Great night at the Wintersun tonight. It was packed out and crazy busy so the staff were swamped but still had excellent table service and meals were all spot on. 10/10 thank you.

Went last night for dinner the service was amazing Marg is a true asset however the surf n turf special (was actually only a Mignon and some prawns with pepper sauce) was terrible cooked wrong twice and the prawns both times were like rubber, strongly recommended avoiding this special.

We have recently relocated back to Geraldton and have had 3 meals at the Wintersun celebrating our birthdays and have been disappointed every time. Last night our salads were served with dry rotten beetroot. The quality of the previous meals have been dry, not cooked to order, rotten smelling steak and overall disappointing. As an old favourite place to enjoy a meal we gave the venue the benefit of the doubt that maybe the chef had the night off or it was a new chef however after 3 bad meals in a row we will not be returning.

The food has gone down hill very disappointed the new menu is crap not much to choose from same with the kids meals now very disappointed use to be really good.

Would just like to say Nat your bartender was absolutely incredible tonight. Went above and beyond non stop even remembered our order after one drinks order. Was fun bubbly and extremely friendly. Made the experience so much more welcoming and friendly. She definitely deserves a well done because coming from experience that is one amazing barmaid!

We enjoyed are meals two times now would definitely go back great family and all around area to enjoy peace and space! Food was great value.

Nice clean room and comfortable bed, heaps of locals drinking and yelling outside the rooms watching football till nearly midnight, not a place to relax and get a good nights sleep, stayed two nights and staff were very nice but think you need a new Chef. Food very bland (deep fried schnitzel) and small portions for the price. Would never stay there again would rather sleep in my car.

Nice neat family friendly caravan park. Close to the beach is great fun for the family.

The NightCap Hotel is perfect to stay when visiting town, clean and affordable. Food is amazing. Anything you get on the menu, your bound to be impressed with. Affordable drinks. Some of the best customer service in this town. They go above and beyond for your needs. Amanda, Sonia and Kyson will look after you exceptional well.

Clean accommodation, affordable meals, kid friendly and great service! So happy places like this still exist!

Meals are beautiful… the chef at the moment is doing a good job! Cannot recommend the fish tacos enough! Best in town Lauren was a stand out too… thank you we will be back!

Good food and fantastic service!
After a not so good night out at the Wintersun we were invited back to give them another try and I’m so glad they did.
Great food, large servings, great meal deals for different nights and extremely friendly staff who couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming.
We have been back 5 times since and every visit has been just as good, happy to say we are now Wintersun regular’s.

Food was terrible. The service was terrible. Was utterly disappointed in with the whole experience and the food was way over priced for what we recieved. In future people should go the geraldton hotel the food and service is outstanding.

Have always put off having Ribs because the couple ive had over the years have been crap… but knock me down with a feather the missus bought some tonight and I thought id give em a crack… well bugger me they were absolutely fantastic, tasty, tender and the bone just fell out… awesome guys Highly recommend the BBQ ribs… woohoo.

The food, we always go on a friday for lunch. Staff are always helpful and smiling.

Fantastically friendly staff and cheap beer at the pub BUT the Wi-Fi is choppy and the food is terrible. Their curry on curry night is probably one of the worst I've ever had; the sauce was watery and the meat (turkey? ) Was tough and fatty. On the bright side, the breakfast buffet is pleasant, if simple.

For the room we had to share with our friends we had to go through sir bedroom to go to the toilet and bathroom. The door to the bathroom/toilet was hard to open when shut as we found out when the girls were stuck in that room. The location is outside of Geraldton which is fine.
Probably won’t be back. The staff were great.

Yummy Food, cheap meals, great for family's with small children. Have a inside playground with tables around to watch the littlies. Good atmosphere.

The Wintersun is a very nice place to eat. There is a fun area for the kids to play and play out their energy after an amazing meal. The staff are extremely friendly and service is heckin quick with huge portions for the price you pay.

Great area for kids to play. Understaffed, poor lady was taking orders and serving drinks, customers were waiting a while and one was unnecessarily rude to her, you could clearly see she was busy. Food portions were large, kids fish chips and salad looked delicious. My food was nice but a little too salty. Overall a pleasant evening. Lost a star after staying the night here. Rooms are old and dirty. Someone's shaved hairs were still in the bathroom. Had to park car too far away from room. Neighbours were very noisy, could hear all talking and snoring. Fridge wasn't on in the room so it was hot and pointless for our drinks. TV randomly turned on in the middle of the night and the bathroom door was really hard to open once closed. We also booked and paid for 3 guests and only had 2 towels in the room. Too many little annoyances just added up to an unpleasant stay. It's a shame because staff here are so helpful and friendly.

Loved the manager guy who's name escapes me. He checked us in with great vibes and a smile at 11 pm after a long drive. Perfect for a nap after a looking drive. Small TV.

The place is old but the room was fine especially for the price however the alcohol was so expensive that we limited our drinks. Also had dinner in the restaurant, customer service on the night was a little lacking.

What a wonderful meal. They never disappoint. Pork ribs to die for, beautifully cooked and melt in your mouth. Also the seafood basket… Yum… Too much for me. Thank you again for another beautiful meal.

