I spent 3 months there and every body was so nice!
And the best things there are SHOWER!

One of the best hostel where I've been to. Staff really friendly and very helpful. The size of the beds it's bigger than the normal I think and I found it very comfortable. Movie night every Sunday with free popcorn, free bbq during the summer once a week, cheese and wine tasting and more other things to get people evolved and to. Clean rooms and a lot of toilets/showers in 2 floors and it means that you don't have to wait for a warm shower in cold days like these. In the middle of CBD and inside the free tram zone, close to every thing and all the shops around the area. I really recommend it.

Absolute bargain to grab a bunk for the evening post an event in the city and before hopping an early country train the next morning. A few blocks from the station, in the midst of the city, security at the door. Warm & cozy bed with nice, fresh linen. Clean, modern bathroom with soft-close toilet lid. Fellow guests were quiet and respectful (pack an eye mask and ear-plugs anyway). There's unsecured lockers in the room and paid ones at/near (? ) reception. Free breakfast in the morning (not sure what that's like) from 7:30am. Apparently there's also a rooftop area and lounge with a pool table too — didn't make time to check those out. There is a USB & power point at your bed too The staff were lovely, and a lady was practicing yoga in the hall in the morning too 5 star rating — as it was spot-on for what I used it for. If you're after a hotel-hotel, this is probably not your place. It is what it is and it's damn good value for that!

It's a central location hostel with great facilities, free towel and breakfast, great bathrooms. However it could be cleaner. Nevertheless had a good stay and would recommend it.

Here is a good place to stay at Melbourne few days for backpackers or people who want to save more money. However, you cannot compare it with the hotel which cost 120/night. So in this cheaper price, the environment, equipments and rooms are accepted. They provide the iron cabinet for you but you need to prepare yourself lock and the lock needs a little big one. Also, they provide the lockers need to pay and it’s outside the rooms. You can borrow the cup here for 1 dollar and it can be refund. They also provide plates, pots, cutlery, forks, knives, toaster, kettle, and towel. If you need hair dryer, you can borrow from them, just remember to bring your slippers. They provide pancake flour to let you make pancakes by yourself as breakfast, from 7:30-9:30am. Wifi here is weak, you can hear people’s voice in your room, however, they all can be accepted in this price.

This a good place if you're looking for a temporary accommodation in Melbourne. Everything's close from this place. The property itself is good and has plenty of rooms. They even have free breakfast and Wi-Fi. There's a dining area where you can sit and chill. It also has a lounge where you can sit with your friends, watch TV, play games and they have a pool table too.

Good bedding with decent privacy (you get a cover from the rest of the room, but not from the beds along the same wall). There are a few happenings a week that help you to get to know people. The staff is friendly and helpful. The toilets/showers are clean and supplied most of the time.

Clean enough. Comfy enough. Very cool rooftop. Good value but nothing spectacular.

Location is perfect (near trams and central business district aka CBD). Great value (price was hard to beat), staff was friendly/helpful. Breakfast was splendid (good selection on two different floors). Only con was some of the restrooms did run out of toilet paper paper and soap but the staff were quick to refill!

Good place with most areas inside the hostel clean. Rooms are good with enough charging points for everybody and a safe to keep your stuff. Barbecues on the beautiful rooftop and a lot of fun. Not very expensive as well if you take the weekly deal. Would aurely recommend.

Tiny hostel with big bed. The atmosphere is quite nice. The lobby plays background music until late. In the room for 6 female, the bed is nice, but there's a lot of noise beside the room. You can easily hear people talking. There are some toilets and bathrooms out of order. So pick the right time to go. Kitchen is in the lobby. There's free BBQ on Thursday night. Staffs are friendly. Have $20 deposit for the keys, bed sign and one towel. If you lost the key, have to pay $10.

Superb rooms nice environment. Would like to sweet talk them into a laundry… come a hundred people please invert directions to a laundry sweet… the wont cause they dont got one. Loll.

Really bad and ignorant staff that hardly speak English and can't crack a smile, shite rooms, nice showers and plugs, don't seem to manage the place well as we requested a room of 4, 3 weeks in advance but we're still split up… yea won't stay here again, expensive for what you get.

