When we arrived the greeting by the receptionist was very welcoming and pleased to see us. Very helpful and friendly The room was amazing. Perfect size, very cosy, clean! The breakfast was amazing, it tasted fabulous, very relaxing and the waitress was so great. Always smiling and happy whenever we seen her! The location is unreal and magical. Not a single negative about it. It was the perfect weekend away.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. We thought the property and setting was just beautiful. The rooms and amenities were lovely in great condition. Breakfast was more than we were expecting, it was delicious. And the staff were just lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely come again!

We had a beautiful time at the Escarpment Retreat. The area is quiet and set away from the townships. The cabins are close together but privacy is preserved through well positioned greenery. There is a little walk to 'Lover's view' at the edge of the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous room and bath. It was so lovely to have some quiet time together and would definitely recommend the escarpment to anyone. Breakfast was excellent, and the whole experience was very good value for money. Staff were polite and knowledgeable.

The room is spacious, elegant and very comfortable. The service is great at the reception. I had an hour of full body massage, it was a very pleasant experience. The day spa room creates a very calm atmosphere. My experience was great at escarpment retreat. I love how relaxing it is to stay there.

A beautiful stay. Exactly what we needed. The staff were so helpful & friendly & respectful of our space. The room was exquisite. Having our own gigantic spa was a very much needed treat. We also enjoyed having access to a private media / cinema room for the evening. Didn't have to go anywhere! Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and absolutely loved the fire place and spa bath. Was the perfect vibe to relax and unwind. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and loved the choices of hot meals. Staff were very friendly and very helpful of things to do and see.

Our three night stay was the perfect getaway. Quiet room with a very comfortable bed, warming fireplace and a double spa bath — perfect for relaxing with a bottle of champagne. Breakfasts served in the dining area are delicious and filling but would love the option of room service. A truly relaxing break and would recommend to all.

The Villa's were lovely and beautifully maintained and having your own private spa bath is so relaxing as well as to be able to sit in front of your own log fire was just a wonderful warm treat. The gardens surrounding the property were just a delight to walk around, what a stunning place the Escarpment Retreat really is. The food and service was excellent, beautiful prepared, great choices and plenty of it. Thank you for looking after us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we look forward to returning.

Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. Check-in and check-out was seamless. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was AMAZING! I loved the scrambled eggs and my partner loved the pancakes. The room was very very nice. Decor was lovely, gave the room a very homey feel. The bed was comfortable. The fireplace was great! Once you got a good fire going, there was no need to turn the heater on at all. The spa bath, my favourite! Perhaps toiletries could have been better. Maybe use the same products as the spa, organic products to go with the theme of eco-friendly.

We were given our stay at The Escarpment Retreat by our children for our Anniversary It was one of the most relaxing couple of days we had experienced. The setting is wonderful and the villas fit into the surroundings perfectly. The food was very tasteful and well presented. Our night at the movie with our cheese platter and wine was excellent. We found Peter and Tessa to be excellent hosts and will certainly recommend The Retreat to others.

This was the perfect romantic getaway. We loved the close attention to detail — inclusions like the champagne and chocolates, served in the fancy little holder, on arrival. The room decor was warm, romantic and very elegant and tasteful. The breakfast room and lounge was so picturesque and our breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Service was second to none and we will definitely be making many return trips!

The Escarpment is a wonderful retreat. So relaxing, and peaceful. This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Four poster bed, log fire. It's easy to believe you are the only people in the retreat.

Breakfast was great and the level of service at breakfast was exceptional. Sorry, I don't know her name but the lady who takes the orders and brings the breakfast to the table has great hospitality skills. I feel extremely relaxed after our little getaway to The Escarpment.

Exceptional. The whole resort caters for a romantic getaway. The breakfast and dinner menu is fantastic. The villas are quiet, private, clean, well catered and spacious, especially with wood fire place that keeps you warm on any cold day. The day spa and staff really looked after their clientle. The gold class cinema had a range of movies and great for a couple.

We stayed at the Escarpment Retreat as part of our 10th wedding anniversary, and couldn't have chosen a better place to be. It started with Champagne on arrival, and a very gracious welcome from Peter, and only got better when we got to our room, which was just perfect. Very spacious, but still cosy, and the fire place added to the warm atmosphere. We enjoyed dinner in our room the first night, and then adjourned to the cinema with wine in hand to relax for the rest of the evening. A beautiful breakfast was delivered to our room the next morning, and then we were off to all that Mt Tamborine has to offer. Just walking around the grounds of the retreat provides many beautiful vistas, including the cascading water from the pool to the waterfall, and the amazing views down the valley. We couldn't fault anything during our stay and will definitely be back as soon as possible.

It was a wonderful beautiful place, that was so romantic for me and my fiancto spend our annervirsity :) the dinner was amazing and the breakfest the best we've ever had. The views were spectacular and the vibe was just the best. It was really clean, quiet and relaxing. The environment was so friendly and the Spa was amazing.

