Fantastic location. Modern bar and dining. Spacious bedrooms. Shopping mall access too. Would definitely stay again.

I attended an event in one of the small function rooms. The entrance to the hotel is quite small, but once you take the lift up, you enter a nice sitting area with a bar. The place looks well maintained.

Excellent service! Everyone is always smiling and all staff go above and beyond. Stayed for 2 weeks with buffet breakfast and valet parking and I enjoyed every second. Very welcoming atmosphere.

I recently stayed in this hotel for a business trip, and I had a horrible experience. I had a Deluxe King Room that cost $260-$340 per night, but when I got to the room, it barely had any amenities: no complimentary bottled water, no bath robe, no bedroom slippers, no lotion, no dental kit, etc. While that sounds like it's just "first world problems, " I would like to note that I have stayed in 3-star hotels in developing countries where I was paying a lot less, but those amenities were available. The room was also very dark as the lights were mostly from lamps only. It was so dark, I felt like I was in a DC movie. The only consolation was that it was spacious. After my second night, I got woken up at around 6 am by loud noises. At first, I thought it was coming from the guests in the room above me, but I remembered that I was on the top floor. There was metal scraping, heavy things being dropped, and even some hammering. I had hoped it would go away, but when it didn't, I called the front desk, and they said they would look into it and the manager would call me back. When I didn't get a call after 15 minutes, and I still couldn't go back to sleep because the noises were still there, I called them again, and it was only after that the manager called me back. Note that no one even came to my room to check out what's going on. She just explained that the noises were coming from the service elevator near my room, because they were doing some work on it.

Good location. Rooms clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok (but nothing for me to rave about). The "master switch" isn't well labelled and that's turned off, the air con doesn't work and your phone doesn't get charged. More of an issue if you get in late and don't experiment. I'll call it a silly design. Overall, would go back again though.

The team here are always super helpful and welcoming. I usually just stay 1-2 nights for work, so I don't have much of a chance to use the bar or restaurant but I have always been happy with the room service food and the gym is pretty good for a hotel gym. Only issue with it is that the exercise bikes don't seem to be plugged in at all.

A good hotel at a fantastic location. At times there may be a slight difficulty to dropping my car for valet parking due to the limited parking space on a very busy street. But in general, the valet parking people are attentive and available within a minute. The room is big and nice. However, the room was a big dusty and the pillows and sheets were not comfortable. The valet parking people were nice and friendly. But the reception people were cold and tired.

Novotel Melbourne on Collins had provided a very high standard of hospitality for our stay. We were greeted by the Concierge, offering Valet Parking. The reception staff were helpful, and the lobby was of a satisfactory size. The room was thoroughly clean, and had boasted a good sense of luxury and style with the good facilities available in the room, including a master switch next to the bed, two HD TVs, a marble bathroom, and more. Catering was excellent and flawless, even offering for breakfast Honeycomb and Lychee, along with an extensive range of hot and cold foods. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It's okay. The hotel bar is respectable. The rooms are cool too. The location is super cool to sample the city. However, I expect bars to have great music but this one did not and I obviously raised it with the staff.

Another stay at this wonderful hotel. The location in the CBD is so handy for shopping & restaurants. Staff are friendly and the room was large and clean (10th floor). Highly recommended. Will be back.

The hotel is very accessible and provides bith a gym and pool to its guests. The gym is slightly limited but within expected for a hotel whilst the pool is quite shallow. The most confusing aspect of the layout is the separation of the first 3 floors and the rest of the hotel. Overall it is a comfortable hotel to stay at with suitable facilities.

The hospitality at Novotel is excellent. The entrance is small but a reception where they help you. The restaurant located in the hotel is of good quality. He recommended it if it is his first day in the city.

Had a two night stay at Novotel on Collins. Great location in the city. Breakfast was lovely and personal service great. But, parking is atrocious. Toured around for 40 minutes before finding parking. Could not get close enough to the Novotel to use their valet parking. Went to use their small cold pool, even a 40 degree day could not make it inviting.

Good clean rooms and service. Avoid the valet parking as it is faster to park yourself in the lot across the street (where they park your car anyway) and walk. Definitely good value hotel and will use again.

Great place to stay. I stayed for a week for work. Used their Gym & Pool everyday after work to wind down and had breakfast there every morning. Used their laundry service for my suits. The staff are very helpful & professional.

