On the occasion of our wedding day we booked the bridal suite. Even the reception was very friendly, everything was perfectly explained to us. Also the procedures for breakfast and dinner (Covid-19 arrangements). The suite of course very nice and comfortable. Half board and breakfast very tasty. Wellness area super clean, very spacious and quiet. Great also the outdoor area of the swimming pool. We will certainly be happy to come back.

We've been coming here for years. Located in the heart of Zell, THE last family-run hotel, represented by 4 generations. Great ambience, extremely friendly and fun staff. Hammer food, super breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires. SPA and wellness everywhere, even in the room we had a sauna. A paradise for everyone who stands for individuality. Thanks to you all for the great time!

Probably by far the best hotel ever! You arrive and immediately feel totally at home. The food is excellent, the rooms very clean and with attention to detail and the service as well as the landlords simply great. The location in the heart of Zell am See is fantastic and ideal for numerous excursions (Kitzsteinhorn, Kaprun Reservoirs, Schmittenhöhe, caves, boat trip at the lake…) So boredom never comes up here. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Romantikhotel Zell am See ❤️

Very Racist restaurant staff. Specially the women waitress. We stayed for 4 days and the women would sprinkle extra salt on our food which made my 12 year old son very uncomfortable. An elderly German couple tried to make my son comfortable after seeing everything. They cracked joke at us thinking we did not understand German language. But people do understand body language. So we started going out for our meals. And skipped the dinner.
When I picke up a paper bag to put some bread in it she came screeching at me and asking if o had paid for it. Paapee bags provided by the hotel.
She could have been very sad women. If we can come all the way from Asia we can afford a piece of bread I guess.
Loved the reception staff. Very helpful. The rooms are Lovely. Overall a very uncomfortable stay due to the extreme rudeness.

We had the best week at the RomantikHotel.
Staff is very friendly, as are the owners. Everyone works extremely hard to give you the best possible holiday.
The food is good, rooms are huge.
Many (mainly free) activities are planned during the week.

A beautiful hotel with very helpful staff who speak good English. Lovely food and a nice spa area. A beautiful garden with a small apple tree near the restaurant. The hotel is situated very close to centre and a couple of minutes from Lake.

Quite simply the best Tiroler Grostl I've ever had and I've had many in Austria. Big portion, perfectly cooked. Unfortunately no space for ice cream.

Perfect location in the heart of Sell an see, close to everything you need. Staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are large and spacious. Good food and excellent service. Gardens and pool and spa are a bonus in a central hotel. Enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed for a night in the romantic hotel and had booked the wedding suite.
The suite is very spacious and furnished with great attention to detail. However, this positive impression was greatly clouded by a terrible night in the waterbed.
One has constantly slipped with one's head to the metal grille at the head end as the upper body was deeper than the legs. The entire mattress gave the impression of a mountain and valley railway. Even when it was unused, the mattress made a very hilly impression. Either the mattress was badly ventilated or the tile is totally glued.
I am a long-time waterbed sleeper, but the one that gets completely wheeled in the morning and gets up with back pain happened to me for the first time. I really expect a better place to sleep, waterbed back and forth for the price.
The non-functioning TV in the bedroom and the broken minibar are almost only small things against it.
Great praise for the spa area, very relaxing and also the very short-term booked massage was great.
The breakfast is varied and very good.
We also had dinner in the evening in our own restaurant. The food was mediocre and did not correspond to a 4 star restaurant. By a Backhendl I mean half a Hendl with bone and skin with rescher Panade. Instead, I got a chicken schnitzel with a cardboard pumpkin seed panade. The decoration salad on the plates was completely gammish, because apparently already done hours before.

Really warm and welcoming! Popped in for a hot chocolate as parents were staying there. Lovely feel for the old town and love that is always been and still is family run.

Arived late due to heavy snow through Germany, the hotel served dinner an hour after service had stopped which was much appreciated. This is our 3rd visit to the hotel Romantik and we have been well looked after each time, there are 4/5 courses served each night main course has a selection of vegetarian, meat or fish.

Before, it is not the cheapest option for a short stay, but you get a lot of bids, staff nice and effort, the rooms are top, modern clean nice big, we had breakfast in the room with everything you can imagine, even the dinner And the whole thing was perfect, if you put everything together a top hotel to recommend!

We've been visiting the Romantik hotel for many years now and have had a wonderful holiday each time. The owners and staff are so helpful and it is our favourite place to stay not only here but anywhere! You won't find a better hotel. It is actually more of a home for us. We even got married here. Wonderful in every aspect.

A really wonderful place to switch off and drop. Originally an action-packed we were planned with hikes and skiing, but the alternative program with Wellness & Spa was all the more appealing. The hotel keeps what it promises and especially designed for couples perfectly. Our cuddly room was clean and very cozy. The staff are mega friendly and you feel immediately welcome. Zell am See offers a beautiful landscape that is simply to fall in love with. We will always be happy to come back here. Absolute recommendation!

A dream!

A beautiful hotel retaining its historic character. The family Horl could not have been more welcoming. Our Christmas stay was made very special indeed with atmosphere, tradition and 2 fantastic celebration dinners. Extremely comfortable beds which is really appreciated after ski days. In addition the beautiful spa area including the heated outdoor pool was a welcome retreat after energetic days on the mountain. We will return very soon.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Zell. It is the welcome from the Family Horl and the friendliness of staff that really stands out. The breakfast is amazing and guaranteed to get you out of bed in the morning. Dinner is also an absolute delight. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. It is our favourite hotel in Zell.

This hotel is so beautiful and fairytale like. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. We did not eat dinner there, because their a la carte restaurant was closed. And we did not have reservations for other restaurant. We found delicious spot, Crazy Daisy just steps away. After we went to dinner we were going to try the pool but it closed at 8:00. Would have been better to stay 2 nights to use the emenities during the full day. Wonderful breakfast.

Beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff. Perfect breakfast which was included, pool in the beautiful gardner where you could see the Alps as you swim. The spa area was huge and so beautiful. Perfect place to relax — we were on our honeymoon and happy that there were no families with kids, only adults. Three minute walk to the lake. Thank you so much!

Love this hotel We have stayed here twice now and the staff and so friendly and helpful. They went totally above and beyond the call of duty to help us The food is absolutely amazing with portions that would feed a whole family. I would highly recommend this hotel. Top marks.

The location of the hotel is very central and therefore good for excursions or exploring the city. The food and breakfast is very good despite very large selection. The condition of the building and the rooms is negative — everywhere remnants of wall fixings, different flows or the taped shower enclosure.