The overall experience was excellent. The rooms were ideal for a quiet get away from our children. The retreat was wonderfully presented and the staff could not have been more accomodationg. The breakfast was also a highlight, freshly cooked… hard to beat! The surrounding area was also really nice with an abundance of cafes, breweries, restaurants etc to frequent. The ropes course at thunderbird park was the icing on the ckae. Great few days overall.

Stunning little villas, hidden away in a secluded spot on beautiful Mount Tamborine. The room was warm and cozy with gorgeous exposed beams and dark wooden floors. An amazing place to spend your wedding night! 10/10. Thank you for putting the cherry on top of our incredible wedding. We could not have been happier!

Ideal… I spent 2 nights in one of the villas and just loved it! It was so close to the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast but so happily situated in an almost rainforest. The villa was homely but sophisticated and we loved to snuggle up by the toasty fire. The breakfast was amazing and just walking through the grounds so refreshing with an amazing view at the edge of the property. The staff were professional and welcoming and we can't wait to return!

Everything about our Escarpment Retreat experience was wonderful. Booking the room was simple and we were provided with all the information we needed without having to search for it. We were given wine and chocolates on arrival and the room was beautiful and clean, just like the pictures on the website. Both the double spa bath and shower were very spacious and the bed was a true king size (not 2 singles jammed together). Housekeeping serviced the room daily with fresh, soft towels and more wood for the fire. Breakfast was served at a reasonable hour (not too early) in a peaceful dining room and the food, tea and juices were delicious. Every encounter with staff was pleasant and helpful, including reception, housekeeping, wait staff and the masseur. The location is gorgeous with a lookout on the grounds and easy access between our room and public areas, yet we still had that private and secluded feeling in and around our villa. Most of the days we went out to eat and explore on the other side of the mountain which is only a short (and scenic) drive. We will be back!

Simply marvellous! I had planned to propose to my girlfriend and there could not be any other place more beautiful than the villas and the surroundings at this place. The managers Tess and Peter were absolutely wonderful and ever so helpful in making everything "fit" into place! The ammenities were very clean, the spa was perfect for two, breakfast was delicious and the Views Frm the edge house is breathtakingly beautiful! Highly recommended place for couples! We'll definitely come back again!

Hands down, the best getaway stay for anyone who are tired of the 100miles per hour city life and/or looking to recharge. Rooms were as shown in the pictures and only comes with pleasant surprises. Every staff member was very friendly. The only dissapoinment we had was that we couldnt stay longer. Thanks for your sevice guys and you are highly recommended.

The facilities are 5 star and the service is next to none. Tess, Peter and Deb just couldn't do enough for us. A standout for me is how welcoming and pleasant all the staff were making time to chat and to guide us with details about the facilities and what extras were on offer. We were impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room furnishings including the pristine conditions of the gardens. Breakfast was something to die for with the food being cooked in-house including fresh produce on the menu each day. We will recommend this venue to all our friends and hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful time, the villa was beautiful and well equipt, the scenery was stunning and the service was great! The only thing I would have changed is I would have liked the nights to be cooler so we could use the fire place we would absolutely love to stay again and if we could win the house that would be amazing. An absolutely beautiful place stay, with a romantically furnished, spacious room and tranquil Japanese style gardens surrounding you. Our hosts were friendly and tried hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Even our beautifully cooked breakfasts were adjusted to suit our individual requests. The Escarpment Retreat was also perfectly located, with only a 30 min drive to the Gold Coast beaches, or only minutes drive to anywhere on Tamborine Mountain for restaurants, rainforest walks or boutique shopping. The view from the deck, at the Retreat's private lookout was amazing and perfect to watch the sunset while sipping a glass of wine. A truly wonderful stay!

Absolutely Wonderful! A beautiful calming retreat with everything you need. Warm welcome, delicious breakfast and impeccable service. We loved the fire place, huge spa with private garden & to walk through the grounds was breathe taking. A very relaxing 2 nights stay. From the complementary champagne to the wonderful night in the private theater room, well we couldn't has ask for a better way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary. The time at Escarpment has been important to me to rejuvente after much stress and to share some quality time with my Husband. The Retreat is absolutely stunning, service is without question personal, intimate and resounding excellence. Breakfast was amazing. I would love to have the opportunity to stay longer, I certainly do not want to go home.

The Escarpment retreat delivered genuine old fashioned hospitality, it was as if we were family members. The cabins were so romantic, fireplace spa bath, veranders overlooking stunning garden views, the lovers walk and view was magnificent, the day spa offered treatments better than any I have had in my lifetime, the most relaxing hour and a half I have enjoyed in years, the main lounge and fireplace bought a touch of Hollywood, with the fabulous zebra print couches, reading nooks with sun streaming through the high glass windows, I was in heaven. To see laden avocado trees alongside camelias and many other glorious flowering trees, manicured hedges, waterfalls, the list goes on, but bottom line, everyone needs a little Escarpment time before they depart to yhe other heaven.

