Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable & stylish. If anything the only thing I didn’t rate was the shower head.

Would not recommend this hotel.
The owner of this hotel deducted $300 from our credit card without calling us. We called them to see why. The carpet was wet from the rain because we left the door open apparently. Clear as day when we returned it was a building fault. Water was coming through the door even when door was closed.
The owner was so rude yelling at me and pointing her finger. This will be taken further.
Would not recommend because of the customer service and the whole place smells like an ashtray.

A really nice place, rooms are new & are quite spacious. Beds are extremely comfortable.

Checked in with my husband who has a disability. Answered all our question without hesitation. We were given a larger room to accommodate his mobility walker. Room was exceptionally clean and perfectly suitable for our requirements. Visited the on-site restaurant our first night and were served a faultless meal with a great wine list to match. On our second night my husband required some treatment locally and we were unable to return for a second visit to the restaurant. No problems for the two delightful young ladies at reception. We chose our meals from the restaurant menu and they were delivered to our room by the restaurant staff… delicious! We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quiet accommodation, large clean rooms and comfortable beds with excellent linen. The staff went that extra mile to help us out. Thank you Carrington Hotel!

The chef is a legend and the rooms are very clean.

This was our regular go-to restaurant. Been twice this year & the food was abysmal. Last night what they called a pork roulade came like a tin of cat food upended on the plate. Souffle was like a leather bag you could lift out of the dish in one piece. Booked for 6:30 & got out after 10. Lost regular customers here. Very disappointed with the decline in food quality!

First time at the carrington, have always stayed at the park lake. Receptionists rude and dismissive. Rooms clean but small and smelt of chemicals from
Steam cleaned carpet. Price included breakfast which was very basic. Opted for the full breakfast, for $50 we received eggs Benedict including a burnt muffin with hollandaise sauce from a bottle. Two pancakes included and strawberry passed its used by date. Never again, very overpriced for what you get.

Good friendly reception an nice clean comfortable room stayed here before and will stay again in the future.

Beautiful and clean restaurant with lovely waitresses BUT several dishes were not available. What we did order was really sub standard for this restaurant, which we had previously enjoyed very nice meals at. Sorry but the excuse of a new chef and a change over of menu really wasn’t good enough. We had booked the week
Before for 8 people and there was 4 others including us. The chef was not exactly run of his feet. We paid a lot for the ambiance but the meal at our local pub is much better.

Thank u for being so wonderful and helpful when me and my assistance dog came to stay. Was a great night. Lovely clean room dinner was amazing so was breakfast. I just wish I drank coffee so I could have used the coffee machine.

We had our wedding reception at the Carrington in 2001 and found Mary and her staff epic to deal with. They couldn’t do enough for us and we believe that it is a credit to them to have kept up such a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Had dinner here this week. The food and service was amazing! Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

The motel is very well positioned — directly opposite Victoria Park lake and only a short walk to central Shepparton shops & restaurants. The room itself was clean, and the bed comfortable with surprisingly good pillows. I didn't love the shower — although it had great water pressure and heat the open design results in water going all over the floor. The room has very basic breakfast facilities. There's a toaster & kettle, with cups, mugs and teaspoons, but no other plates or cutlery.

Nice place. Wonderful location opposite to lake. Clean tidy and humble staff.

Nicely refurbished rooms. Comfy beds. Will go back there.

Definitely return to this venue. The restaurant was 5 star and the rooms extremely comfortable.

Fantastic service every time I stay there … restaurant is great, no need to go elsewhere for dinner … highly recommended.

Room was spacious and clean. Location was excellent. Staff were not very helpful when asked if we could change room to a lake view. Not a welcome feeling to the hotel which was a shame because the room and facilities were lovely.

Had dinner here whilst I was traveling for business… Food took over an hour to come out, with little to no explanation as to why. Very unsatisfactory considering the restaurant only had three other tables to serve. Food was also uncooked and a prime ingredient listed on the menu wasn’t present on the dish. A glass of wine was taken off the bill but not the $40 meal. Left hungry and completely unsatisfied.

Monday night and I was there at 6 — corporate and on my own.
At 8 o’clock I was still waiting for dessert and coffee — finished main course at around 7.
Sorry but if 15 people in the restaurant runs you off your feet perhaps you should change your waiting staff or perhaps review how you do things.
Do you really think that waiting that long for coffee and desert is acceptable?
Stop chatting and wait tables.

Great rooms for a motel! Really enjoyed my stay there. A la cart hot breakfast with continental buffet was terrific. Would stay again.

Really nice venue for events and a meal.

Service was good. My flight was late but receiption is willing to wait to check me in. Given a room that is near the conference room so it's quiet enough. Room is a bit dated and breakfast is not too appealing. Otherwise all good.

One of the worst I been in my life. I paid for Queen Delux and I got a small room full of mosquitoes/ spiders. My room at my house is bigger than this room. Regret to come here.

Great view and flavoursome food.

Exceptional service. Stunning buildings and architecture. Clean rooms with beautiful character to them. Sufficient heating for winter months. Great location a step away from the lake and close to shops, restaurants etc.

Love the style, the waterview! Beautiful breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs were fantastic and international level! Katrina were lovely. I can recommend it very much. I will be back.

This is my special occasion dining place. Food is absolutely delicious with amazing presentation. Beautiful dining, lovely staff & high class Decor. Highly recommend this venue.

It was great. Very freindly and accomodating. Lovely room and bathroom. Perfectly possitioned across from Victoria Lake. We had dinner in the restaurant and ordered Chicken Parma which wasn't on the menu but on the room service menu and was not a problem. We also had the buffet breakfast and that was great too. All in all — very comfortable, Clean, Plush, food A1 and freindly. Definately a Hotel not a Motel.

Carrington was nice & close to everything. Being able to get up and walk across to Victoria park was great.
The room itself was lovely however I felt suffocated. I couldn't open the curtains unless I wanted everyone walking past to look in. And there were no chairs outside the room if you wanted to just sit and enjoy the morning sun.
Best thing was the cocktails in the restaurant and the waiter who served us was very friendly and helpful.

A decent hotel. Room was comfortable. Room service good quality and quick. Check in and out without a problem. I'd stay here again.

Room I booked wasn't available and tried to pass off an inferior room in the manor house as an upgrade. Found Condom wrapper on floor in the room. Room had a very strong musky odor (mold? ). Tried to switch rooms but was no better. Door to balcony was broken. Door into hall was of poor quality and didn't block light or sound from hall. Rooms need an uplift. Staff was pleasant but didn't appreciate being questioned by house keeping the next day about the condom wrapper found in the room and they didn't even apologies for not seeing it when cleaning. Restaurant is very overpriced for what it is. Ordered a $16 chocolate mousse which was made with nestle melts (cheap cooking chocolate). How do I know this? Well the waitress told me after I complained the the dessert tasted of cheap chocolate. Could understand why it would taste bad if the chef had used nestle melts.

Upon calling to make a booking for a stay over the long weekend we were not advised that the restaurant was closed for renovations or that any works were being carried out. At 7.30am on Monday (PUBLIC HOLIDAY) we were woken by the sounds of hammers and tools banging beneath the room. No doubt we were not the only people staying there that were woken by the tradesman and tools. Advising guests at time of bookings that renovations were in progress and starting works at a reasonable hour would have been the right thing to do by the guests. We will not stay here again.

Had the best time there, so peaceful and relaxing.
