Loved staying here so welcoming, friendly and clean.
Pool was wonderful after a long day driving and breakfast was absolutely lovely.
We’ve decided that Shady Rest Motel will be our halfway stop over from now on.

Very friendly welcoming service. Motel rooms spotlessly clean and perfectly comfortable. I look forward to my next stay. Breakfast service as an additional option, perfect for business and family.

For the price you pay it is not worth the stay.

The lovely lady was awesome n very helpful.
she was happy to let me park my race car n trailer in her own carport so it wasnt sitting out on the road.

We stayed here a week ago and Barbara made us most welcome and went out of her way to help us. Rooms were very clean and comfortable… and lovely white decent sized towels. We thought it was very good value for money. Win.

Nice place — cheap but not cheap — Great for a stop over — close to shops — small drive — 5 min — you do hear the odd truck go by — might be hard to leave the doors or windows open — I would stay again.

Lovely motel in central location. Owners were both extremely polite and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Convenient parking right out front of room with partial cover. Would definitely stay again.

Wes and Judy are very welcoming and friendly people the only reason I didn't give them the 5 stars is that I had some mini cochroach's crawling up my legs, only 2 or 3 that disturbed my sleep but besides this I'll definitely will be back and the rooms are clean and it's quiet here too.

Hi anyone and everyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Gympie Qld. We have just returned from a trip up that way and I was very very happy with the friendly service that I was greeted with. Great clean facilities including pool and bbq area in a quiet location. Our room was a family room and was clean neat and very well presented with a wonderful hot shower (for those who enjoy a hot shower). This motel is located at the North end of Gympie but was within a short drive to many destinations — for us we went up to research property and schools for a potential move into the area. The hosts Wes and Judy were very helpful with local information and fantastic recommendations. Oh by the way were also very understanding to my needs. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful place to stay that felt like a home away from home.
