Only had dinner here. Most other places in town were closed for the public holiday. best steak ever. wasnt cheap, but worth every penny. this chef knows how to cook.

Went for breakfast on Sunday morning (just two of us). Nice atmosphere but that’s about the only positive note. There were just two girls working at front of house (one making coffees and another waiting on tables). We ordered our food and coffee before a group of four ordered theirs, yet they received theirs well and truly before us (also hot food). Our coffee was served, although the waitress only brought one out, not two as ordered. My meal was very ordinary — two very thin pieces of sourdough toast with avocado and a VERY small amount of cold scrambled eggs. My husband waited another five minutes for his, after asking when his was going to be served. According to the waitress “there had been a malfunction in the order and we’ve been smashed this morning. ”. When she did bring it to him she said “here ya go mate”. Maybe we just went on an off day, but we definitely won’t be returning.

Disappointed to be honest, was told chef and food is fantastic. I ordered the steak sandwich as I thought the price of a Surf and Turf at $57 was very overpriced. Burger and sandwich came out 20mins apart! Then it was a roll not sandwich, Turkish bread was thick and stale. Not much to make up for with an average steak and fillings. At $43 for a sandwich and pint of cider 😞 expected better. Accomodation is very average with lights broken, a rusty towel rail, a shower curtain. A timber rod in the window for security and a fridge that wasn’t even cold enough to keep my drink cool! All in what they call deluxe motel room!

A funky vibe, lovely staff, yummy food, good/affordable/clean rooms and a fantastic regional music venue that supports live music in a big way! Definitely worth supporting… Six Degrees has it's heart in the right place.

Food was awful, staff were lovely beautiful place.

Be careful while eating food half way eating a parmigiana and it was raw luckily partner saw it before I ate it staff offered another parmigiana or drink but still not happy especially after what I paid for it.

We came here a few years ago and had a great meal so brought our daughters here for their birthdays. We had 6 meals and not one of them was good. Pork belly was over cooked and burnt, bao buns were hard and pork belly inside was soggy, the fish and squid didn’t taste fresh, it tasted like it had been frozen. We left and went to IGA to get a dessert. We won’t go there again.

Service was terrible, our paid order was lost and we had to wait a long time for our meals. Some staff need more training.

Food was full of different flavours absolutely fantastic. The service was prompt, the waitress was a Russian lady, her knowledge and sales technique was pretty good.
She recommended the wine, main meal and desert, she was spot on.
One of the best meals during our visit to Albany.

Nice enough bar, pleasant staff and a good range of drinks. Only the stars though as I feel they (the owners) are not really making an effort. Prime location overlooking the harbour and the place just oozes hangover rather than party.

Its just too small! This is a fairly new pub in Albany and everyone loves it, the issue with this is that its small and there is not enough room for everyone who wants to be there. The food is great, burgers or quesadillas, take your pick. Live music most weekends, but a bit too loud, especially if you are there for a meal. Lovely decorations and prices are pretty good.

Had the fish n chips fish cooked perfectly and dressed just right. Definitely recommend getting a feed from here.

A really pleasant evening at a well managed pub. Lovely atmosphere and some good entertainment while we were there. Beer was good but expensive for UK visitors — not even London can compare. Food was tasty though sadly the rump steak burrito was well filled with rice and not much steak. Overall a good experience.

Pretty average food with decent beer selection. Had a burrito that was tasty. Another in our party had a burger that was $20+, but when asked for tomato sauce they charged $1, then gave a tiny squirt (less than a pie squeeze packet). Tight-arsitude on the sauce lost them a star in my book.

There is a great lunch menu here. Burgers to steak, burritos and salads. Gluten free options. Beautiful chips. Fair prices, not cheap. Though I've always felt I've got my money's worth. They've created an awesome atmosphere here, with their decorating. Great upcycling ideas in and out. Plenty of space inside and out. The staff have always been friendly. The kids menu is cool how they get to choose. Alcohol, coffee, juices, softdrinks available. Nice view of the harbor and Entertainment centre. Parking out back is usually the safest bet. Never had to book.

Super nice place. Very well decorated, really nice atmosphere. Burger very good but a little greasy, I am not accustomed I had a little trouble to digest it. Lively place I enjoyed. We can also enjoy the terrace, when it's good it's top.

Budget accommodation for a reason. Lovely views and clean bed. Zero accessibility for disability even for rear motel rooms. Booking sites don't explain that there is loud DJs, music, smoke and booze till 12am+ in the morning then starts again at 7am on weekends. Booze and smoke goes straight up the staircase to the bedrooms, (although lots of air freshener is used to try and disguise it. ) 1 male, 1 female shared bathrooms per floor with no where to place clothes, 1 shared kettle for the floor. The final straw was no rear access to the carpark. Checkout was 10am, access to rear carpark opened at 11am with no flexibility and often blocked for private parties etc. Very difficult to load and unload baggage and elderly patrons. Irish gentleman at the desk was lovely at check-in, a different man at checkout was less helpful.

We went here twice on our Albany holiday and both times the meals were amazing. Once for breakfast and had perfect scrambled eggs and mushrooms and once with dinner. My pork ribs was much better than the steakhouse we went to the night before and my husband was raving about the blend of flavours in his hamburger. Highly recommend!

Great pub meal! I was given a perfectly rare steak after ordering it which doesn't happen in a log of supposedly good restaurants. Prawns and calamari tasted so fresh and meal size was reasonable! Surf and Turf for the win! Chicken parmigiana was nothing amazing. Chicken was juicy and not dry but seriously lacked the tomatoey goodness. Maybe some fresh cherry tomatoes and relish would help sweeten this dish! Would return again!

Truly outstanding customer service at both hostel and a bar! We enjoyed comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, delicious food, as well as a mix of a modern and cozy style of the hostel's and bar's interiors. Try Surf 'n' turf if you are looking for a steak for dinner!

I almost wish I could review the accommodation and the pub separately. Drinks, food and atmosphere were great! We crashed here on Easter Monday after travelling 600km. Grabbed a room titled "Double room with the harbour views" for $99 a night. Let's just say. The tiny room could have been cleaner. I would appreciate clean linen not just the sheets changed. (duvet cover was a re-use) yuk. Stay there with caution and lower expectations. Anyway. This should not take away from the lovely staff in the food area and a very talented Chef who designed the yummy menu.

From the second I walked in I loved the place!
The decor is so urban and fresh. Definately creating a warm inviting feeling instantly.
The service was wonderful and the food was amazing.
I would recommend to anyone to give it a try… you won't be disapointed.

Really clean modern rooms, looked more like a hotel than a hostel, large communal space, sink to make cup of tea and coffee in the morning at the end of the hall way, definitely would stay here again!
