What a place to stay! This was my second stay at globetrotters and once again it didn’t disappoint. The place is clean, quiet and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The pool is great when you want to cool off and the kitchens have everything you need. We ended up staying nearly a week over our planned stay. The owners Brian and Linda are spot on and nick the manager does absolutely everything he can to help you out. 10/10.

Really nice hostel. No bunk beds, all the beds in our room were singles. Clean, nice swimming pool area, a lot of activities! And nice staff, ready to help you make the best of your stay in Cairns!

Very clean and quiet hostel. Free breakfast (pancakes, toast and cereal) and free barbecue twice a week. Rooms and bathrooms cleaned daily. Personal fridge lockers. Small pool and a gaming station.

Globetrotters International was a great stay. Really kind staff that smile and the people staying at the place were very welcoming. The rooms were clean upon arrival and the kitchen area as well as the outdoor facilities (pool/garden) were clean too. Definitely one of the best hostels in Cairns.

It’s hands down the best hostel I’ve been to in a long time, what an awesome stay! The staff, the location, the beds, the lobby/hangout spots. It had laundry on site, decent kitchen, price was awesome and showers were clean to! Helluva hostel! Definitely recommend.

One of the best hostel in Australia! I’ve been in 7 hostels across this country and this one is the best one. Everything is clean, quiet, the breakfast is included (toasts, pancakes, cereals, milk, coffee, tea…) and the Wi-Fi is fast. Like at home: very fast! You can see Netflix and download files in the same time without issue. I recommend this hostel!

This hotel is really clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and kindness, just a little far walk to city, if you want to cheap and clean's backpacker, it is a good choice!

I came to Globetrotters with the intentions of leaving the next day; 3 months later and I finally managed to say goodbye to this majestical palace of dreams. Only a short walk away from Cairns central, Globetrotters is ideal for those wanting to stay somewhere short/long-term without the hassle of sleepless nights. The company and staff are friendly, inviting and most of all, fun! From the moment I arrived I felt like part of the community. The breakfast is amazing and the pancakes are insane, not to mention all the other free events the hostel organise! There really is no question about it; Globetrotters International is the best hostel Cairns has to offer!

I don’t even know where to start, I love this hostel, really clean and modern, by far the best we have stayed in throughout our travels in Australia. The free breakfast is great, such a great value for money. My favourite part is there is soo much room for cooking and the fridge lockers are such a good idea to ensure everyone has room. The pool glows a really cool blue at night and is equipped with pool noodles and a ball, the TV with dvds. I could go on for hours because it really is that great. I think the only improvement I would suggest is putting bins with lids in the toilets, it hasn’t been that plesant seeing used feminine hygiene products to greet you hanging out of bins (more other people’s lack of courtesy than the hostel but still there is always one). But other than that an amazing hostel great location, great amenities, the free bbq is lovely and the night out thIng on Wednesdays. If we are ever back on this side of the world and in cairns it’s the first place we will book. Private rooms are so nice too.

This was my favorite hostel in all of Australia. The rooms were fine but what made this place was the people: everyone here was so awesome. I have stayed in touch with more people from this hostel than any other I have stayed at.

Loved staying in this hostel! Met a lot of great people! Kate the assistant manager was awesome and we had a ton of laughs with her. My fiend Katy and I were definitely satisfied and happy with our stay! We would extend our stay and stay longer at this hostel if we didn't already have flights booked to Brisbane! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this hostel! Both Kate and Nick are wonderful! Danielle the breakfast girl is awesome and so cheery in the morning!

Gorgeous hostel, very clean and organised. Lots of deals with local bars and restaurants, especially the $10 meal deals! The receptionists are very helpful and lovely. The Assistant Manager Kate was very helpful and booked us on some great tours! Had a ton of laughs with Kate, great sense of humour! Nick the manager really went the extra mile to make us feel satisfied with our stay! Highly recommend this hostel!

One of the best hostels ever!
Really an amazing place, the staff is great, there is plenty of room to chill, there are plenty of kitchens and they are really clean (! ), there is a great garden area with swimming pool, what else do you want?
I liked the hostel because it wasnt a party hostel: its nice and chilled, but theres always a group going out if you feel like it. Ive met loads of awesome people in this hostel, and I even worked for accommodation here, what a great place! 5/5 would visit again Oh and the game corner with the Wii (and PS3) is awesome.

