At approx 12 midnight on the 26th of August, a large bus load of masked travellers arrived at the hotel. In the morning there was a policeman making calls behind the counter. When questioned, the concierge stated it was not a quarantine hotel. The policeman continued to call guests from behind the counter on the hotel’s phones asking if they were still self isolating.

Fabulous staff who made our birthday weekend super special. The chef is brilliant and big thanks to Joshua in the restaurant for his awesome service. We will be back.

A massive Thankyou to Kerry who absolutely made my husbands day, walking in to the room and having a surprise ready for him for his 40th was so appreciated, Thankyou so much Kerry, you went above and beyond, and was an awesome start to a very enjoyable stay at the Mantra on Hay.

Not the newest hotel in the Accor chain but definitely great value for money, very clean great facility highly recommend.

Great hotel in Perth :) definitely our family destination from now on. Quick Tips : check last minute booking and the on-site building will beat or match the price :).

Room are clean and the staff are lovely nice smell in the hotel. The pool was half empty, not enough parking and lots of people in the front lobby drinking and smoking and fighting and lots of druggies people. We had somebody docking on my hotel door at 5.30am could do with night security it's not safe.

Comfortable beds spacious rooms kitchen facilities. Customer service excellent very friendly.

Would not recommend. spoke to reception 3 days before about a room change and was told availability and when I saw staff member it would be taken care of. For a room downgrade room. arrived and told there was no notes on system, was told had to pay full rate for three nights. Just ridiculous when there is 'plenty'of avaliblity. And for a corporate client as well? would of expected ALOT better. plus table was filthy — aircon vents look like they have never been cleaned, which is probably why the room smells stale and Wet.

Infested with cockroaches absolutely disgusting, we walked into our room there was couple
Cockroaches on the table then opened the cupboards they were riddled, I called reception straight away and she didn’t even apologise she said come down and we will change rooms I will never stay here again it’s un hygiene snd very bad service.

Four stars for a four star hotel. The room we had was nice but the ground floor hallway needs a lot of work to inspire you.

Very near to Perth CBD, receptionist is very friendly and helpful. All kitchen amenities is prepared for you. Very easy accessible to anywhere. The buses here will bring you everywhere. Walking distance to Barrack Street Jetty and Elizabeth Quay.

Found the Hotel location very good, Beautiful rooms, Staff Friendly Car Park prices nearly 25% of hotel room price which I think is over the top. Paying your Security Deposit? They take it from you at check in and then I'm informed it could take a week to return in my account? Seriously got to look at the things that deter customers coming back and that's the Deposit Fiasco and the Gold Member Parking Prices.

Of all the Mantra hotels that I have stayed at, this one is the best by far. Friendly staff that know how to spoil you. Lovely spacious balcony rooms and the food at the restaurant is good home cooking with a special flare and touch. This has become my go to hotel for Perth visits.

Would give 1/2 star if was an option. Would not recommend this to anyone! What I paid for ($1800 for 9 days) and what I saw advertised on their site was definitely not what I got. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. "Fully" Self-contained apartments were a let down. Amenities they offered such as plates, cooking items, etc were a let down and did not even cover basics, no frypans, tongs or even a decent cutting knife. Fridge was broken shelves all cracked and couldn't be used and wouldn't keep cool unless tinted to maximum cool setting. The dishwasher was so gross it had scum and old food in there! the shower and bath weren't clean and even though serviced daily I had to complain and specifically request it be cleaned. There was mould on roof in bathroom and "king" bed was two singles joined together. But they didn't put a topper over it so you felt the join again. I had to request to have to made properly! Air-con in bedrooms didn't work and even in lounge barely felt it. Room service was overpriced and disappointing. Hot chips were cold and soggy by time got delivered, beef jerky seemed store bought and caramel popcorn was two handfuls and not very nice. Pool was cold and half full although advertised as heated and "full" gym was 6 items, two treadmills, 2 bikes, an overall weight machine and a leg press. Parking under hotel was a rip off at $25/day.

We had a three bedroom apartment. While it was very comfortable and extremely roomy, the decor was a little bit old and air con a bit temperamental. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low too. The kitchen in the apartment looked very new and was well equipped. Pool and gym looked decent and the coffee from the bar was great.

Friendly, helpful staff. The room was a bit disappointing, although the bed was large and comfortable. The in-house music was annoyingly loud. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

The restaurant food is the best ive ever eaten but the hotel is the most unclean iv ever seen, rooms are a bit rundown but they have a nice layout and function well enough. 0 /10 cleanliness overall 5/10 mainly due to the restaurants breakfast buffet being second to none.

Great reception staff. Complimenting their toiletries, I received an extra on departure. Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Location excellent for eateries and transfer to the airport by bus. No need for a shuttle or taxi. Swam laps in their pool. Pool towels provided. We would stay there again for sure.

Great location, 2brm apartment perfect for a family, all the amenities, comfy beds and shower passed the height test by 6ft 4 hubby who usually has to deal with showerheads being at shoulder height.

Our favourite Perth motel to stay at when we don't have a great deal to spend. Their apartment rooms are so comfortable are the decor is beautiful. For a couple of hundred dollars you even get your own washing machine and dryer. Tucked away in the kitchen made to look like a walk in pantry. Most rooms have balconies and all are very tasteful.

Room size is great, location is good. Parking could be cheaper but still not too bad. Breakfast was awesome.

Nice small conference centre with easy access to the street, cafe and toilets. Friendly staff and a good catering service. Would recommend for a 10-50 sized conference or seminar in the Blackburne room.

Stayed in the 2 bed, 2 bath apartment. Quite large and spacious and well worth the price we paid. Location is quite close to the free CAT bus stops, very convenient for travelling around the CBD.