Normally 10/10. Last night very poor. Nothing but complaints from people even regulares all waiting for service. All waiting with empty beer glasses. Hopefully just a one of.

Needs up-dating badly, carpet dirty, old and stained, bedding was clean tho, photos on booking site do not match actual place, staff were lovely, friendly people tho and meals from restaurant were not bad, but the noise from other people outside the rooms was terrible, won't get a good night sleep! If they have no respect for other people staying there!, if you are a non-smoker and people staying next door are! If they are Sitting at tables outside rooms smoke filters into your room, through gaps in the door, even with your door shut and all you can smell is cigarette smoke! No Security after hours number either if you do have any dramas! Sadly to say for what you pay even on cheap rates, $99, rates per night are still too much for what you get or may have to put up with!

Room was great value. Restaurant really good. Not playground for the kids. Would stay again!

Food tick, staff service tick, variety tick. I choose the Wintersun over all restaurants in Geraldton because you know your going to get what you want. If you want stuffed quail it is probably the wrong place to take the wife for the anniversary, that is if you have your nose up your butt. Caters for any gig. Staff have never responded badly to any query and are always happy to help. Chuck in a massive variety of quality cold beers and every type of sport you could hope for (and the staff are happy to put on what you want to watch) it is a match made in heaven. Community minded by supporting local sports clubs and discounts for members. It’s without a doubt the best pub in the Midwest!

Rubbish they gave me aoili with my fish n chips instead of tartare then they tried to convince me it was tartare.

Well equipped, clean rooms and friendly service. There aren't a huge amount of options in Geraldton but this provides good value plus there's an attached restaurant and bar (and even TAB if that's your thing). I frequently travel to Geraldton for business and will definitely stay here again.

Winterson for lunch. Had the seafood basket. Only because they don't do the fish and chips with grilled fish. So tried it anyways. Was very greasy I have been here many times and the food is getting worse. Think I'll have to find a new place for Sunday lunch.

Has everything you might need for a night's stay and it was the cheapest place in Geraldton at $100. Includes a basic breakfast (toast, cereal, yoghurt). Restaurant, pool, bar and bottle shop on site. Walls are paper thin.

Had lunch on a Sunday. Was quite busy, but service was quick. Kids loved the playground. Our food was amazing!

24 hr motel but no one mans it. After waiting at the door in the freezing cold staring at an empty desk I was forced to go round inside the bar having to dodge drunk people to get to it. Have to yell over the bar to counter loud music. Told to go back outside to the freezing cold to wait for someone. Di was unapologetic. Said oh is it locked? (YOU KNEW IT WAS) barely told where my room was. That was a search and a half. Plus side room was nice. Cars broken into over night. Left as soon as we could next morning, lucky because we weren't told when check out was. After a 12 hr drive what an ordeal. Would have rather slept in the car.

Room was clean and tidy. Wouldn't really recommend rooms for young families as walls are very thin. There is a play area in the dining room and a good pool.

Absolutely great food and staff, personally my favorite pub in town with the cheap lunches and great dinner deals.

Horrible. Can not order a scotch and water unless the bar person fills glass with water (This is Hotel policy). Could not get lunch order correct. There was no salad dressing for the salad. Will never go there again.

Visiting my parents here in Geraldton Im from Rockingham and have to say the best pub grub I've had in a while. My husband had a fabulous surf and turf and I had the crocodile bacon mignon. Fast friendly service, well priced and fresh tasty food. Highly recommend for a meal.

I really love the Wintersun Hotel restaurant. Good old pub food with lovely service and a good restaurant. Very nice.

Find the Wintersun enjoyable everytime I go there. Food, service and drinks are always awesome.

Great place to have lunch and dinner. Would only enquire about how their lunch ends at 2:30pm and might not get your lunch special.

The experience itself was not too bad and expected of a motel but the appliances were really stained and dirty and the carpets were quite stained. The doors were a pain, not enough power outlets for thier own appliances and the room had that damp kinda smell to it. Rooms arnt excessively cheep either but I guess its whats available. When all others were booked.

Went for dinner and drinks on a Thursday night, we both ordered steak, I asked for some butter on the side which the manager brought out himself which was nice. My steak was medium while my partners was medium well, mine was cold and unenjoyable like they had just left it sitting out while finishing the other one. Long wait at bar for drinks, there were only two servers, I assume was under staffed. Overall was disappointed.

We went to the restaurant there for my daughter's birthday, the food was really magnificent. The pub was bustling with life and kids, the kids were off enjoying the playground and we had a fantastic time. To make it all the more special, I signed my daughter up with the kids club and her meal came free having paid for mine! So fantastic. The Wintersun is my favourite pub!

For a old hotel it is very comfortable and clean. The staff are great, service fine, the food is very tasty. We have stayed there many times passing through Geraldton.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The food and service of the bar and restaurant staff was of the highest quality.

Worst hotel ive ever stayed at. Rooms were of very poor quality. TV had poor reception. Fridge theromstat not working correctly freezing anything you placed insite. Lack of spare toilet paper in the toilet. Fixtures and furishings very cheep. Patrons were low lives who were load until early hours of the morning with violent altercations occuring. At one point police were required and I was trapped in my room with a brawl occuring just outside my room. Many more respectable patrons were abruptly and unpleasently wakened.
