The hospitality is sensational the location is sensational love it.

It is a 101 years old cosy house. Staffs are welcoming, esp Nigel and Ann. They are eager to show you the history of the house and the beautiful stars in the sky. Thanks Nigel and Ann, you’re really helpful, for calling us and sending email to us when you found that we left a backpack in our room.

Our stay was absolutely delightful! Nigel and Anne were the kindest of hosts and looked us beautifully. ; we could not have asked for more. A perfect start to our Tassie holiday in stunning Sheffield. Thank you both for spoiling us with bubblies and cheese as we watched Targa Tasmania go past — how cool was that!

What a gorgeous B@B to stay at. So comfortable, clean, relaxing. Close enough to walk to town for a choice of cafes and shops. The owners are very welcoming and friendly people who make a great breakfast and warm fire to relax by. Look forward to returning.

Anne and Nigel gave us local recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. Would definitely highly recommend this bed and breakfast to any fellow travellers!

Located at the edge of the town, on top of the hill, near farm land. Just a couple if minutes drive to cbd. Big courtyard with trees and grass. Very relaxing. Room is nice and clean. Good air con. Bathroom very clean. The owners are very friendly. Free Wi-Fi — very fast. Breakfast delicious. Will stay again if come back to this area.

The room had a double and single right next to each other so no privacy, beds were very comfy and quality linen. Breakfast was delicious ☺ the owners were very welcoming and we checked in a little late and they weren't fussed at all.

Comfy bed, very clean accomodation. Loved that we could make tea whenever we liked in the kitchen rather than in our room. Lovely wood fire in the guest lounge with comfy chairs, TV and books etc. Breakfast was good and much like being at home. Cereals, yogurt, toast and jam, cheese, orange juice, eggs and tea/coffee. Anne and Nigel are lovely people. They live just across the road so can pop over and make sure everything is fine for you. We could have bought in food to eat in the kitchen diner but chose to walk 10 minutes to the pub instead. This was such a nice experience. Private and yet a nice relaxed home feel with the lounge and kitchen access. We would definitely return!

I've been past so many times. It's on a big corner block in Sheffield & it looks well laid out but biggest thing for me would to see the wonderful local mountain basically at your doorstep our famous Mount Roland which changes colour & there's 2 walks up the mountain. 1 is for experienced walkers the other is longer but would suit a familiar pack a day pack with wet weather gear & food. Plus there's lots of murals to look at in the town.

A warm and cosy home away from home. Acacia is a beautiful well maintained federation house with good views of the mountains overlooking Sheffield. Rooms are tastefully furnished, beautifully clean and provide all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Owners Ann and Nigel have excellent knowledge of the state which they willingly share with visitors. Accommodation to recommend to family and friends.

My family and I had the good fortune of spending a night here after a long day of hikes and walks. The house is lovely and warm with the furnishing giving it a cosy cottage feel. Rooms are impeccably clean. Our host Nigel was very helpful with providing us information from places to eat, to tips on viewing auroras. Our hearty breakfast was possible with Anne whom prepared a lovely platter of cheese and ham with poached organic eggs (Those chooks would be proud! ). A great place with very warm and helpful service, I look forward to return and stay here in future.