An excellent standard of cleanliness and a restful time away. Lovely accommodation, great position, welcoming staff and wonderful resort facilities. Just what we needed to relax and recharge. Wonderful relaxing experience with fantastic ammenities. Throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends. Will hopefully be coming back.

The Escarpment is a destination that we came too to just relax without thinking or doing. It was us "just being" and it brought us together as a couple and remember what a relationship is about. It was a great earthy experience and highly recommended to the true romantics and lovers. Incredibly relaxing. One of the best places I have stayed.

Very relaxing, quiet and romantic accomodation. The service is second to none. The surrounding bush makes it very private. The food is excellent too! Even though we only stayed one night, by the time we left we felt so relaxed we thought we had been there for days! We are very happy and will definitely be coming back.

We loved our stay at the Escarpment Retreat the whole experience was so intimate, peaceful and relaxing. We had dinner bought to our villa and it was absolutely divine. The breakfast was superb with your request cooked on request in a beautiful dining room overlooking the gorgeous sitting room with lounges and the most amazing fire place. It felt so peaceful and like you were the only ones around, absolutely loved it and would recommend this experience to all couples.

VIP treatment from arrival to departure — warm welcome with champagne and chocolates, private cozy room with log fire and a huge movie selection, wonderful pampering options and specials, beautiful scenery and lots of adventures to be had in the area whether its visiting the local gallery or popping into St Bernard's hotel for a refreshing afternoon drink. Loved every moment of my visit and will be coming back very soon.

A wonderfully relaxing place to escape to. The room was comfortable with the spa bath a truly decadent addition. The breakfast was scrumptious and generous, with fresh produce obviously used. The breakfast area was well set out with quality linen, cutlery and crockery used. The staff were very accommodating and available. The views from the Lovers View were spectacular and this was a lovely area to sit and sip some local wines late in the afternoon. Our experience in the Day Spa was an extra indulgence well worth the experience.

We loved our stay at The Escarpment Retreat. The gardens were lush and gorgeous, our room was perfect for our little getaway especially loving the fireplace and four poster bed which was so comfortable. We loved the brekky that was included, I have been craving the deliciousness ever since we have been home, back to cereal :). The location was terrific. We also really enjoyed meeting Carolynne and she was extremenly friendly, welcoming and helpful. I wish we had been able to try out the massage facilities as I have heard amazing things. Maybe next time. I highly recommend staying at the Escarpment Retreat, my hubby and I had a fabulous stay.

Beautiful surroundings. What a pleasure to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping. The staff friendly and very helpful. The villas warm and inviting and oh that wonderful bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and I would not hesitate to invite our friends to experience a little luxury at escarpment. 9/10 (only because I am always being told at work when time to do reviews on my staff that nobody is a ten).

My husbands health has not been 100% lately and also his birthday was coming up and when I seen this on the internet I knew this is what we needed. The Escarpment is so beautiful and peaceful the rooms were so lovely just to my taste, love the look of the rooms. Breakfast everyday was WOW we loved it everything so fresh and cooked to perfection. Lady serving us breakfast everyday was so lovely and was so nice to see a friendly face in the morning. We also booked the cinema for Saturday night and was great. I was going to take a blanket because there was a chill in the air and to my surprise you thought of everything two warm soft blankets already there. Our stay was perfect we really needed it and was great to explore Mt Tamborine as well we loved it and will be back again. Thankyou for a beautiful stay.

Escarpment was a relaxing, peaceful getaway from everything. The Villa was very comfortable and roomy and our log fire certainly got a work out. We enjoyed our glass of champagne and chocolates on arrival and breakfast each morning was a great kick start for the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days and felt we had been there for a week.

The Escarpment on Mt Tamborine is the perfect place relax and let the stress of everyday life leave you behind. Both luxurious and secluded, Escarpment is the perfect blend of a private retreat with scenic veiws to die for while also being very central all the good stuff the mountain has to offer. Gary who checked us in had a wealth of insider knowledge that made our choices much easier when deciding what to see durinf our visit. It won't be long before we return and would highly recommend this retreat to anyone wanting the perfect getaway.

Absolutely Amazing it was just how I planned it I wanted a romantic setting as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and we have never been on our romantic weekend before and the Encarpment was just perfect. On arrival we were given a glass of champange and chocolates, our first impression of the room was wow the spa overlooking the bush and the four posted king size bed was amazing and very comfortable. We also loved the massage it was so relaxing I was also impressed with the service at Escarpments was the breakfast being a coeliac I was worried as this was my first time away since I started eating gluten free. Carolynne was a amazing and told me what was gluten free and bread was the nicest gluten free bread I have eaten and the breakfast was delicious.

It was a sophisticated, well managed, luxurious and peaceful haven amongst beautifully scenic surroundings. There was friendly, efficient service. We were in absolute bliss and it was a bittersweet farewell on our last morning. We will definitely be recommending the escarpment to all our friends. It was an amazing experience and escape from reality.
