Nice place. Subway is very close.

It's a great location. There are 272 buses from the airport directly to the hotel. Near the subway, the northern station. Historic center 10 minutes in a leisurely step. Located on a quiet street. The rooms need to be repaired. But at the same time the room is clean, cleaned every day. In value, price — quality is a great option.

A nice hotel located nearby a shoppingcentre, supermarket and the public transport. The breakfast was good. We did stay in a hotelroom for 2 persons. The room was very small but clean and big enough if you spent less time in the room. We stay at warm days at the hotel it was too warm in the room without aircoditioning to sleep. We put the windows open but it didn't make sense.

Good location with impressive history. Cleanness is not outstanding.

The check in went very fast and the staff was generally friendly. Our room was small, but that is to be expected for the price we paid for it. The room on the other hand was not that clean. We found hairs in quite some places like the bed and the bathroom. On top of that, the toilet was just not clean. The room got very hot in the night, which was due to the absence of any sort of ventilation or air-condition system. The bathroom was big enough, but the shower was broken, which ment we had to hold the shower head. This made for a rather uncomfortable showering experience. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood And very close to the metro station.

The location is great and the staff is nice but the room are so terrible! So old, not well maintained, the bathroom is smelly and old, the toilet are not flashing welland no aircoair-conditi! The window cant stay open because of the noise from the street. Not recommend!

Boring, the bed is not comfortable!

It took ages to check in and the room doesn't look like what was shown on booking website. I booked a family room which suppose to have three properly beds proper room for 3 people, it came out to be a 2-people size room with one extra bed. And the staff didn't tell that we could choose the room with bathtub or shower. This hotel is totally unprofessional. The only good thing is very close to the tram and shopping area.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The hotel was clean. Towels are changed on a daily basis. The location is perfect for tourism. However the shower and the bathroom were uncomfortable. In order to reach the shower you have to climb a step and only then close the bathroom door because otherwise you are in the way of the door and blocking it. The hot water pressure is weak and therefore difficult to shower. Even though we complained twice about that nothing was done. The toilet was on the opposite wall across the room which is probably due to the age of the building, maybe it was added on a later stage.

Great location Right in the middle. Good prices. Very friendly staff Nice conference rooms. Just the rooms that require upgrading. Wifi not top except downstairs.

Very close to all touristic atractions and few meters from Rogier tube station. Shopping mall and restaurants. Nice staff clean rooms.

The hotel is old and worn out. The main advantage-proximity to the center. The room was very big and the shower was very well equipped.

The worse hotel I have ever stay. I should have came 100 years earlier on it glory day. It was dated, very dated. No power point in room, have to move out the table and found one of the only power point behind. Wi-Fi is very weak, can't do anything. Only good point is the room consider clean.

The rooms are good though the bathroom is a bit small. Otherwise a very good deal.

It was a very nice Hotel. Problem of setting up the elevator card reader, so difficulty accessing the floors. See another hotel more to the liking of the day.

It is a hotel that wants to be a 3 star, but it is worth no more than 2. Good reception, the room is obsolete, a refreshments is unavailable in the rooms. The breakfast is very poorly organized, lack of glasses or services, the fruit juices do not match the key you press, you warn in advance that you are gluten-free, they are not able to buy enough gluten-free toast. The rooms are well cleaned. Its location is well located it's quite quiet. A recommend for the price and the value for money is good. The price is low so be not surprised what you find.

The staff are very nice and attentive to your little desires. The rooms are spacious and comfortable even if the equipment starts to age a little (especially the Teles:-D) but I am sure that the establishment will take very quickly measures.
In short I can only recommend.

Something worn out workhorse hotel, OK for simple purposes.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the metro and all other bus and tram stops. In a short time you can also reach the center on foot. Only flaw that the hair dryer was only available on request and is not available for all rooms.

It is a very well located hotel, but I did not like the bathroom in the room. The shower was broken. Small towels. Breakfast is paid aside, should not be as it is not cheap.

The reception of the hotel is very nice. The receptionist was very friendly. The room is old but clean. In my opinion, he needs a facelift.

A bit bleak. Clean, but not many amenities. Everything a bit worn down. Comfortable bed but nothing special. 4am wake up call for the wrong room.

Quaint Hotel, where tranquility reigns. Too bad it appears, especially in the rooms, a bit outdated and decadent. For example it would need a nice renovation of the sanitary fixtures in the bathrooms and the supplies in general. The room and the bathroom were small enough. The cleanliness of the bathroom, bed and towels was good, the carpet not spotless. Good breakfast. From the rooms you can not even enjoy a beautiful view, in fact the only thing you see, even from the 6th floor, is the skyscraper front (and just a bit ' of Sky leaning out). In short, for more than 80 euros per night per person (excluding breakfast) you would expect more.