Good hotel in the upper middle class. Very good Location. Everything you need available. Wi-Fi Large bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good mood.

Hotel located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. Direct access to the mall.

A great stay in a family room for 5 days. Clean, tidy, friendly and lots of fun. We are a family of 5, kids 8, 6 and 2. Kids love the pool, game machine at reception and their own connected room with TV. We loved the breakfasts, valet parking, dinner (great steaks) and friendly staff. Perfect spot for a week in Melbourne.

It was good our experience. The room was clean, the breakfasts with good assortment of food. It would be good if they provided.
It would be nice if they had robes and slippers to get up in the rooms.

My stay was pleasant and the staff were great. I got a room on the 11th floor so there was not too much outside noise and my room was near the lift which was exactly what I wanted as I have had to take the ridiculously long journey to the other side of the building from the lift before and would not like to do that again. The passages leading to my room were dirty as was the was the walls in the passage ways. My room itself was nice with plenty of space and was clean. My only quibble would be the big chips of plaster taken out of the walls in the room. But overall the location far outlays my minor complaints and I will be back.

It was the perfect location for our one night city stay before the Grand Final parade. Everything was great including the pool (pool could me more heated) and spa. The only negative was that when we arrived we were informed by a girl on the desk, that if we booked breakfast the night before, we would receive a discount. When we went to book later that night, a different girl, told us that it wasn't possible on our room rate to give that discount. So we didn't book, But in the morning we asked someone else and they did give us the discount. I think your staff need to be more on the same page. But everything else was great. Thank you.

This hotel is located in the ideal location very central to all in Melbourne. Add to this the great and friendly staff and this is the ideal spot to stay. Staff make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The hotel is always well presented and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The location offers lots of different options such as staying at the hotel and eat and drink there or go for a stroll with plenty of places to eat and drink at. Always found the staff to be exceptional in that if you need something they will make every effort to arrange it. So as it goes I highly recommend this hotel and I personally stay here frequently.

The staff at the Novotel on Collins provide a top quality exceptional service. I stayed at the hotel for a conference and I was so impressed with all aspects of the service at the hotel. The rooms were well appointed, staff friendly and personable and went above and beyond. The conference I attended was well managed and the food and drinks were plentiful and always ready. We were very happy with our stay at Novotel on Collins. Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Overlooking St Collins Lane added to the pleasure. We dined at the Lane restaurant which we found to be an excellent experience. Food was great and service even better. Knowing we only had to get the lift back to our room made for a relaxing dinner. Staff, throughout the hotel were extremely polite and helpful. Novotel on Collins compared favourably with hotels we have stayed at while travelling through UK, Europe and the US. I am sure we will stay there again when we need an overnight stop in Melbourne.

Check-in was great with one of your very nice and capable staff members. I really like the lobby / bar area. It is a great space for meetings. There is a really good vibe on Friday afternoons. The rooms were fine, just what I needed.

Great location! Amazing service during our stay. Excellent follow up on requests of staff also. The restaurant appeared to close fairly early in the weekend — we went for dinner at 9.05pm — and missed our chance. The room was spacious and well kept with excellent views. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed Novotel on Collins first time with my mum for my birthday get away. The experience was fantastic! Great staff, lovely room and fantastic service. The location is perfect for getting around the city. We had full buffet breakfast, good selection of hot and continental breakfast, always nice to receive 50% off as an Accor member and complimentary drinks. They also gave me a full bottle of wine and a card for my birthday! I can confidently recommend the hotel to anyone who is planning to stay in Melbourne.

Stayed two nights on business. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I particularly liked the comfortable reclining chair, much nicer for relaxing than a more usual upright one. Only thing I would rate lower would be the cost of breakfast: $15 for a cup of tea and some toast I had to toast myself, from cheap sliced packet bread — not the best. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to friends and colleagues.

Nice hotel in the middle of Victoria. I spend almost 2 weeks here last December. Walking distances to shopping centre, local attraction nearby and easy to get food anytime. Their services also quite good and friendly staff. Surely will come back again.

Our stay was simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived until we left. Our check in was seamless and our suite was ready at 11am. We were celebrating our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by the extras, the personal card, wine and breakfast voucher. A lovely touch. Our suite was outstanding. Very good hotel, clean, modern, organized.

