Belltower Motor Inn

A great little motel on the edge of Shepparton. Room was comfortable, bed was comfy, shower hot and good pressure.
Easy check in and out.
Great for weary travelers.

Location 👍 rooms 🤔. But when we request to extend our stay for another 7 hours we were told to pay the full amount of $123. Compared to other hotels which is only $60 for 7 hours extension.
Plus why doesn’t anyone answer the office door and it’s always locked 😤😤

Do not stay at this motel!
I had a real bad experience! I actually had to help a female delivery driver from being attacked by an intoxicated tenant. He refused to pay for his alcohol and shoved the lady and stole the alcohol from her then closed his door.
The room I stayed in had dirty pillowcases with makeup on it, it wasn’t my makeup!
Why advertise for a cafe restaurant when there nothing like this available. No breakfast!
I called the reception to ask about breakfast and was told we don’t do breakfast before I could ask for a place where I could get breakfast, the phone went dead.
Furthermore, the towels were stinky and threadbare, I had asked for 2 more towels and didn’t get them!
The motel appears to be a place for homeless people waiting to be housed.
The coffee/tea and biscuits were very minimal. One tiny soap for 2 people for 2 nights, no shampoo/conditioner or body wash.
Broken glass where I had to park my car, it was never cleaned up. The dumpster bins were over flowing with rubbish. It was disgraceful.
I cannot recommend staying at this motel and I cannot rate it!

Nice and quiet place to stay in for a few days if you don’t want to spend too much. Nice small pool and parking spaces in front of the rooms.

The rooms are very old and not clean. Bed uncomfortable and the towels smelt so bad that I needed to have another shower to get rid of the smell. The after house staff were great but I truly can't recommend this place at all.

My husband and I have traveled to many places, but this hotel was truly awful. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk door was locked, no one answered the doorbell, and no one answered the phone for a long time. The room key was just carelessly left under the carpet by the room door. We couldn't sleep all night because we were itchy all over. Maybe the blankets or sheets were dirty? We will never come here again; it was too filthy!

They called us 3 days before the shepperton cup to tell us they made a mistake and double booked us even though we booked and paid well prior. They did not care one bit and this has happened in the past if you read other reviews. I would not recommend as very unpredictable.

Do not stay here. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING A ROOM HERE.
Booked a room at the Bell tower a year ago, received a call yesterday to advise they had double booked our room which was booking for this coming weekend. We are visiting Shepparton for an event and we have no accommodation now. There was no communication from the owners Gangam and Sunny I had to call them multiple times across the last 24 hours. I had to deal with booking. Com directly. There is absolutely no care factor, if you look at their reviews they have done this multiple times in the past. A horrendous way to manage a business and absolute disappointment.
DO NOT STAY HERE AND GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. There are other much more descent and trustworthy motel/ hotel businesses in this area that deserve your business.

For the price point this is a great place to stay. Owner/Manager got out of bed to let me stay overnight at 11:30 pm, due to change of travel plans on my part. Rooms are large, well heated, loads of hot water, clean linen, good quality tea and coffee (yes some still use Internation Roast, but not here) late check-out was a bonus. I'll be back 👍😀

The staff would not refund our booking even though we booked for the ballarat bell tower hotel not the shepparton hotel as they are same bussiness name.
Even though we didnt check in or not use the room and we have never been to shepparton before so why would we even book there as we always booked at the ballarat hotel.

Great here, I try and stay here whenever I'm/or we're in Shepparton, close to everything nice friendly staff,
Nice and cheap but rooms are great 👍.
Highly recommended to book here.
My Grown up Kids come and stay here, my good friend and Ex Husband stays here too.
Rooms are big bed/couch 2x desks,
Netflix and Utube etc, beds comfortable.
Ashtrays if your a smoker, which my Partner is, he's very happy 😊

Arrived at 5pm to find the reception closed at 4.30. Called the after hours number to gain access to the 2 rooms we had booked 2 months in advance. Only to be told that they had no booking. Turns out they had taken our money, cancelled our booking and re booked the rooms to others. Leaving us without accomodation for 6 nights as it was kings birthday weekend and alot of places booked out.

We booked a year ago 2 rooms for 2 days. We called 6 months out and increased to 3 rooms for 2 days. We called 2 months out to ask if the had a 4th room and to confirm our current booking. We checked in and were told nothing about our stay only being 1 day in their system. I called mid afternoon to ask why only charged one day. Then I got told he has to speak to his manager and get back to me. Well he did not get back to me with an answer, next day I find out that we have to leave and our cards at 9am no longer open our doors.
Communication is poor at best, the rooms are dark and dirty (beds never moved for vacuum) litter under bed, slippery bathroom even in disability room. I do not recommend this motel.

I recently stayed at the Bell Tower Motel and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is convenient, with shops and cafes nearby, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a short getaway. I’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend Bell Tower Motel to friends and family.

WARNING! Bed bugs (as of 10/04/25).
We planned to stay here with our entire team of 19. We booked 7 rooms. When we arrived another patron explained that he found bed bugs in his bed and was leaving to stay elsewhere. We then searched our rooms and found bed bugs in 5 out of 7 rooms.
The staff were helpful and we received a refund for the nights we had booked. We also understand that motels must experience this every now and then but finding bugs in most rooms was not pleasant.

Bed bugs! Bed bugs! Bed bugs! … Among other things. Consider the many other reviews of bed bugs at this motel. Seriously, book somewhere else. You'd be better off sleeping in your vehicle.
My boss booked me a room at this place, as I had to stay in Shepparton overnight. The check in was kinda smooth (hence 2 stars for service instead of one — read further). I rang the after hours number to check in, and within half an hour, I received an SMS message with my room number and other info.
I got into my room and got settled. I noticed the lack of decent lighting, and a bit of an odor in the room. There were stains on the carpet, near the door, and the coffee table was broken. The bed was made and rather well presented, though.
I got changed and went out for dinner. When I got back, I got a bit curious to see what others had said about this place, so I checked Google reviews. After the many mentions of bed bugs (and photos of peoples' skin in the aftermath), I decided to strip the bed to see if mine had any. I found a long strand of human hair, likely female. Some of the pillowcases had black marks on them, which only made me want to look further. I found what looked like crumbs between the bedsheets. I found 2 small bed bugs, one medium bed bug (all on the pillows and all alive and moving), and a large dead one on the bedsheet near the bed head. A large (alive) one appeared on a pillow next to the medium sized one as I was on the phone to my boss about the state of the room.

Do not stay here. Last week we were woken up at 3am by BED BUGS and had to evacuate in the middle of the night. We put up a review then to ethically advise to others staying that there is an infestation, only to be called the next day and abused to take the review down or “we won’t refund you”. No apology at the time, and were advised they have been aware of the bed bug infestation at their motel for MONTHS. We took the review down after being bullied, and now after a week the staff have refused to call back about our refund, ignored calls and an email, and seem to only care about their Google reviews rather than public safety. I am covered in horrendous bites, and we have lost $100s from throwing out items that bed bugs were seen on.
