A stunning peaceful retreat. Our second time here. It is a tonic from the stress of city life. Beautifully appointed studios with cooking facilities, allows you to spend the day relaxing, having a wonderful massage, & soaking in the view over the Mount Buffalo range from your verandah.

What a truly magnificent place to stay. You feel like there is just the 2 of you there. Beautifully designed. Wake up with the views of woodlands from a huge bed. Cater for dietary requirements. All amenities included with a very spacious bathroom. Totally recommend.

My new husband and I have just left our week long honeymoon at The Buckland Studios and we are already talking about our plans to return. We stayed in studio 2 which was beautifully appointed with everything we could need (recommend potentially staying in studio 5 if you want a full kitchen for a longer stay, but I really wanted the stunning wellness bathroom). The included breakfast hamper and ammenities were more than generous and I had fun whipping up cafe style breakfasts each morning. Mel and Dave made sure we had everything we needed and were only a message away to help or top up supplies. We opted to have treatments with Mel and her team and can honestly say they were some of the best massages/ facials we have had and the friendliness and welcoming vibe was an added highlight. The views from our studio were incredible and changed everyday with the weather. The Buckland is everything you could want in a luxury stay without being pretentious. A true home away from home. Thank you Mel & Dave we loved our stay and will be back.

This was our second visit to Buckland Studio and again we stayed in studio 3. We had 5 amazing nights and felt right at home! Although everything was contactless from check in to checkout, it didn’t ruin our stay at all. I admit, I was a bit anxious about it at the beginning as I enjoyed the dining area and meeting the hosts and guests the first time we visited but honestly we prob enjoyed it more this time. We had a beautiful breakfast filled with delicious and local goodies. We got tx messages from Melany checking if we needed a top up which we appreciated hugely. Everything was so smooth! The studio is very comfortable and comes with all the amenities to make your stay as luxury and comfortable. The views are jaw dropping and we loved looking down at Buckland from mount buffalo. Quite spectacular! We particularly loved the fireplace on the cold, wet days. On top of that, loveee the new bbq. Made cooking relaxing and enjoyable. Buckland studio truly holds a special place in our hearts. We will be back!

Where to begin.
A beautiful private and personal experience. The perfect little getaway in the region with modern finishes. Amazing views with just a 10 minute drive into the heart of Bright.
If you appreciate the country and all it has to offer highly recommend the Buckland Studios.
As busy parents of young children we can confirm we had a lot of time to relax and we are now fully recharged and ready for our beautiful kids work and play.
Mel and David are super efficient and so easy to be in contact with.
Highly recommended.

What a lovely experience. Even with changes due to Covid-19, everything was just right. The bush land, the amenities and the views! Thanks, Melany and David. Just superb.

We stayed at the Buckland Studios last weekend and loved it! the communication from Melany leading up to the date was fantastic.
The complimentary breakfasts supplied were delicious.
The Studio itself was beautiful, we couldn't of asked for a more perfect stay!

We stayed two nights in studio 1 and loved it. A lovely location with beautiful views of the mountains. The view from the bath straight into bushland is also gorgeous. The studio was spotlessly clean and very cosy. Breakfast hamper was delicious and hosts were lovely and welcoming, Highly recommend, we will be back!

We recently enjoyed 4 nights in studio 5. We were wowed from the first moment to the last. Sweeping views, gorgeously appointed, spacious, and private. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the local area. David and Melany are amazing hosts, thoughtful with great local insights and the smallest details are thought of. Breakfast was a highlight, we looked forward to seeing what treats David has baked each morning!
We stayed during a time of fire risk and David and Melany kept us up to date with regular information so that we felt safe at all times.

Melany and Dave are amazing thoughtful. We arrived in the early evening on Christmas Day to a perfectly chilled bottle of bubbles, a stunning bouquet of flowers, the air con on, and a box of chocolates. What more could you ask for? The studio is immaculately designed with incredible furnishings, and the view is stunning. It’s the perfect retreat for relaxing and I’m so looking forward to the next few days ❤️

It felt like home! Amazing bathroom with bath tube and 2 showers. The entire place is easily heated up with the fireplace. We were here in the middle of winter and was hit with rain and hail but it was really warm with just the fireplace. There’s an air con but it’s not really needed. The kitchen has everything you need. Even a dishwasher. There’s salt, pepper, pan and pot for cooking but remember to bring some butter or cooking oil. Everything was neat and clean. The bed was so comfy.

Amazing getaway location. One of those rare places where you instantly feel excited and relaxed at the same time. Exceptional views, all the creature comforts — everything has been thought of by the lovey hosts. Will definitely be back!

The location is stunning and the accommodation is immaculate. Beautiful self-contained studios with views of the valley with Mt Buffalo in the background. The studios are set apart from each other enough to guarantee privacy and one's own personal view of the landscape. Breakfast was included in our stay. Cereal, fresh fruit, espresso coffee, with bacon and eggs made to order. Hit the spot.

The studios are gorgeous and secluded with plenty of space, lovely views, a huge comfy bed, and beautiful open bathroom. Breakfast each day has a nice homey feel and was great. Would love to stay again!

We had the pleasure of staying at, The Buckland Retreat. I had initially booked the retreat in Studio 2, as a birthday present for my husband last month, but we couldn't make it due to work commitments. I contacted Sabine, she was really understanding and she helped me rebook the same studio at different dates, without any rebooking fee. The retreat is just so beautiful with picturesque surrounds, and the studio is just perfect, with so much detail. Definitely recommended for a romantic getaway! Would return :)

I can't comprehend how somebody could rate The Buckland one star. From the moment we entered the valley we were relaxed. Once we got to our accommodation we had everything we needed and a view that we just looked at for hours. We just kept to ourself and enjoyed the privacy. Thank you for a great couple of days and we will be sure to see you again.
