The most beautiful boutique hotel with the most amazing staff and incredible service! I have just celebrated my wedding here after growing up visiting this hotel. My favourite hotel in the world and can’t wait to come back next year! Oh and you can’t beat a rum punch at Harold’s Bar!

I was there for dinner only and for the beautiful music. The atmosphere food and drinks and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend for a lovely evening out!

The hotel and the beach are excellent! 5* indeed, but what exceeded my expectation was the staff. They were all passionate about what they do and gave more than 100% to make guests feel relaxed and on vacation mode. We stayed here with our 4-year-old daughter to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it would surely be one of the fond memories we will remember.

5 Star from start of day till end. Beautiful rooms. Gorgeous property with lush impeccable landscaping. The food is 5 star. The Chef is creative and the food is spectacular. Service is amazing and the staff goes out of their way to know you a d what you like. Total Class and elegance.

We have just had a wonderful family stay at the Sandpiper. It’s a peaceful spot overlooking a beautiful beach. The staff are friendly and their service superb. Delicious breakfast and high quality lunch and dinner.

This is our 12th year coming to The Sandpiper, and we highly recommend it! The staff is so friendly and attentive. The beach and water is gorgeous. We have access to it’s boat for just cruising, skiing, or being pulled on the large 4-person raft. The cuisine is phenomenal! The Chef, Christophe, makes each dish to perfection with an artistic presentation. The flora and fauna are kept manicured expertly. You also have access to your own tennis professional for 2 hours each day. It’s a resort you will never forget, and why so many guests return year after year.

We just had a fabulous week at The Sandpiper to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The service was excellent: Housekeeping does a thorough job twice a day; Beach attendants are always around to put a towel covering on your chair, bring you a pitcher of water, and deliver 11am sorbet; Restaurant staff is very attentive without being intrusive.
Breakfast is included and can be eaten either in the restaurant or via room service. Since we stayed the last week before their annual 2 month shut down, we were able to get an excellent deal of 4 complimentary dinners. Dinner was fabulous every night.
The grounds are beautiful, filled with lush gardens. We took an included garden tour on Thursday with one of the gardeners and were treated to complimentary lemonades upon completion.
Our unit was perfectly situated with a garden and beach view. It was lovely to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of ocean (and the whistling tree frogs that in any place other than Barbados would likely annoy me).
There is a complimentary (delicious) rum punch upon arrival as well as a complimentary cocktail hour with the managers on Wednesday night. In one of my conversations with a manger we discussed the great snorkeling experience we’d had with an outside boat we’d hired. I told him that unfortunately we weren’t able to find any sea turtles to swim with. He said he could arrange for the Sandpiper staff to take us out for free the next day.

A really luxury experience. We were upgraded when we got there, brilliant start. The welcome drinks from Harold's bar were delicious, and Harold and his team were excellent. Our room was a massive ground floor suite with a garden view. It had a small kitchenette and sitting room. It was very clean and spacious. The room was turned down twice a day and in the evening the staff provided goodnight biscuits which were a nice touch. The soaps in the room were White Company too, and I love that brand. When we arrived we found an invitation to the managers drinks that evening, where every guest was invited for free drinks and to socialise. In a small hotel, this intimacy with staff and other guest makes the experience really memorable. The food at the hotel was first class. The breakfast is amazing! And we really recommend the coconut prawns at lunch too. At Harold's bar there is an endless menu of drinks to choose from, and often they bring round small snacks for free to the beach chairs. There are also complimentary coconuts! We visited a many beaches during our stay in Barbados. The beach at the Sandpiper definitely has the calmest and clearest water. It is right next to a marine reserve too so the snorkelling was fantastic. There were free non-motor watersports facilities at the hotel which is always a big plus for beach holidays. We were also very pleasantly surprised at how cheap the motor water sports were — $25 for 15 minutes. Thanks to the team for a brilliant stay.

Our third time to The Sandpiper Amazing place to chill with exceptional attentive service, we took our girls this time and they can’t wait to go back, all the staff go the extra mile to make your holiday special. Michelle at breakfast cared for my parents and went above and beyond the call of duty. Harold’s Bar as always were on the ball serving us on the beach nothing was too much trouble. Fine dining in the evening won’t disappoint. Water sports facilities were amazing and Tristan in particular shone.

4th visit this time for 9 nights. Location, food and standards of welcome and care for the customer all are exemplary. Mongoose in the gardens are an added bonus.

Absolutely lovely. Beautiful gardens very friendly staff delicious foods and drinks and right on the beach so you can swim with all the fish plus the waterspouts are so fun! FYI there is two locations of the same hotel on the map and one is located on a farm inland and im reviewing the st james location.

Exceptional guest service. It is expensive but you feel you received every penny's worth!

My mum and I stayed at the Sandpiper for 8 days a couple of weeks ago. I would highly recommend this hotel! Perfect location, outstanding customer service and care from the friendly, hard working staff, amazing food and drinks and with breath taking views of the Caribbean Sea. Staff both in the hotel and the water sports section looked after us brilliantly! Thank you very much! We loved staying at the hotel!

Went for dinner for the Sunday night BBQ after it being recommended. Was faultless. The food was very good with many choices, setting and atmosphere was spot on. The staff made the evening — they are some of the best I have ever encountered anywhere including 7 star hotels. Not hugely overpriced either considering what you get. Well worth a visit and will be going back next time.