It's very nice. Our suite has a laundry machine and dryer. It's clean and very nice. The employees are also very courteous and helpful.

Room was good staff happy bit of a mix up with adding an extra night but it was sorted. Would stay again.

This place looks like it has not been upgraded since the 70's, never again.

Just stayed here over night, what a brilliant hotel. Everything was clean and tidy very spacious. The only thing to let it down was the room was not very child safe. There was no chain lock on the front door. The two year old could just open the door. And the sliding door to the balcony would of been better with a lock at the top of the door. The pool was beautiful and relaxing kids had a great time.

Stayed here for a week. Great for small families. This place must have been renovated/refurbished in recently. We got the 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. The room was exactly as shown in the photos. It had full kitchen with all the utensils, cups, plates, bowls, knives, pots & pans etc. A big dinner table, Washer & Dryer, Microwave, Oven, Fridge, Kettle and a huge living area. If I had one complaint, it would be the bathroom — I would prefer a proper shower cubicle to a tub with shower. Service wise, no complaints at all. The receptionists in the lobby were all friendly and helpful. Always smiling and ready to assist. If you're planning on cooking during your stay, there are 3 supermarkets within walking distance from here; Carlton Fresh, Golden Hay Supermarket and RISE. Golden Hay even sells Halal chicken! All three sells selected vegetables, rice, pasta etc. If you prefer takeout, there a Thai, Malaysian/Singaporean and Halal Kebab joint at Carlton Fresh Market diagonally across the Mantra on Hay. Free CAT bus stops also runs on Hay Street. Carlton (Stop No. 5) is the closest to the Mantra. You can take the CAT and it can connect you to the trains and other bus services. At first we thought we would have to rent a car to get around to all the attractions in town, but turns out we didn't have to. We got to most of the places in town by public transport. Plus parking is not easy in town not to mention expensive.

We organised a large family breakfast at Mantra on Hay and it was wonderful. The staff were professional & kind. The food was delicious and abundant. Would highly recommend this for any large or group bookings xx.

I stayed at Mantra on Hay with my family for a one night stay over the weekend. The twin apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. For a family the hotel has a good location, close enough to the CBD but far enough away to be quiet. On a downside the hotel decor is dated and the bar was closed over lunch time, I expected a little more luxury for the price we paid.

Was ok. Rooms although look like they have modernised they are still very dated. They are also a bit on the small size. Does the job, but not walking away with memories.

It takes alot for me to leave a negative review because I always try to find the good in everything. But this stay was bad. To set the scene I was in a double with no balcony on the fifth floor. The room was like a hotel chain had given up on life and decided to stay in the 90's. It probably hasnt been properly cleaned since the place opened. The exhaust on the heater was filthy, the grout in the bathroom was yellow and fingerprints over every shiny surface. There was a mirrored wardrobe that was cracked with silver Gaffa tape barely holding it together, the paint in bathroom was peeling off the roof and the carpet had pulls around all the edges like someone had had a cat in there on heat. Now this room was not enough for me to write this. Why yes in fact it got worse with the food. There is no room service after 9:30 so on the first night fate kept me from the food. The second night, I was not so fortunate. The Menu looked great and I felt like Italian so I ordered the gnocchi expecting small little pillows of potato covered with all the trimmings. I anxiously awaited my Italian delite and when it arrived I whipped off the the platter to discover corksized potato balls with the same density as a half cooked carrot. The zucchini was burnt and the puree microwaved. This meal or the angels set me back $35 including the room service charge. The one thing that is this hotel saving grace is the front of house staff.

Great value for money, the apartments are huge. Close to public transport Parking is $25 per night, bar also has happy hours and cocktail specials Breakfast was also included and was very good with many options, although even on a Sunday it ends at 10. Would stay again.

The hotel is away from the city which is good if u wanna escape the city noise but still close enough to the free public transport. Staff is amazing and the rooms are very good.

Godd location walking distance from city centre. Penthouse is large with nice view. Service is great.

I'll just say it how it is: stayed in 2 bedroom apartment for 3 days/ don't be fooled by the luxury website pics its definitely not the 4 star's it states.
— Wi-Fi wasn't working at all and $20 a day?
— The pool was only maybe half a metre high full of water and pool walls were mouldy/pics to prove it — not heated an no spa like they told us
— Gym equipment was broken
— Double bed was hard an stiff, single beds were comfy tho
— TV was broken, after forth attempt staff finially sorted it partly altho continued to switch off regularly.
— Dryer was broken an kept cutting out and didn't dry
— iron was broken an leaking everywhere, staff replaced it thankfully
— Kettle leaked water everywhere continously, so couldn't use it.
— parking $25 a day, really?
The room was spacious, yood location and heaters worked well that's about the only good of it.
Definitely won't be returning.

Such a great place for the price given. The apartments were clean and had everything that was needes to stay there. Staff were friendly and breakfast taste good, had your standard foods. Will stay here again in future.

Room was nice, contained two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, kitchen and laundry. The door system had not worked properly during our entire stay. Required new keys once a day, as the locks were very temperamental.

We enjoyed staying here. Facilities were good and the location was close to amenities and public transport. Having a pool to use was enjoyable too. The only downside was that internet and parking cost extra. Overall definitely worth staying here.

I was in Perth on business from the US, and my company set me up here for a week during mid-July. The service was excellent! Room was clean and large with a nice open layout. Despite being in the CBD, not a lot of noise got into the room. The location of the hotel is great. It's a short walk to Langley Park and several great restaurants and pubs. Less than half of a block away, there's a stop for the Red Cat bus. The Red Cat (along with other Cat buses) are free and go all over the CBD, including the rail station. I think the only negative would be the price. While it is quite reasonable for the CBD, it is still quite high for Perth as a whole.