The general experience from check-in to check-out was outstanding. Our key was ready when we arrived along with our Accorplus pack. Complimentary drink (sparkling wine) was that he only low of the stay. Perhaps you might want to review the brand you stock — it's been the same for all our stays — it's pretty ordinary. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. As usual the breakfast is first class. In the past I had been critical of the attention to detail regarding refilling items that had been exhausted. I noted that this was something that staff were right on top of during this experience — well done. All the staff we had contact with were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay.

Check in was easy, room was very clean and Hotel very convenient to tram stops. The price was great too. Pillows were incredibly hard, however I ordered 2 from the pillow menu and had a great night sleep. Breakfast was phenomenal and the three of us were thrilled. Staff were super efficient and it was a delight to see how accommodating they were (actually they were guns! ). Will stay again.

Very good location in central Melbourne. Good level of service. From my point of view the rooms are very dark and the housekeeping in the lobby leaves a lot to be desired: traces of liquid dripping on several seats give a little disgusting air.

Downtown, it's convenient to go anywhere! It's a pity the pool is too small!

We were in the conference room for dinner team building activities and it was a nice space. Had a catered lunch which was also pleasant.

Firstly I definitely expected much more from the Novotel being a 4 star hotel. The interior was very old fashioned, the rooms were very basic and not much included in the rooms e. G. Free Wi-Fi/water and just other little things like tooth brushes and bath robes. After I had checked out of my one night stay I had realised I left my phone charger in my room and rang up immediately and asked if they could put aside for me to pick up later on in the week. I got a call back from them saying they did not find it. Even though this wasn't a big loss for me it was just extremely disappointing to think that a 4 star hotel would loose or steal property that is not theirs. Will not come back.

Great hotel and good location right in the middle of the cbd. The staff are always very friendly and the rooms are modern and clean. The menu is also great regardless of whether your having room service or eating in the restaurant. Highly recommend this place!

This is always my go-to hotel whenever I stay in Melbourne. It is clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice is also very plentiful. It is located in a perfect spot which allows you to walk around the city easily.

Good rooms, great location and friendly staff. Pool and gym are small though and very noisy and busy during the school holidays. Breakfast is quite decent with a wide selection.

Great hotel in heart of melbourne. Easy access. Nice clean rooms. Basic TV and premium movie packages available. Kids area, gym and pool for the more active. Excellent buffet breakfast. Do get some internal noise from halls, but little to no outside.

The location is amazing! There were some renovations happening next door and unfortunately we didn't know about them as it wasn't posted on wotif. However when we mentioned this they were more than happy to help. We got our breakfast and room service paid for.

Everything was just right. There are renovations going on at the moment, but they cause only insignificant inconvenience to hotel visitors.

My biggest problem was not the massive renovation work happening at the ground floor shopping. The major problem was the internet. It was not even a dial up speed internet. Very, very slow. I wasn't able to do work and had to use my own phone as a hot spot to get it working. The pillows are ridiculously cheap and bad as well. Breakfast was great, lots of options. The staff is very professional. The gym is a complete joke. More weights please.

I really enjoyed my stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The place was clean. My room was a good size and clean too. There was building work going on but the receptionist booked me into a room week away from the noise which was great. Check in and check out was of a reasonable time frame. The only thing I didn't get was arobe and slippers in my room.

Close to everything. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff where great.

Spent the weekend at the Novotel on the 11/7/15 was not informed about the construction work going on in the shopping plazza below over the period of our stay which is extremely disappointing as they started at 7 am on the Saturday morning, so if you are thinking of staying at the Novotel I would find out about the construction works first.

The room is nice, but it's very noisy because of under construction.

Love the refurbished accommodation — comfortable beds, good work desk and a nice strong shower — just what I need. I've had some great feedback from my clients about Novotel on Collins and I've always had positive experiences too. Well done.

You couldn't pick a better hotel in terms of location. Slap bang in the middle of town, in the 'Parisian' part of Melbourne close to lovely shops, cafes, the garden, Federation Square etc. On top of a shopping mall so easy to grab quick food, pop to chemist etc. Staying in the new renovated rooms which are nicely done, free Wi-Fi, nespresso machine, reproduction Eames Chair in the room etc. No bath which is a shame. My room looks out on the atrium which sounded nice when I read about it on the website but in reality feels a bit claustrophobic and like being in a prison cell. The room service food is good. The pool is a bit small and crowded. I think 3 out of 5 sums it up.
