We are fortunate to have traveled the world and appreciate great service which is in abundance at the Ambassador.
From the moment we walked in to the lobby we have been looked after incredibly well and shown great respect.

Beautiful hotel, right in the middle of Vienna's main shopping street. The room was spacious and the bathroom was as big as the room itself, with his and hers wash basins, bath tub with shower and bidet. However, the real let down here was the staff. We found them to be generally unwelcoming and unhelpful. A smiley face on arrival goes a long way.

A magnificent historic hotel in the heart of the world. Many famous personalities stayed here. The real Austrian is the impeccable quality of any service in the hotel. Very beautiful authentic interior and furniture. Very tasty dishes in the restaurant, any of them can be ordered in the room, especially I advise Viennese schnitzel and Kaiserschmann. If you are afraid of extra calories, then any vegetable soup. One of the main advantages of the hotel is the staff. Almost everyone has been working here for many years, excellent professionals and nice people. Nearby is bill Kors' great supermarket and subway. The views from the windows are some of the best in Vienna.

Loved it. So welcoming. Room great, with lovely air conditioning. Necessary in this hot weather. Breakfast area beautiful overlooking the plaza.

The Ambassador Hotel is in an amazing location it sits in the heart of the city. We walked everywhere and the bus and train is within walking distance and easy to use. Hotel staff was amazing and courteous. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is we had an issue with the shower and they were not able to fix it. But we were able to use the tub with no problem. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Vienna.

The Service is horrible, despite the fact the hotel location is in a tourist location, it was very hard to communicate with the staff and many time misunderstood what we said or requested. I had a situation with the reception where I was not told there is an additional payment for second guest. Therefore, I was surprised with it and tried having a polite communication with the receptionist who was extremely impolite and threaten to call the police. I tried to communicate with the manager she refused to get anyone and got very personal. I communicated with the travel agent later on to stop any future reservation for my company to this hotel. I am very disappointed with the experience.

Excellent location. The most courteous staff. Waking up to the sound of buskers, even when you are on business trip, calms your morning nerves to the hilt. Being above the Swarovski showroom is just brilliant! :) Married man talking.

Lots of foreign hair on the bed sheet or pillow, even after the complaint. Rooms are quite small but still cosy. In terms of cleanliness a 2 star hotel. The location is optimal and the employees quite ok.

We were in Vienna in the summer of 2016. Hotel was good. Breakfast was OK. Only staff were not nice: (hence only 3STERNE.

Quality hotel at an excellent location in walking distance to most central Vienna sights. Grand Building and luxurious suites. Excellent bar and restaurant staff, concierge service poor. In dire need of refurnishing and refurbishment.

Was there for the restaurant woche and the food was delicious! The service was really nice! I recommend it!

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were not very clean, and as a double bed were two single beds that always slipped apart.
The toilet was still full of detergent, which we had to wipe away first.
Overall our last visit.

Negative the experience completely. It's just ok the location close to everything important, but it deserves pension category as much. Fatal attention, minimal services, fair cleaning, all outdated and they don't know what it is to smile at the customer. Inadvisable and expensive for services.

Very nice location. All major Vienna attractions by foot including museums and shopping. The hotel has the charm of the past. Large rooms. Did not rate 5 stars because of tobacco smell in corridors, phonic isolation of rooms limited from neighbours although perfect from the street. Nice breakfast although not included and rather expensive. Staff is not that friendly. Overall 4 stars but be careful: a 3 star rate was not far away.

Great hotel. Great location. Slightly upscale prices. The restaurant is highly recommended. We had reserved and ate quite classic wiener schnitzel. Really top quality. I'll come back. Very nice location and great view.

This is NOT a five star hotel. The premises and rooms are outdated, beds and pillows are of a poor quality, no coffee/tea/bottled water in the room, and our double room consisted of two single beds pushed together. Overall really poor IMO 4 star hotel, NO WHERE NEAR A FIVE STAR HOTEL.

Lovey place to stay, and a great location. Balcony views into 1010 are nice. If you are not accustomed to city living, street noise may be an issue for you, if balcony doors are left open, as this is located in the middle of the city, in a shopping area. Full service bar at this location, with friendly staff all around.

Great location in the heart of Vienna city center. The room size is the best thing here. The place is highly recommended.

This hotel is centrally located and is 2 minutes walk from the Inner City. Connectivity wise there is a metro station nearby (Stephansplatz Metro Station). This hotel has this old world charm and has spacious rooms.

Nearly perfect, cosy place, big room, friendly personal, no parking, (36 € fine) excellent breakfast (25 €) best bathroom ever, perfect air condition, entrance ist "Neuer Markt", Can't drive on Kärntner Straße. New Billa-market 100m north on Neuer Markt excellent. The Center (1. Bezirk) is phantastic and 100% tourism.

I would recommend this hotel highly for every traveller to Vienna. Friendly staff, excellent location. Near underground transport. Great rooms.

The staff are nice and speak English (somewhat). The rooms are clean depending on what you call clean but overall I enjoyed my stay.

The staff were most helpful and courteous, the rooms were light and comfortable and the breakfast food was tasty and well presented and staff were most attentive and indeed had my wife's decaffinated expresso there moments after we sat down having remembered from the previous day — excellent. Only criticism was that the bathroom was a little on the small size for such a large and spacious bedroom and the towels were of indifferent quality, for a 5 star hotel. Other than that all good!

I very much enjoyed staying at the Ambassador Wien. I specifically liked the antique furniture and the charm of this old building. My room was quite spacious and comfortable. The proximity to the metro and the main attractions in the city was also a plus. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved the location. It is very convenient to shopping, dining & tours.

Nice historical place, perfect location, Apartment room is amazing… Feel very comfortable here and sleep well. Breakfast better to have outside just because you can find really nice food and better price in cafe around the hotel.

They confused me with payments and blocked amount, even I booked room under "pay later" conditions.