Old Hotel but comfortable. The beds were comfortable and they offered two pillows. The temperature is well regulated. The bathroom was great. I heard comments about the security and although the hotel is old they have security measures as a hotel card obligation to use elevator and access to the floors. Everything is clean every day when you return to the hotel. The first day you get a chocolate bar. Good location, close to Metro station and North station and is geared towards entering the shopping avenue leading up to the great Place.
Negative things:-No hair dryer-constant background noise from what they look like air conditioners.
-Constant cistern noise — breakfast 15 euros person with no possibility of breakfast at the hotel bar a coffee and a bun, so we had to go outside. Nearby there are a couple of croissanterias and a Starbucks.

Not recommended. The staff seemed to be overtaxed, the room was not clean. Advertised with soundproof rooms, however it is extremely noisy! We do not come again…

Very bright and abgeranzte room with single glazed windows. The receptionist made a somewhat overtaxed impression and mixed up all the languages she had known, which really did not promote comprehensibility. Cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. However, the price is reasonable. However, the rooms are presented in a very different way from what they actually look like.

Very noisy, walls seem to be paper thin. You can hear EVERY SINGLE WORD or even when someone takes a piss next door. There are only very basic amenities in the room, no fridge or minibar (but they take a minibar deposit at check-in), no tissues or hairdryer. There was only one working socket in the room (behind the desk). The rooms seem to be poorly maintained and both it and the lobby have a very distinct smell. It definitely needs a complete refurbishment. The location is fine, close to main transport routes.

Long waiting at the reception and not so well maintained room. (Water in shower not running down etc. ) Nice breakfast and good location. I also liked some elements of the "colonial" interior design.

It's fine for the price. Sort of OK location, generally. Great location for me and my reasons for travel. Room was comfortable, nice size and clean and tidy. Everything you'd expect for the price. Would have liked a kettle and some tea/coffee in the room though… Access to plug sockets for laptop and phone charging was poor. Wi-Fi is very good speed.

Room 405, spacious but now superannuated in the furnishings. The bathroom with a more unique presence than rare: bidet! A "deduction" of the exceptional presence, a bathtub to use as a shower. … Worsening, health-tested by use.

Hotel still on a human scale in a period building attacked unfortunately by the skyscrapers of progress. However when you are in breaths still air of serenity and even class. The rooms are very clean and the room is very good. Good buffet in the morning with genuine products.

Carpeting everywhere. Not spotless. The rooms are heated by very old radiators and therefore remain quite cold. The staff however is very friendly and helpful. There is no courtesy set and a Wi-Fi acceptable.

The hotel needs a set-up. Beyond that, all right.

The service is ok and as well as the customer service but some of the room amenities are not that good. Our room is gloomy, the door inside the room is broken and no water heater for quick coffee and potable water or bottled water for the guests.

The hotel is very well located, just 15 minutes from the centre of Brussels walking and with a metro stop two minutes from which you can get anywhere. It is clean and the beds are very comfortable.

The bed very good something soft but comfortable, if you are going to stay here bring a thief for the plugs because there are two in the whole room and they don't get to bed. The bathroom is very fair, of space and of quality. The stars go around the hotel which in if it is quite cozy and the employees very friendly.

The hotel is old and very badly maintained. The housekeeping staff is trying to do something, but it needs a major refurbrishment. The worst things are: The fool next to my room spoke on the phone untill 12 am. Then watched TV very loud untill 5 am. At 6 am he left slamming the door. The walls are so thin, that I could clearly hear the woman on the opposite side of this 2-hour phonecall. All the room doors are slamming, don't know why. Had to kneel down to plug in my laptop, because the only plug is behind the desk. No fridge in the room. Peeled paint. And a very strange smell. And the best thing is that some stupid workers started at 6 am digging up the street right under my window with a massuve bulldozer. Will not come back to this hotel even for free. The worst experience in a hotel I've ever had.

Nice hotel, but who would benefit from changing these mattresses at first they must date the creation of the hotel …

Close to the North station and the Rogier Metro stop. 20 minutes walk from Grand Place. The Hotel Hall is shared with the hotel Siru, it seems that in other times they were a unique hotel. It is a building with solera that lived better times but I do not know conserves bad. The room and the bathroom were not old but spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. We had to have in nearby rooms some other noisy guest.

Everything top for the price! Good location.

Good hotel. Be careful not to book a taxi at the reception to go to the airport (€50)! Official Taxi in the street 40 euro.

