We recently stayed at Post am See and would like to thank Wolfgang, Monika and the whole team for a most enjoyable stay.

Great place with excellent service. We were lucky and were able to participate at wine tasting upon arrival. Breakfast is fabulous, I also enjoyed free yoga lesson.

Amazing location right next to the (quiet) cable car. We had an appartment with 2 rooms and a living room and were very happy.

I stayed here for two weeks while in the area on business. The location and view are 5-star, the family owners are welcoming and friendly.

Very tasty food, big portion (very big! even for kids). Service is ok.

We chose a hotel in the town of Gmunden as a base for trips to the towns of Hallstatt and St. Gilgen, the hotel is located on the edge of a lake (a narrow road separates it from the lake),

Honestly everything was fantastic. The owners were so friendly and helpful!
From the time we arrived until the day we had to leave, we felt completely taken care of and safe.

Nice hotel. Nicest saunas and swimming pool I have ever seen. However I think the hotel is remiss not to lend out boats to guests for a paddle in the lake.

Fantastic location; short walking distance to many lovely/popular attractions & places to eat.

The rooms are simple, but very clean. Breakfast was good and they even made us eggs to go with the pastries and cold cuts. The two ladies running it are incredibly sweet and friendly.

If you want to visit Hallstatt, and to have a peaceful and comfortable stay — choose it!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life and I say that honestly. I have never experienced such wonderful treatment as I did from the staff at this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for a romantic Alpine vacation. It was very pleasant and romantic! The staff is highly professional and service-oriented, and there is free parking available for hotel guests.

We have just returned from a ten day holiday in lovely St. Wolfgang. Staying in the beautiful Hotel Furian which is owned and run by father and son, Teddy and Markus.

Hotel Furian is more than a hotel. So comfortable with all the aspects you didn't know would add to your comfort.

Location, Rooms, Breakfast spread, Staff.
The bad.
And this stretching but no onsite parking (see below for more)

What to say about this hotel?

We spent 3 nights in Scalaria (friday-monday) and I must say that we have been very satisfied with our stay. The location is gorgeous, on the begining of the pedestrian part of Sankt Wolfgang.

The most convenient thing about Gasthof Simony — Hallstatt is its location.

I stayed in a room overlooking the lake and the view was just spectacular. The room itself was clean and well maintained. The hotel is just steps away from the market square and the ferry.

This is an amazing hotel and you're staying in a piece of history which is super cool.

Location was very charming in a historic house, along a charming street. Room was comfortable, with great views of the lake, and shower was good.

Very nice staff, rich history. Hotel amenities a little limited, including less reliable internet and simpler room amenities (we had one small pillow per person, for example).

Great place close to the nature. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful person.

The views are spectacular, we went in early spring and could have not chosen a better place than this.

If you are looking for history and scenery, this is the place to go. For 4 stars comfort food, go someplace else.
