The apartment itself appears to be on a rather quiet residential street, and I was quite surprised that the check in time was so late (1500). Upon arriving half an hour early we called to see if the guy was around and if so if the room was ready and his greeting was a little on the frosty side, I must say. Thankfully, having trudged around Brussels with all our luggage for several hours we were allowed in (I suspect we could have entered many hours earlier) The apartment itself is quite nice, the bed comfortable and the Wi-Fi ok (even though there was some kind of internet blackout on the Friday night) It was very clean so kudos on that front, although there was an odd musty smell in the fridge. The bathroom could also do with renovating as it was a little old fashioned and dingy. Appreciate there is little to do with a room that has no window, but maybe nicer lighting and a new paint job would not go amiss. The entrance is a bit odd, and not fun at all if you are staying near the top and having to lug your cases up all the stairs, which are quite narrow. Proximity to town is pretty good, about 10 mins walking time, and the same to the station. All in all, not a bad stay but would probably not stay again if I were to return to Brussels.
