Just wanted to thank Shannon and Tate for such a great day when we came in for the bottomless brunch highly recommend the lamb halloumi salad, the salmon, salt & pepper squid and the baked Camembert. The staff are great here, so kind and lots of fun 🍸🍹 🍸

This has been my local for the last 11 years & I do like the Captain Stirling pub & most of the staff there.
But in the last few months the menu has become smaller & the food seems greasy.
My missus had grilled fish & chips tonight & the fish was so greasy that she left half of it. The salad which came with it was also greasy with no dressing.
I had the stirling burger & you do expect a bit of grease on a burger but this was dripping down my hands & although I did eat it all (I'm a guts) it was really disappointing as we've had some great food there in the past.
I think we might be giving it a miss for a while & try the new Hampton pub around the corner as we've just had to many bellow average meals there lately.

Nice food and welcoming atmosphere. Very hot in Perth, think the air-conditioning was over worked today as a bit stuffy.

Everything. The beer Garden is stunning peaceful and a nice happy place to spend an afternoon. Pls see my awesome review on Tripadvisor as we stayed 2 nights. Will be back soon.

Absolutely loved our stay here! the bar staff was very welcoming and friendly, the food was fantastic and cooked just how we liked it, the drinks were cold, atmosphere was great and the apartment suite was very spacious and modern. Well done guys. We will definitely be back.

Got a stake sandwich and a party with salad and chips… both were delicious, drinks are a bit $$$ but food was on point and staff were very friendly!

Good variety of beers on tap. Affordable spread of food on menu from small bites to mains. Hotel bar and restaurant meeting place in the neighbourhood. Billiards and pinball game add to friendly atmosphere. Lots of parking bays.

The Capatins Stirling hotel was a great place to chill and have a few drinks on a Monday night. Highly recommended.

This has to be the best place to be on a cold winters night, great food, cozy fire, and the warmest, friendliest service. Nothing is too much trouble, Les behind the bar always has a smile and very professional with the running of the bar (no waiting). There are lots of other hotels that would benefit from going in and seeing just how a hotel should be run! Check it out you will be amazed!

Average food with nice beer selection. Good live music on friday night. Nice and cozy atmosphere.

Had a work dinner the other night, food was amazing! Ribs are best ive had in a long time and so full of meat unlike a lot of other places. Staff were all great apart from our tables waiter who said it would take too long for her to bring our drinks to the table so we all had to go up to the bar to order. Abit inconvenient when we booked for a big group in a busy bar. Food is highly recommended here and very well priced too.

There was a group of last night our food was ok but the fish wasn't and the service was poor one of group member went ask if we could have service at our table finally we got the table cleared before our main meals came out I could understand if it was busy but it wasn't hopefully they read this and be on top of everything we won't be in hurry to go back that for sure.

I couldn’t help but smile with delight when I walked into this establishment! This is how a Tavern/Hotel should look! Good sized, quality bars with plenty of open area around them with seating capacity to spare. Restaurant was a nicely relaxing experience with the food and drinks delivered to table with a smoothness of service I haven’t experienced for awhile. Steak was nicely rare and my partners seafood perfect. Room was more ‘quaint ‘ than old, but the experience of staying in a basic tavern room instead of a 5 star plush hotel was very pleasant indeed. I’ll have to stay here again.

Normal price for pub burger but definitely lacking in quality. Happy to pay that price for good quality like some other places do. Would not recommend.

Cap S is a great traditional pub serving great food and with a decent selection of beers on tap. The staff here are always friendly and helpful. There's even a restaurant here if you're after an experience a bit classier. The function areas are also excellent and quite spacious.

Very clean and really friendly helpful staff. It's a little bit noisy but it's a pub! They are all noisy! Enjoyed my stay in the lovely old rooms.

Good, cheap accommodation close to Perth and Fremantle. Staff are friendly and customers are well looked after. The room I stayed in could use some work though. Very dark and dingy. Lighting in the bathroom made it near impossible to shower at night. Might also be nice to allow guests to opt out of daily towels? I was in a double so was getting 2 lots of everything every day. I would have been quite happy to hang my towel to dry each day :) Overall, great experience. Would definitely stay again (with my own light source! ).

Mi casa es tu casa, is the vibe I’m getting from my temporary home away from home here in Perth. It’s so cheap but there’s so much offered for the $59/night I paid. There’s free breakfast in the breakfast room (when ever you want), free Wi-Fi, room serviced daily, self service coin operated laundry, toiletries supplied, bar bistro and restaurant onsite (10% off meals for hotel guests), friendly and helpful staff etc etc. It’s also much cleaner and better maintained then I expected for the price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (for how cheap the rate is).

