My family and I stayed for just under 2 weeks and we enjoyed our stay the location and staff were fantastic and very helpful, the property was great and we a fantastic view over the wharf and across the channel to the hills.
sorry I had to leave a dozen Coronas in the fridge hope you guys drink them and enjoy.

The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The views are nice. It is near to centre of Cairns.

Here's a few things I experienced; Two of the TV's don't work in the rooms. (1 TV is not turning on and the other TV doesn't have any signal) The windows have no flyscreens and theres no fans in the toilet/shower. Theres presence of mold in the bathrooms. Towels are forbidden to be used for beach/reef trips… sucks if you plan on visiting the reef. They give you two rolls of toilet paper for 5 guests for 5 days and charge $2 a roll if you need more. They charge $25 for every 15 minutes that you're late for check-out. They make you take recycling and most rubbish down to the ground floor bins. The fans in the rooms don't work (fan setting speed "1" is non-functional) The airconditioning is temperamental and doesnt keep a steady temperature in the master bedroom. The plastic plants are covered in thick dust and look horribly fake and cheap/tacky… one plant is disintegrating and falling apart. Very dangerous for small children (i. E choking hazard). The dishwasher takes two tablets at a cost of $2 each. Taps are leaky. The soap holder in the shower is very loose and rusty. The plug/drain in the master bathroom sink has dislodged andcseparated from its fitting. I would love to give this apartment a good rating, but it clearly lacks behind and requires more. Definitely not value for money, nor what is advertised — I paid $1, 500 for 5 days stay.

Great facilities and good view. The staff were very friendly and accomodating as well. Recommended for a stay in Cairns.

Great location with views across the river and easy stroll to everything in Cairns. Very quiet rooms for a good night sleep.

Really bad customer service. Rang to book in and was told by the Manager they were really busy. I told him he could book me in and get back to me. When they finally call me back they are booked out! Would not stay here ever again. First impressions — negative!

Great location but Not well maintained, poor electrical fixtures and poor furniture maintenance.

Great price. Close to shopping and eating places. Friendly and helpful manager and staff. Apartment well set out snd great kitchen facilities.

I did a fair amount of research and went with Jack & Newell. From my first interaction with them it was fantastic. J&N is an apartment, which means you do not get daily room service and turndown, etc. You get a lot of space (we had a 1200 sf two bedroom with 2 baths), a large sit out balcony, a fully stocked kitchen (I mean they had olive oil, soy sauce, spices, plastic boxes to carry out sandwiches, aluminum foil, and you name it! ). The unit was clean, bright, spacious and well maintained. They have a washer and dryer in the unit. We enjoyed the space, the hospitality of the managers and also their recommendations on what to do and where to eat/go. I would recommend booking your tours through them since they are able to give you better prices than you can get even online. The location is fantastic — just 5-10 mins from the Esplanade. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great apartments, beautifully furnished, so clean and a fantastic view from the balcony. Great people, David was a gem. Nothing was ever a problem and his knowledge of the area and recommendations of where to eat and what to do was second to none. A great sense of humour as well and he made us feel right at home. thanks again:-)

5 out of 5! Ended up staying here after finding a great deal on the web for a week long stay in a three bedroom self contained apartment. Safe to say we were not disappointed! The décor and presentation of the unit was clean and modern, centrally located with only a short walk to restaurants, shops and pubs. The views over the Trinity Inlet were incredible! Would recommend this to family's and couples of all ages.

Jack and Newell is 6 stars out of 5. I loved my stay here. The room was so well decorated and very clean! It was right in the middle of town and close to the esplanade and water. David and Joelette, the managers there were helpful, bubbly and kind. It was the perfect way to end my trip across northern Queensland. I'd recommend J&N to anyone and will definitely be back!
