Absolutely unfriendly waiter sat down for customers in cycling clothes even though the terrace was half empty! Were probably not chic enough for the gentlemen!

One unfortunately only pays for the fantastic view from the balcony, room 1303. Kindness, especially in the restaurant is underground, I felt like in the GDR, empty tables, but no space, reservations only for extra cash …
Unfortunately only a few locals work in the beautiful villages, since almost all visitors come only once, one probably does not have to be friendly, except the nice lady in the souvenir shop. We will not be back!

I had a look into the trip advisor comments on the hotel and comments were not good about the staff service and the room arrangement. But then we were relieved when we reached the hotel! Attitude of the receptionist was good and friendly, and she put her smile on all the time and very informative when we asked about the salt mine tour. We booked the lake view and they did provide us the lake view, although we are not at the main heritage hotel building, the view is fair enough with the price we paid. We added breakfast upon arrival and the price is very reasonable! We also tried the dinner at the restaurant and the staff is professional and efficient! The food is pretty nice with reasonable price as well! Just one comment is that the bathtub water drainage was not good but overall we did enjoy our stay here!

Close to the ferry station. The room is big and clean. We have a great stay here for 2night. The staff is also very nice. The hotel give us a room which face the lake. It’s beautiful view. We very enjoy our holiday here. Wish come back again.

Hallstatt is a fairytale location and staying in Heritage made our vacation absolutely unforgettable. Waking up with those breathtaking views over the lake were priceless. We also highly recommend their lake front restaurant for dinner — great service and fantastic food made of local products. Cannot wait to come back!

Perfect place if you wanna stay here, for its location, shuttle deliver you directly here and boats renting at site, and its prices are reasonable.

Fantastic view. No ac. Spacious rooms but very basic. Will need to park your car very far and pull your luggage to and from the hotel with no help, i. E. Cart.

This was one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been in. Not because of the food but because of the staff. Such slow staff with not fully occupied restaurant you need to look for a long time. The prices were also little bit higher but taking into account the location it is understandable.

Perfect location. Had Vegan Breakfast and Dinner here even not on the menu. Staff Werner made it possible. He was very helpful and polite. Recommended.

One of the few open restaurants in Hallstatt is part of the Heritage hotel. Romantic evening, we were there for dinner and despite the cool of the evening we preferred to eat out in the lake View terrace and with the cover on the legs. The food was very good, Viennese pork chop with a side of potatoes and zucchini cooked really well with light bread. Also good dessert. Staff Average price. I can say I made a very good choice.

Concerning the Restaurant: Avoid it. To start with, the wait staff is extremely impolite and unprofessional. When our order was taken, the waitress didn't even say hello. The prices are above average, which is way too much for the quality of the food. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel with a cucumber-potato salad. The breading was soggy, which means it wasn't fresh but pre-made. The potato salad was straight out of a can. I wouldn't mind paying above average, when the food would be adequate. But it just isn't. Location is nice though.

This is among the very hotels in the very centre of Hallstatt, right next to the lake. The views are beautiful and breathtaking. Just that by itself is worth 5 stars. The food in the restaurant was quite good, though a bit pricey. Staff was friendly and helping. Worth visiting if you are in Hallstatt.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are already very worn and there are problems with silver fishing in the bathroom/toilet.
The room size is very pleasant though and it is very quiet. Nice view and great location.
Price performance is currently not justified.

Beutiful little guesthouse situated in halstatt. Great view of the river and the majestic mountain, which looks impressive in winter. The restaurant is a quaint rustic homely feel, they serve good local cuisine such as chicken or pork schnitzel, freshly caught fishes and some draft beers and cakes. The waiters are really professional even though the lunch crowd was full and they only had 3 floor staff and is overwhelmed. Definitely.

Very rude service at the restaurant! Not friendly at all, the old lady waitress and the manager were very rude. They can't speak English very well, and they blame you for can't speaking in their language. As they are working in a tourist area, I think they should at least know how to count from one to ten, otherwise they will get all the orders wrong. Food takes forever to be served and they don't serve the people who comes in first, they serve the ones who sit closer to the kitchen. Very disappointed.

Great hotel for an almost acceptable price. Thanks the underfloor heating, you can celebrate your proposal with your partner. Great views. Common areas are only 3 stars hotel, so something to improve, together with the small and boring breakfast.

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel, we had a beautiful deluxe double room with breakfast and dinner booked. The food was amazing and staff very nice! We would definitely come back again.

Location good, dinner good, rest well. The reception staff on arrival was quite bored. We were not told where the lift is to the rooms, nor where the restaurant is located for breakfast. We just pressed the room card in the hand. In addition, it would be desirable to be informed by the staff that the hotel guest in the public parking lot is cheaper to park. Even that was not told us, so we were allowed to pay for 15h parking 19, —. The rooms are OK, cleanliness well. Unfortunately we had a problem with the water in the room. It was green-yellowish. We complained immediately. There was also a technician who exchanged a filter. After that it should be better, but it was not. When we told the time, we were told that it was quite normal in Hallstatt. Since I am pregnant, of course I drank no water from the pipe, also the showers were not quite as pleasant for me.

