I would recommend to stay in Causeway, the customer services was great, staffs are friendly. Beside that’s the housekeeping was great too. Clean and tidy❤️will book again for my next trip❤️ location is great too, convenience to do shopping☺️

It’s close to the Block Arcade so great location. The restaurant is outsourced in the basement but the Do Dee does yummy food for room service and puts on a good breakfast. Tucked away down an ally it is quite snug and the rooms are nice. I had mobility room which was spacious and fit for purpose. Great location for exploring.

Staff are very friendly spacious rooms.

Where do I start… Firstly, I booked the hotel for three people but when we got there they informed me that I had to pay an extra $60 a night because it was my fault that there had been a mistake in the booking.
The sofa bed for my child wasn’t made up and she was unable to go to sleep until at least 11pm because it took 1.5 hours for the receptionist to find a blanket and a pillow.
When we called reception to find out where they were with the blanket and pillow, they informed us that they hadn’t been yet because they didn’t think we wanted it even though I explicitly asked for the blanket and sheets to be brought up.
When I asked the receptionist how long it would take for her to come make the bed, she said, and I quote “I’m not trained in how to make a bed”.
No apology was offered to us over how long this took, we were charged an extra $180 for a blanket and pillow for our child.
We will never stay there again and we discourage others from staying there as well.

Great little hotel in the heart of town. Close to all things shopping and easy walks to the tourist bits. Exec room was large with all amenities. Clean crisp bedding w king bed. Reception staff were polite and knowledgable. Continental Breakfast on Lvl two was more than satisfactory for $18 per head. Would stay here again.

Great staff disappointing room the carpet was all stained we had a shower curtain in the shower instead of glass screen the water kept going hot and cold the break fast was disappointing the ham and cheese was sitting on table with no ice I have been to better budget hotels then this one it needs major renovations fast there was no carpack at the hotel we had to park in a carpack which was 5 mins away from the hotel we won't be coming back.

The reception customer service is utterly ridiculous and rude. Literally cancelled my call to avoid some questions. How funny we paid for this lousy service. Yall dont come to this place.

Service good. Rooms ok but need a bit if update. Great if you are just sleeping and doing nothing else in hotel.

Shower was terrible to hot then to cold! Room was ok.

Dont stay at this hotel. Rooms outdated faded chairs peeling paint, chipped bathroom tiles. The towels weren't changed just re hung on rail, no milk.
How they get 4 stars on bookings I don't know. Also they take the full amount plus $50, and on checking out took the full amount again and said the frst would be repaid.
I have never had this before, yes $50 deposit but not accommodation charged twice!. The position is great perhaps that's why they get repeat business.
In fairness the service manager did respond, but I'm still waiting for the refund to go through, not happy.

Good location. Bed was comfortable. Hotel needs some serious renovation and upkeep though. Every second light isn't on and some room lights don't work, and the lighting in the room os pretty poor. Carpets darkened and fraying. Not sure what's going on with the very outdated bathroom design either. Housekeeping could be improved, missing a pair of slippers and didn't top up the toilet paper… when we had asked for another roll we had to ask the service desk twice in an hour (at around 12am) and ended up just going downstairs to fetch it ourselves from the front desk after an hour… quality needs improvement.

Friendly staff and quite nice rooms considering the price. The location is great. I didn't find anything wrong with the room or hotel in general. I would definitely stay again.

Location is great, just one street away from the mall. Rooms are clean and staff have been very polite.

Very low quality rooms. All wet rooms have mdf architraves and the water is rotting out the wood. Grout in tiles are disgusting. Hotel staff are very rude. No parking for disabled person.

I am booked at this property for 4 nights people reviews have disappointed me I have read owners reply regarding three properties and people have all bad reviews for hotel csuseway 275 I will wait for owners reply to make my trip best of it and I will review my experience thank you.

Great location. Budget hotel but room clean. Nice shower. Helpful reception staff. Great location (again) for shops, Southbank and theatres.

An extremely dated hotel and honestly the only good thing going for it is it's location, and it's clean. Will never ever stay here again. The so called "high speed" Wi-Fi is laughable. It's SLOW! And Wi-Fi is "complimentary" for 2hrs after which it's a "paid" service. What a joke. If you're a business person, the Wi-Fi is NOT business class, therefore not recommended for business people. For what you pay, you may as well stay at other hotels which provides you business class Wi-Fi that is all included in the price. The hotel group needs to urgently update the hotel. It's in an enviable location. It's just unfortunate it's just so bad for what you pay! Stay clear. There's other better hotels within the grid of the Melbourne CBD that charges the same and provides better services and amenities.