It is a great hostel with good beds and a lot of space. It's very clean. My only problem was the size of the kitchen. During meal times it was way to crowded.

Really did not enjoy my stay at Europa. The overall structure of the place and common areas don't allow for an inviting atmosphere to meet other travelers. Pros: lockers and sockets at each bed. Cons: bathrooms are often very dirty and the common areas/atmosphere are heavily lacking. Wouldn't recommend for solo travelers.

We went at the opening weekend and it was packed, we had a need for one bottom bunk and asked 1 week in advance and we're assured it would be kept. We arrived and they had no record. The setup was modern and they gave towels with the stay, the. Showers we're nice and the place was clean.

Friendly and friendly. There is a good mix of nationality here. Only small black dot, there is no washing machine.

The management and reception staff are just awesome and helpful! The cleanliness is good and who doesn't like a free breakfast. Pricing is great for location. Also their beds have curtains which was nice for privacy and just being able to do your own thing without having to worry about disturbing other guests. Overall my experience here has been nothing but a lovely one and I couldn't recommend a better backpackers. Great memories.

The whole is very good, the only drawback is the kitchen and refrigerator is too small, pumping system is not perfect, the bed is very comfortable, bathroom is wet and dry separation! Breakfast is served in 7:30-9:30! In particular, you can bake pancakes.

Still doing work to it but it's shaping up nicely. Stayed there for a month from mid feb to mid march. Still a few creases to iron out but really enjoyed my time there and met some great people. Stayed in a 16bed dorm.

Toilets are a bit small and nasty, but overall I liked the place. They have extension cord so you have plugs at the beds, and there's lockers next to the beds so there's places to put your stuff (very useful for top bunk as you can put stuff on top of the lockers), however they don't provide padlocks and my locker didn't even lock with one. I'd appreciate a reading light by my bed and padlocks available (maybe with a deposit). Also the Wi-Fi is pretty good but a little unreliable, if you're a student you may be able to access eduroam from next door.

If I had been asked to review this place a couple of days into my stay, I would have given it a 3 or even 4 star rating; the rooms are functional, just like the bathrooms, and the service was generally helpful. However the following few days changed my mind. The staff became far led helpful, and were rarely staffing the "24/7" front desk. On top of this, broken power points and beds weren't fixed and I was also subject to a serious breach of privacy by a staff member to a roommate who sook to use that information against me. So unfortunately I cannot recommend this hostel, perhaps with staff retraining they can improve things.

Honestly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, rooms are clean and the staff are great!

Overall a nice hostel. Smaller than the average hostel, which means a smaller than average kitchen — that can mean there's some traffic at busy times, but it also means it's fairly clean. They also supply pancake batter in the morning. There's individual little shower & toilet rooms which I think is a nice touch. The lockers in the rooms are a great size. Individual USBs/plugs by the beds are outrageously rare in Australia. Staff is almost always there and has been very accommodating so far. Most importantly, and this sets Europa apart from most places, is that they have free Wi-Fi that you can access in most of the property. 4 stars because for me the kitchen is just a bit too small (2 fridges that are bursting full, and not enough basic cutlery), but other than that it's incredible for the price.

Quiet location yet central, great price, service and amenities. Would recommend it to all budget conscious travellers out there.

Cool hostel. You can sleep for $25 a day in a 12 beds room. The showers are great. Includes breakfast. Beds are nice. Nice roof. The main thing I didn't like is that there are no activities. So if you travel alone it will be hard at first to make some friends.

Brilliant hostel, perfect for backpacking and short visits to the city. Great falcilities and helpful staff. Could not have asked for more when staying in the city on a budget. Would highly recommend if your backpacking or traveling.

It's the nicest hostel I've been in melbourne so far, they have free breakfast, Individual plugs and USB ports for each bed.

$28 in the 8 mix-dorm. Wet cells consist of shower, toilet, wb. All in one and very new and very! Maintained!

Disgusting. Reading the criticts I don't understand what happened since. I'm here for 3 nights already and never ever saw a clean bathroom. I admit the gusts are also disgusting, by leaving beard hair on the sink. Staff keeps on washing the floor but the bins are full. Could put more pics but they are disgusting. The "big" room and the dining room are to small for amount of beds and tables. Big bed room in the basement and has a small narrow window and No air. Beware.