I love this hotel very much. The staffs are friendly. We were having our dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, it was very delicious, the fish are sweet and fresh and variety of healthy breakfast. The balcony view from my room are amazing. Will visit here during spring or autumn.

We stayed at building 3, which was a bit of a trek from the main building from where we checked in (especially with luggage in tow) but the view really made up for it! The main building is situated right in the main square and next to the dock so it can get very noisy and crowded. Best to request staying at building 3 — it’s quiet, barely anyone passing by, and the panoramic view of the lake from the balcony is just incredible! The room itself was bright and airy, and well maintained.

Good food! Hotel with a total of 3 houses in the village. The house of the 7min CA is on foot. Very quiet.

We visited the hotel for lunch. The food quality was ok but the staff behaviour was horrible. Even when the closing time was not close they constantly tried to push us out. The barely had time to bill us for the food and when the billing machine didn't work at the first time they literally sed to us that they do not have time for this. Asking them what the hurry was and if they were closing down the only reply we got was no we afe not closing. Would not recommend this place if you are only looking to eat.

This hotel has several things going for it. Best price, located right outside of the boat dock and very central to everything else. Room was beautiful and made for a wonderful experience in Hallstat. I would without question stay here again.

Hotel clean, there is a hot kettle can be boiled hot water is very bonus points! Location is good. Unfortunately, the staff attitude is not good, double bed is two single bed bed even, in the middle is also very easy to separate the sound is very noisy, you can also hear the sound of the building to go to bed move. The four-star breakfast was so full of disappointment.

Fantastic hotel, there are three separate buildings, one by the lake, with lake views and 2 other buildings further up the hill. We stayed at the Stockler house and highly recommend that location. Recently renovated interior of a 500+ year old building. Check in as early as possible, the buses arrive around 4pm and the line gets a bit long.

The hotel in general is a 4 star, the rooms very spacious and modern with very good services and view. The breakfast is basic is something to improve and the lobby + common areas of a 3 star. A bad one is the church that is opposite sounds loud bells every day at 6 am.

Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Food was okay. Big breakfast buffet with champagne. Cappuccino from a self serve machine was surprisingly delicious!

Best place, best view, best food, best beer!

The experience in this hotel was not pleasent. The staff was not concerned about the guests. We felt like they were hearding people in and out. Reception was chaotic and disorganized. Following the unpleasant check-in was a very long walk to our room (in the rain) in which we had to carry our suitcases the whole way (including up a few flights of stairs). The room itself was not clean (spider webs) and felt very average and boring. The extra bed brought in for my sister was poor quality and hard to sleep on. The room did have a beautiful view of the lake.

The food is good here however I was extremely disappointed with the service. After finishing our meal we waited for over 30 mins to have the table cleared and we wanted to order more drinks and desserts but ended up leaving after being ignored by the staff. We will not be returning.

You cant park near hotel, you have to call city shuttle from P1, and they will come to pick you up. Which is free for their guest (every 30mins), or you have to pay 12 euro. Very good location and staff. There are 2 hotels from them, one is next to lake, another is 3 mins walk, in a 500 years old nice building. So make sure which one you would like to stay at night before you go.

We only stopped at the place for dinner. The menu was limited but provided meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The meat dishes tasted quite okay, but when comparing the price you pay, around €50 for a main course and a glass of wine it is definitely not worth the price. But the view on the lake was really nice and made us forget about the price.

Have already chosen the expensive house, the check-out time must carry on the baggage to drop on the third floor, the line arrived at the front desk the waiter to see you, when you do not see, want a car out of the car park to pick up the car, ask you to move out, the car park is about 20 minutes away from the hotel, ask what method, call you at the door waiting for 20 minutes, the result waited for an hour, attitude is very poor, Impatient, and lived into the belly-gas.
If you don't mind no service, don't mind no attitude, don't mind moving your baggage, you can try it, but I will not stay in this hotel, I don't deserve a 4 star hotel.

Unfortunately no proper assessment — when we were to search for "A prolonged please" in Hallstatt, was finished only a part of the hotel. But now, it looks very nice. Next time we look then safely inside.

The heritage is the starting point for sightseeing, hiking, or just enjoying in the Salzkammergut! Absolutely recommendable.

The location is great, amenities are amongst the best in Hallstatt. The service at the restaurant is horrible. Horrible.

Very casual hotel in Hallstatt — Café is a hammer and Hallstatt is super nice! Hotel Hallstatt I so highly recommend the heritage — from here can you the Salzkammergut really "discover" :-).
