Amazing B&B my wife and I stayed in the Daintree room, it has amazing views over the rainforest. Massive double spa, spacious room, Netflix available. The included breakfast was delicious and I do recommend the black pudding. 5/5 I highly recommend staying here.

We had a really nice couple of nights away, the new owners Jill and Mel were really friendly and perfect hosts. We stayed in the safari room which had the most amazing views, private deck, huge spa bath and comfy bed. Delicious brekky homemade each morning and all amenities you could need. Thank you for having us!

Had a wonderful stay here just before Christmas with friends, Clive was a welcoming and congenial host, nothing was too much trouble, very clean and comfortable rooms, tasty breakfasts and good information regarding food and local activities. We will return sometime, came home refreshed, many thanks, Barbara and Bill… appreciated the lovely avocados we were given to take home.

It's a very good hotel. Comfortable and clean rooms can see the balcony view of the valley the owner made the breakfast kind of like his family is really as if to go home on vacation, especially reluctant to really want to have the opportunity to go back to live.

This divine B&B is an absolute treasure. From the time we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our hosts Richard and Cheryl, who during our stay treated us as valued guests. We were served a fabulous breakfast each morning and finished our day with a glass of complimentary Port in the magnificent common lounge area where we just sank into the plush comfortable lounges to relax. Our room, the Safari room was just perfect. The bed was so very comfortable with beautifully pressed fine linen, the spa bath was a real treat and the sunsets MAGNIFICENT. After two days we did not want to leave. We will be back for sure… Richard and Cheryl to to be highly commended on their attention to every detail at Avocado Sunset… Our stay was truly one we will treasure for a very long time. We had this suggested to us as the place to go. We had quite a wet drive from Brisbane on our bikes and was wet as and cold, when we got there. First impression was a locked door. After 15 minutes wait and several calls we got the code to lock ourselves in. It seemed that the owners was out to lunch (we arrived a 2pm). Not the best start. We had booked the Oriental room and it looked nice with 2 rooms. Nice and clean. It was promoted with a fireplace and a spa with a view to the forest. Well there was no firewood so we was left without the a warm fire which we could have used after the cold and wet drive. The bathroom has a nice big window out to the forest but there is also a staircase leading into the garden. So we quickly closed the curtains to get some privacy. When Richard got home he let us park the bikes in the carport which was nice and we walked to the main street for dinner (about 2K). One thing we didn't get with the Oriental room is why the the bed is in the first room up against the entry wall. Every time someone walks in or out of the main entry you get disturbed. We would suggest to move the lounge into the first room and the bed into the second room for more privacy. Regrading the bed I think it's time they buy a new mattress. We could feel the springs and didn't get that nice relaxing sleep we had hoped for. We're glad we didn't book the recommended 2 nights because we couldn't sleep proper. The breakfast was nice.

Recent 5 day stay with my hubbie at the end of our honeymoon. What a stunningly beautiful property, with amazing views from the terrace. Cheryl and Richard were away, but their ‘stand ins’, Wendy and John, were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and our stay was utterly relaxing. We really enjoyed our drinks with our hosts on the last evening, and the sneaky cuddles with Purdy. Cheryl and Richard, your property couldn’t be in better hands during your holiday. I hope you enjoyed your trip as much as we did ours. Highly recommended and thoroughly deserving of 5 stars. Only way to improve it would be wild koalas in the garden!

Great B&B with fantastic hosts. The rooms were spacious and the view was fantastic as advertised. As an extra bonus they have a lovely sitting room tha you can relax in the evening.

The Avocado Sunset is everything and more that you would want. Great views, tremendous breakfast, lovely rooms. Most of all, Richard and Cheryl do their utmost to make your stay the best it could be. We are coming back and bringing some friends.

This is our 2nd visit to Avocado Sunset for our anniversary weekend getaway. We cannot speak highly enough of this venue and its hosts Richard & Cheryl. This bed and breakfast is just breathtaking. The view, the rooms, the amazing scrambled eggs and the owners make it the most relaxing getaway you can have. We have stayed in the Daintree Room and the Safari Room (both rooms have their own balcony and the most amazing views). Both rooms are beautiful. We loved that the safari room had its own fireplace and enjoyed the experience it gave. We also love the amazing bathroom in the Daintree Room. You can't go wrong with either choice. Do yourself a favour and book a weekend getaway here. Other tips is book in advance a couple massage at The getaway day spa. This really makes a relaxing weekend a luxurious experience. I would also recommend stopping at Witches cheese factory at the end of gallery walk and get some yummy cheese for your afternoon drinks on the balcony as you take in the amazing views of the Avocado Sunset. Gorgeous location, clean comfortable room, delicious food and the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

We have just spent the last couple of days at this property. We found it to be just perfect for our getaway. The hosts Richard and Cheryl are very welcoming and professional and so friendly. The views to the mountains are lovely. The location is easy to find and so peaceful. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast included in our price. We used Sunset Avocado for my husband's family to stay for our wedding in August on the mountain. They were very accomodating, very kind, views were unbelievable & the food was great. The rooms were fantastic and they also let all the groomsmen get ready on the day of the wedding, Richard & Cheryl were fantastic hosts and we look forward to staying there ourselves over the coming months. Thanks again guys!
