Nice stop off place nice little pool to cool off friendly staff.

Loved our stay here. Pool was a hit with kids, secure park, great service, tidy and clean rooms! Would definitely stay again.

Average accommodations. Great that this hotel has family rooms. Visited in July. Pool was so cold and not swimmable. Guest service at front desk was spotty. Sometimes friendly, sometimes not so. Internet access not always working. Rooms were relatively clean. Reasonsble assortment of essential foods and goodies in the reception area. Golf course out the back. Taxi ride into town is around $9 AUD (07 2018).

Nice place. Only has one person behind desk so may not get served immediately. Accommodation a bit dated but adequate.

Considering the low prices, the amenities are lovely, the location is central but on the peaceful side of the river and the staff are very friendly.

My door cannot be locked and I have asked the reception twice to come and check, and the lady just went home without even asking if I have solved the problem. Now I have an open door here and I cannot find any staff in the complex. It’s only 8 pm. I am desperate. The worst service ever.

A credit to the management and housekeeping team. Very well kept facilities and amenities. Neat, friendly, inviting pool and a nicely stocked convenience corner to buy a few little knick knacks to keep your hunger pangs in check. Nice restaurant too. Love the place. We love Alice Springs!

The pool is right on the road but otherwise everything is very good.

The bungalows are pretty good. May lack a bit of modernism but overall I know it for one or two nights. Great pool very nice.

A little shabby… terrible baths.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The villa we stayed is comfortable, clean and spacious even for 4 adults! The kitchenette is functional and the verandah makes a great space for relaxing at the end of a hot day. The pool is great for cooling down on hot days. The place has a lovely ‘resort’ feel and we felt really safe with the after-hours gated access to the property. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Overall decent stay. Cabins are a bit older, and the A/C only functioned for a very limited range, but there's everything you need. Staff was friendly. Location is ~20mins from city center, so if you're coming off a tour and want to go for dinner or drinks it will cost you ~10AUD to go to the city by taxi. Ideal for families, not necessarily couples only or individual travellers.

Nice clean & comfortable. Only stayed overnight so didn't get to make use of pool which looked very inviting.

More beautiful outside than inside, the whole is small.

Structure that offers independent casini called VILLA that offer everything for a comfortable stay with a lot of privacy. The center is only 15 minutes of beautiful walk along the river almost always dry.

The place is good my advise is you can build the houses in apartment or build higher the houses.

The staff are so fantastic. The rooms are great, mattress is comfortable and the bathrooms clean and showers hot. Kitchen is great and has l the basics you need to cook, saves you unpacking yours.

Nice outside atmosphere but rooms (villas) are too small for more than 2 people. Good free Wi-Fi, nice swimming pool. Not too friendly reception staff.

Delightful design of the whole place; friendly reception service oriented, helping immediately with miscellaneous requests… But the pipes make a screeching noise when one takes a shower, and if it is your neighbour you surely wake up. Very annoying!

Quiet and pleasant setting in the midst of palm trees. The rooms are in clean, air-conditioned chalets. Presence of a swimming pool in the hotel.

Comfortable and clean. A technology dead spot though. Wi-Fi often won't connect and when it does unusably slow. Most webpages won't load at all. My phone with optus barely gets a signal. TV even keeps losing signal.

I stayed here for 28 days at my companies expense. The 'self contained' villas are barely apropriate, the extraction fan in the kitchenette never worked. The bedside lamps never worked. The tap in this so called kitchenette dripped continously the whole time I stayed there, dispite repeated requests to have the washer changed. But they didn't hesitate to fleece me of $220 when my room key was misplaced. I recommend you stay somewhere else.

I've stated here a few times. The room I stayed in had a heater that didn't work. However camping was cheap the second time and quiet being just out of town a bit.

Well I stayed two nights in this "resort" and from the minute I arrived, I wanted to leave. A young lady in reception was the rudest person I have ever met. My company had advised prior to me attending that I was going to be in early and that I would pay extra for a room (it was even on the booking slip in the office! ). The advertised price was $89, I was charged $121.50 per night! Then when I got there, I was THROWN a map and told that I could not get into a room until after 2pm and just walk to town. Due to the fact I could not get changed and did not feel like walking to town in Jeans and a shirt, I decided to sit in the shade beside the pool. Well if you do this, please do not go to reception and buy a drink. As there is no such thing as service with a smile. Then when finally allocated a room (at 1.30pm after advising Damian that I had been waiting since 9.30am), I proceeded to a room that stank of stale smoke. Checked the TV and oh look no reception. The sinks stank of rotting food, sheets had stains on them and the carpet was disgusting. Tie that in with broken and unsafe lamps and this was just "great"! When walking anyway in the grounds, watch out for the young dark haired "man" as the way he drives the company ute and golf buggy with speed it would beat Mark Webber. I left my room from 8am and returned at 3.30 only to find that someone had been in there! It must have been housekeeping as the bed was made BUT nothing else was done.

From the moment we got picked up from the airport, Desert Palms Resort looked after us. The cabins were great. I read below they were dirty. But ours were all fine — neat and tidy. They recommended a three day rock trip, and even with a really late return, our baggage had been put back into our rooms and beds turned down. After 3 days of dirt. Their extra effort to make us feel great was really appreciated :) I would definitely recommend Desert Palms as THE PLACE TO STAY in Alice Springs.