Better than what I expected from a cheap night. Lovely service/atmosphere. Shares bathrooms but no big deal cause I got a balcony! I like how its most communal. A+++++ thank you.

Had a great meal at the Captain on Boxing Day when pretty much everywhere else was closed. Great service with an extensive menu. Hard to choose but went with the 400g of Rump cooked to perfection and sauce served on the side as requested. The new manager Izzac Polglaze is certainly making a difference. We will be returning :)

I tried 3 times the food and it’s extremely bad. The last one was the fish and it cames with bones + the baby potatoes were burn. I got my $32.00 refund. Definitely no a place to go to eat.

Went to Captain Stirling for dinner and drinks with uni mates, grabbed a vehicle burger and chips. Drinks were cheaper than the tav/varsity, food was good, service was quick. Good choice for UWA students.

Excellent hidden gem. Grab a beer and watch the Glory, or enjoy a superb meal. The rooms are only average for an overnight stay unfortunately. Great staff!

Cameron is the best bar tender ever, he’s literally the best every wednesday! love him.

The Cap S is one of the few remaining traditional pubs in the western suburbs. You can watch footy in the back bar and the main bar, which is bright and airy, is mainly for dining. I like the sunny terrace the most. And the food menu is a nice mix of pub grub and fancier stuff. Hopefully this great old pub continues operating for many years to come.

It's been a long time since this venue was a university institution. Drinks are overpriced and overwatered, the overall atmosphere is unpleasant. There aren't enough customers that come here to make up for the short comings. The staff act like there's a thousand people inside. In reality you're better off drinking at your house or any other restaurant nearby.

Great beer. Rooms are most basic. Few with their own bathroom. Good food. Nearby convenience store and pharmacy. Friendly service. Good foŕ backpackers. Not a luxurious place. Yet friendly staff.

Nice classic pub, it's got some good meal deals and even has $6 pints all day Fridays and Saturdays. It is often packed with students on Wednesday nights.

Had a great spot next to the wood fire. Slow cooked brisket was delicious.

Meals were ok, but staff seemed a little annoyed when requesting extras with your meal. Location is great but overall service is average.

Cap s as it's commonly known, is an old local pub with a restaurant, pool tables, a courtyard and a function room, located in nedlands. The restaurant has specials most evenings and serves some pretty good food most of the time. It can seat around 40 or so inside but you are free to sit anywhere outside. The kitchen usually closes at 9 on weeknights. The sliders are particularly good. I'd recommend these and if you get the right night, the cheap steaks aren't bad either. The bar is pretty relaxed, they usually have the cricket or footy on and the service is generally pretty good. It can get a bit slow on busy nights, like anywhere. Sadly, drinks are becoming pretty expensive too. Some pints are 13-14aud! The bar can be pretty quiet at times. All up a solid local, that is always good for a meal and a couple of pints.

Ordered meals, 30 mins later waiter says no salmon left so ordered fish of the day. Another 30 mins had to remind waiter we had no meals yet. Meal arrived, you could have resoled your boots with the fish, never go back here. Did mention it to the waitress, but you guessed, shrug of the shouders. $60 waisted.

Marvellous. Although I've never actually stayed inside their hotel over night, what I can say is that this place has awesome food deals, awesome food and drink and I come here every couple months. I can't come here all the time but I'd definitely love to come here more often.

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at Captain Stirling Pharmacy. During an unplanned extended stay outside of Australia, it became necessary to request postage of my prescription medication to Ireland. The staff did everything in their power to help with any problems encountered during the process. I am especially grateful to Tom Andrews. Tom is highly proactive, and offered workable solutions to every obstacle encountered. Tom provided helpful advice, communicated with my doctor, even organised postage. I will only use Captain Stirling Pharmacy to fill my prescriptions for Dextroamphetamine. Six Stars! :-).

Great service, bed and glorious rm with spa. Spa slippery and dangerous. Bedroom needs darker drapes.

Awful! If you arrive at 8:30 don't expect food, and don't expect coffee after 9:15. Don't expect them to care either. Expect badly cooked overpriced food and wine served in a mausoleum, with loud irritating music. Suitable for cashed up pubescent males.

Good suburb, good people, good atmosphere for a quiet pint.

The food is average (don't get the pizza) but it's pub food so you can't expect much more. For a venue though, it has a great atmosphere and friendly staff.