Old and noisy Hotel. Impossible to rest because you hear absolutely all of the adjoining rooms. I do not recommend it even though its location is good. It is preferable to pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Good location. 1 min from metro station. And city2 s c is 2 mins. It has super market and everything. 15 mins walk to the grand place. Bigish room. Warm and comfy. Much better than the hotel I stayed in Paris (super small). Breakfast has egg bacon and other stuff. The room is a bit outdated though. But it's fine for one night.

Two stars just because it is cheap dirty and wet carpet the shower did not unload uncomfortable bed and non-soundproofed rooms (and in the next room they were going to do)

Loved the hotel! The hotel was built in the 1900, very secured, you can enter in the building, on the floors only by card.

Good central location. Must have been a pretty grand hotel 50 years ago. It's a bit tired now, but still good value. The rooms are comfortable and big enough.

Pretty cheap Hotel in Brussels, convenient just for a short stay in the city. Structure quite dated.

I it is OK to smoke inside the rooms, unless smoke alarm goes off. It is ok to loiter, yell, sing, shout inside the rooms until someone calles a police. Otherwise staff doesn't give a crap. Beware of that if you are here with kids or would like to have a sleep at night. Because I haven't. "oh your roommate is smoking there and you are non smoker and about to choke? Unless fire alarm goes off, I can offer you another room for 70€" — hotel's policy at 3am.

I left my dirty clothes (NICE clothes — — I wore suits all week) in a plastic sack in my room and they were thrown away by a house keeper while I was at a conference. At first, I was taken to the dumpster and told I could look through the trash if I wanted. Finally a staff member said I shouldnt dig in their dumpsters and the night crew would do it later. They didn't find them. I was told that the morning staff would look again and they'd be washed if found, or I'd be compensated. About 36 hours after said clothes were gone, they came back. I don't know if someone took a better look through the dumpster or if someone thought they were in trouble and had second thoughts about stealing. I received no apology and they did not wash my clothes.

Central… close to Gare du Nord station and 15 minutes from Grand Place. Great breakfast, clean.

Traditional Hotel with rustic rooms could be modernised!

It was a very nice hotel. The shower is malfunctioning, the elevator seems to have been a hundred years since the last overhaul, television is a survivor of the twentieth century. The bedding is however comfortable, we spend a good night. The breakfast on the other hand, very basic, leaves a little on his hunger. This is a simple and economical step for the workers passing through the Brussels business district.

Hotel with gut price. Zone top in Mitte Stadt.

Hotel not very expensive correct, proper room clean and breack fast correct, room view not clear as it is in an alley, ideal location subway station Roger, city center on foot for half an hour.

The location is very good. I had a small problem in the room but the staff immediately sure to help me change my room and fornendomene one on the 1st floor terrible with a smell… so much so that I resumed the previous one. Great location and a wonderful breakfast with everything… There was also the bidet but not in all the rooms. Staff responsive and always available!

On OK hotel though it needs a renovation. The beds are to small and very soft.

Near from metro Rogier. Good location and good Staff. Very confortable!

Double charged for taxes, refused to accept we had already paid for it despite being on our invoice. Staff grumpy, shower falling off wall, no fridge in room, no hair dryer and no amenities so bring your own toothpaste.

Avoid. High price, low standard and service and they try to dubble charge you.

House on avenue very boiling, door slamming, closet that opens door, bathroom opens against the bed, switch on the wrong side of the door.

Good value for money with a "groupon" (-50%) offer, otherwise well located, 5's walk to the North Station and 10 min to the Center. Breakfast a bit expensive € 15.

The building needs a long overdue makeover. Its near competitors are cheaper and better. The sheets and bathroom fixtures were clean but the ancient rug was quite dodgy. There was dry snot on the wall near the headboard. The shower tap had been fixed with sections of garden hose. The mattress was very very poor probably very old as it was extremely soft and you could hurt yourself on a midbeam of the bed structure. Last but not least only one electric socket was available in the bathroom and it would only function if the light was left on. Avoid at all cost.

Stayed in the Hotel Des Colonies for one night in mid July 2014. At ~ 65 euros for a room with two twin beds, and less than a 20 minute walk from the center this was a great value.

Very old, poorly renovated.

Pretty run down but clean. When I arrived there was strange deposits in the bathtub (no doubt a discharge pipe), I had to clean it up myself, nothing having been done despite my report at the reception.
Wi — Fi barely usable.
Room with three beds close, I would have preferred a larger bed.

Do not recommend it. My laptop was stolen from the hotel room.

Way too expensive. I paid 350 EUR per night, but the room was of a quality that is not worth more than 100. Internet did not work. Room not ready on arrival. Only plus is the location.

Location very good. Breakfast as usual in the hotels of this level — coffee, tea, cheese, ham, sausage, cereal, yoghurts etc Rooms are small but fairly decent, with a TV. Have a good rest.
