Shoreline Hotel

Two for lunch in the Cafe. We ordered the beef curry $22 it came out with a lot of rice not much curry sauce and 8 small beef pieces, sent back for more beef but still no more sauce came with it, the sauce was thin and salty and not thickish or nice. We did not finish it.
As we'll We ordered the meat lovers pizza which came out looking nice but when we tried it the crust was cold, how they managed that I will never figure out.
A normal pizza is hard to hold because it is too hot.
Hot.
I complained and got a refund, thanks.
The topping looked great.
We ended up going home for something to satisfy us. Most dissapointing.
Thanks for your reply, re the pizza the other people with us felt the crust and agreed that it was cold, my only question was it cooked when ordered or somehow prepared? Again thanks for replying. My partner loves the restaurant meals and it is one of her goto places to eat.

We just love to dine in at this hotel’s restaurant/cafe. Their prices are reasonable and food tastes amazing. They have plenty of gluten free options, which suits a coeliac like me very well.
Highly recommended!

We dined in The Lounge in the Shoreline Hotel for the first time. Why did we wait so long? It was delightful.
Stunning food as the photos show along with excellent service. We each a different course — stuffed chicken breast, crumbed scallops, seared duck and lamb shanks. Each course was beautifully presented and prepared. And the Lounge is such a comfortable venue. Very cosy on a cold day.
I would recommend the Shoreline Hotel’s Lounge for your next dining experience.

Fantastic meals and value. We had dinner on Sunday night and was so good we went back Monday night. The young staff were fantastic and the BEST Gluten free Chicky Parmi in Australia! The other guests had the normal Parmis and they were just as good. Highly recommend the Aussie Parmi!

This has been gnawing at me (much like the steak served) for two weeks. We had eaten here a few times without incident and it's a nice place with reasonable prices. However, the porterhouse I ordered was not porterhouse. It was a minute steak (and tough). So for $27 I got a tiny piece of meat, chips and coleslaw. Took the (tough) steak back after a few bites (took me a minute – pun intended) to recognise this wasn't porterhouse. Even the waitress said the others she had taken out were small. So I take it back to the boss lady at the bar and she offers me a drink as a "sorry". I said, "no", I want a refund, whip I got. I'd overhead the staff talking and they said because I ordered it well done it probably shrivelled. Ha. Anyway, it ruined the meal and the woman behind the bar wasn't very hospitable (not sure why she's in hospitality). This shows how one lousy experience means I won't return. Quite deceptive practice and it wasn't dealt with well.

Our group of 5 all enjoyed our meals in the dining room. 4 of us took advantage of their 2 courses for $30 lunch options which were from a slightly smaller menu. The fish and chips were nicely cooked, and the portion was more than enough. The panna cotta dessert was deemed delicious.
Would definitely visit again. Great value and great food.

The main lounge was nice and the staff were polite too, but when we arrived in the room and looked inside the toilet, it was blocked with toilet paper and the was still unflushed 💩 in the toilet. When I put my hand on the fly screen the whole thing fell completely off.
The room was honestly not that bad though…

Apparently fully booked and cannot serve food. It appeared as though less than 50% of tables had anyone at them including in the Cafe. Manage your service better! Poor effort!

The room is overpriced for rue $180 we paid for.
The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure good, however it felt cheap and very spartan.
For that money we found better alternatives in our travels in Tassie.

Our table of 4 enjoyed our meals which were well cooked and presented. Staff were friendly and helpful and service was excellent. We requested a wheelchair accessible table when booking online which was a great option with the booking process and the availability of a wheelchair accessible toilet made the whole process much easier for anyone with a disabled guest. Will definitely be returning.

Very disappointing experience caused by poor communication and lack of responsibility from the hotel.
We were never informed in advance that check-in after 10:00pm was not allowed. There was no phone call or email（which they have our phone numbers and email. The only message was sent through Booking at 9:54pm, just minutes before closing, and after we replied, the hotel completely stopped responding.
This directly resulted in us being unable to check in. Refusing any refund while hiding behind a “no-refund policy” after such last-minute and negligent communication is unreasonable and unprofessional.
The way this was handled seriously raises concerns that this approach is being used to take payment without genuinely accommodating guests.

Went to the cafe on Saturday for lunch with some old friends for a Christmas catch up. The service was good no issue there, we ordered our meal when they arrived the fish and chips was a frozen fillet of Whitting a fresh piece of fish would have made a huge difference. There was a roast pork ordered when it arrived it was 2 pork steaks with a burnt thin piece of crackle, not what was advertised at all. All I can say is standards people if you want people to return lift your standards not overly impressed.

I books this venue for 20 line dancers to hold a Christmas Luncheon Party. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Lots of meat and seafood options. I'm vegetarian so there was only a scrumptious calorie laden pizza to choose. Tuesday 9/12/25 Prices: $24.00-$36.00 for mains. $16.00 for desert. Fizz & Sauvignon Blanc $9.50 a glass.
Would Recommend. And will book for a group again.

We regularly visit the cafe and always find the meals to be of a good standard. The small roast is very reasonably priced.
Only downside is something needs to be done about the flies! Not pleasant to be constantly swatting away flies when you are eating.

Went for dinner here with family while on holidays. Great food & variety of drinks available. The outdoor park is great for the kids to play while parents can relax & have dinner. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. The kids didn’t want to leave!

The cafe part was amazingly went there for breakfast. It was big portions for what you pay for. Very good value for money. We'll definitely go again. If you're in the area and you want breakfast, trust me, go here and get a big breakfast. It's worth every cent.

It’s been a fair few years since I last pulled up a pew at The Shoreline, and to their credit, it's had a bit of a glow-up. Fresh paint, new furnishings — you can tell someone’s had a crack at breathing some life back into the place. We parked ourselves in the Café section for dinner, pints in hand and expectations cautiously optimistic.
Speaking of pints, the Guinness was a decent pour — clean glassware, smooth and creamy head. Domagẽ was a touch flat, but honestly still better than other pours I’ve had around town lately.
Dinner was a spread of pub classics: a 200g porterhouse with chips and slaw, a chicken schnitzel with mushroom gravy, and the old faithful parmy — backed up by a side of peppercorn gravy for good measure.
Now, credit where it’s due: the pricing was sharp, with most mains in the mid-$20 range, and the portions were generous. Steak came out cooked to order, schnitzel had that proper crunch — you love to see it.
But that’s about where the compliments run dry.
The parmy sauce tasted more like straight tomato paste than anything else — bitter, acidic, and missing the pub love. The sides were lacklustre too: undressed rocket for salad, and a slaw that tasted like it was about 80% mayonnaise by volume. The gravies across the board were thin, watery, and without much flavour to speak of.
Service was fine — order at the bar, let them know your table number, no dramas — but everything just felt a bit rushed.
