for Brussels (the abundance of beggars scares, a lot of rubbish, eternal repairs everywhere), but this area always makes the heart-stopping. They came there at 8 in the morning and enjoyed the fully alone (the writing boy also had no one there, he is not far)

It's wonderful when you enter it into a different time. It is totally pedestrian and is always crowded, in good time sitting on the floor, chatting, drinking beer or even leaning a nap. Very nice and priced there are reasonable places nearby. The small butter, as well as the big butter Street are also not far. There you should beware of the Pâtisserie chains. These are quite expensive and the performance is more at industry level. But there are many small bakeries that conjure up delicacies!

One of my favourite places in Brussels, in the morning for some coffee in the sun and in the evening for some exquisite Belgian beer (either in the restaurant or at the curb). On warm Friday nights the place is crowded with locals having some drinks, what produces very nice, organic feeling.

All around there are many (overpriced) cafes and restaurants as well as chocolate shops. In the adjacent pedestrian areas you can buy delicious Belgian waffles and French fries.

We were here for the Bridge of the immaculate, the weather was Clement and allowed us to visit Grand Place in its splendor, decked out for the festive season you breathe really festive air, the imposing Christmas tree in the center of the square and the magic you access Evening with the games of music and colors, is an experience to be done especially during the Christmas period. A very nice Christmas market to see absolutely and also not to miss the illuminations on the facades.
The shops are very expensive, the chocolate factories are like jewellery. Some shops do a little task in the decor with the tourist junk but past this detail, it is very nice to stroll in the center and its atypical streets that make the charm of the capital.

The grand place is in essence everything that is Belgium and Brussels. It’s architecture is beautiful and grand. It’s gilded exteriors but equally as enticing interiors are a token to the beauty of the heart of the city. I highly recommend anyone making a visit to Brussels to take a moment to enjoy and relax within the centre of this historic marketplace. You may find at night that the place itself lights up with it’s tall tower becoming a light show itself. Whilst beautiful during the day, I find the place to be the best at night.

We were in Belgium for the first time and the Grote Markt surprised us. The buildings are wonderful to look at, decorated with gold, just great. Unfortunately also so well visited that one hardly comes to take good pictures. Pity we did not see the large flower bed in the market place, because it was decisive for our visit. Maybe next year.

I really love this place. It is beautiful. Amazing view. When I went there in December, the lights were turned off and I started to hear Christmas songs. And the buildings were illuminated with blue red green lights to the rhythm of music. Fantastic atmosphere!

Very nice square with everything you need as a tourist. There are many shops with very good chocolate and sweets and also one shopping centre with cheap things. There is no problem with finding a toilet it has a really big add in front of that and its really nice and clear (costs 0.5e) It is very easy to get lost in the small streets nearby but I think you can always find something interesting.

As much the place is beautiful and as a Brussels I take away some pride when I know its popularity, both the excessive prices and the politeness of the people make that I do not go there practically more. I love this place. It is beautiful especially when the sun is reflected on the gilding. There are always people, but it's nice. In the evenings people sit on the cobblestones to drink a beer in small groups next to the more posh people who are on the terrace. All in a warm atmosphere.

I booked an appartement here for my boyfriends birthday! We were Both suprised by how beautiful the room was! We really loved and enjoyed our stay at B apart hotel! Very easy check in! The location is also perfect! I would definetly stay here again if I visit brussel again!

Go late at night to marvel at the buildings. Always plenty of people around — and police. They do not seem to mind you bring your own drink (don't exagerate)

This facility offered lovely, modern accomodations that were spacious even by American standards. It was good value for the money. However, do not be misled by the word "hotel" in the name. Basic hotel services are not avaiialble. There is no concierge. There is no front desk staff on the weekends, and they are only present on a very limited basis during the week, I had to call my assistant in California to ask her to give me a wake up call in Brussels! The front desk person knew nothing about shipping via FED EX, DHL or UPS, nor did she know where I could purchase packing suplies like bubble wrap and tape. I discovered on my own that these supplies were readily available at the Post Office. A good place to stay, but be prepared to be totally self-sufficient.