Super costly. Not at all value for money. Outdated rooms and bathroom fittings. A 3 room suite (apartment hotel) with swimming pool, gym etc in Sydney was much cheaper than this! Had some inconvenience related to payment as well. Not recommended.

Great location. The decor is a little dated and when I stayed 8-11 August '17 they have just started renovating the ground and 1st floor. The room was on the top floor and a bit smaller than I expected but it was clean and serviceable since it was just somewhere to sleep. Plenty of nearby places to eat so the lack of on site dining was no issue.

Good location and hygienic but there was one thing that really bugged me, the lady I believe she's a staff there she was really snotty and disrespectful shouting at other staff. Greet her and she didn't even talk back or atleast smile.

Great location and spacious and affordable rooms. Continental breakfast leaves something to be desired. Gymnasium facilities were lacking and very basic. The steam room was out of order at the time of my stay, very disappointing.

The location is brilliant but the cleaniness however is not. The bathroom was disgusting and I woke in the morning with what the doctor believes to be bed bug bites all over me.

We were greeted by a young lady who was efficient and friendly. We left our bags and went shopping then came back to a young man who I can't say was rude he just didn't say anything!? When we got to the room we found it to be quite grubby. The curtains were dirty, there was fluff in the carpet and the bathroom was not clean like you expect a hotel to be. We decided to have a glass of wine and unfortunately the glasses had a coating of something in them, we scrubbed them clean. The beds were comfortable and clean. On leaving the friendly girl on reception was there again. Yes it is convenient, but after being out and having a nice dinner I was not looking forward to going back to the hotel.
We both decided we would not stay there again.

Everything was as expected with nothing to complain about.

This is a somewhat belated post, as I have only recently joined Tripadvisor. I stayed there in August 2014. The rooms were fine, however the staff attitude was not particularly friendly, not that I expected them to be effusive. The issue was that while I holiday each year dressed as a woman for 2 weeks, most of the bookings were in my male name (on my credit card). As I booked in, the receptionist was very frosty in her manner towards me. After that the rest of the staff were not overly friendly either, but were quite professional. I have been around long enough to cope with peoples' uncomfortableness without getting upset. However, I will not recommend this hotel to my trans-friends.

Beware, ruined our holiday! Paid $220 to be put next to the elevator shaft, loud CONTINUOUS ZOOMING the whole time, (and the room was small and neglected) refused to refund us until I informed them I would call consumer affairs, they then offered another room & eventually after a lot of distress, agreed to not charge us a cancellation fee. Discovered the next day that they had frozen $276 on our account and took an extra $226 of UNAUTHORIZED money from our credit card. Took 2 hours and numerous calls of trying to convince the staff to return OUR MONEY and then 4 days of $500 missing from our account. No apologies or offers of compensation.

Never again! They charged us twice and we cannot access half as it is frozen for 72 hours. Staff are rude, they didnt listen when checking out and charged us for mother in laws room. So she has been charged and we have paid.
I asked for a new glass when they cleaned room so she washed in bathroom, I could of done that!
My husband and I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Melbourne never seen such a poor system.

Would like to give 3.5 but at a push I'm happy to give 4. The draw backs: in room 230 the central air control system was very noisy and did not switch off ever, stained curtain and check out was excruciatingly show, under staffed with Edward on his own though very polite really needed help to speed things up. Breakfast was great: good value, variety and waitress did not fuss when we were still eating after 10.30 and even offered to provide more which was much appreciated.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem when we booked a holiday package online. It is tiny but the rooms are generous. We found the room to be comfortable, uncluttered and with chic furnishings and the location was brilliant. Surprisingly for its location we had no noise at all from the street or other guests. The included breakfast was extensive, fresh and relaxed. A very nice addition is the continental doona on the bed which gave a warm, home-y feel. A 30 second walk to trams was convenient and the abundance of cafes, restaurants, shops and entertainment meant that our holiday was even better than anticipated and our expectations were exceeded by this lovely hotel. We'll be back.