Good welcoming but not much information about the services provided. However, I was a bit in a rush, arriving very late and leaving very early. Therefore, I didn't have much opportunity to see anything or talk with the staff apart from the essential. Excellent location, very close from the sea shore and not far from nice restaurants and cafes.

I haven't lived in a lot of hostels but this is by far the cleanest! Very nice! The staff is very nice and helpfull, trying their best to make your stay the best!
Beeing 45 years old, I can recommend this for pepole my age aswell.

Great friendly staff with the owners continually doing preventative maintenance to ensure guests have the best facilities available.

This place is really chill and relaxing and is SUPER clean! Loved my stay here many perks and they staff are friendly and chill. I cannot stress how clean this hostel is its amazing. The fridges are so organized and you get your own security box in them. Keeps things clean and organized. There is 3 kitchens and showers and bathrooms all over. The pool is great too and there is many places to lay down and relax. The only down side is they seem to have a Pharaoh Ant problem so keep your food in the fridge or you'll soon find this 1mm ants all over your food. I do not blame this on the hostel as these ants are impossible to destroy and are harmless.

I had to lovely days in this Hostel. The Staff was friendly and helpful. Once our bathroom wasn't clean it was just a short notice giving to the reception and there was quick somebody coming to clean it. I love the system of having your own fridge locker and kitchen stuff, with that you can make sure that your plates, pans etc are clean, the kitchen is easier to keep clean and nobody is eating your food :) breakfast was enough and if you come at the right time you even get pancakes :) would definitely stay there again.

Easily one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in and definitely the best in Cairns. Globetrotters has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, good facilities and is always kept clean and tidy. It has everything you might need if you are visiting town for a few days, (pool, hammock area, free BBQ, breakfast) and is only a ten-minute walk from the centre. They also offer a shuttle bus that is free of charge to most places in town. If you decide to stay long term they offer a great work for accommodation policy and it soon feels like a home. I’ve stayed in this hostel on two occasions now and you can’t beat the place or the people. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Really good location, near restaurants and attractions, very friendly staff, good common areas, with videogames and TVs.

Globetrotters was my home for two months and will always have a place in my heart. I recommend it to any of my friends planning to travel to Australia.

Great Hostel with great amenities such as pool, kitchens and a lounge with good internet. Everything is clean and the size of the rooms are OK. No bunk beds in dorms which is good as well. Free breakfast included. Working for accommodation was possible for us.

All said and done this was great for the price. We loved it and would say it was the best hostel we have stayed in Australia, and we have stayed it a lot!

— VERY DIRTY HOSTEL —
Italian: hostel filthy with ants, cockroaches and bugs everywhere! Bedroom, kitchen etc.
The pool had to be beautiful instead was filthy! Never had a bath! Staff asleep. But the staff that cleans everything (backpacker with the room free) did a bad service. Changed to one week only once the basket and upon arrival our room wasn't made! The bathrooms. Some splash of cleaner and go! Musica a bomb while cleaning! BUT the WORST THING: why seal the Fernandez at 10 pm?!?! It makes no sense! If one works or do you need something?!? For noise is ok cause nobody messes after the 9:30-10:00 pm The pots and the food you keep in your room or scrub Board.
Icing? On the final day instead of give me the deposit I have scaled 30aud other 30! And I had to go back! Never again.

Good value, Wi-Fi was nice but they have a horrible system where the fridge is filled with locked safes for which you have to pay. Also no free pots and cutlery which apparently is normal in Australia but is an extra inconvenience since their reception opening hours are bad. 10 bed dorm could use more vetilation. Private rooms looked really good though and lounge area is good.

Our beds had a significant amount of ants in them, which makes sense because the rooms looked like they were never cleaned. The bathroom was also disgusting, although not nearly as disgusting as the kitchen. The good news is that if you're a smoker, they don't really seem to care about the "No smoking" rules. I very much regret the night I spent there and the 3 nights of rent that they got from me.

Really nice hostel cheap rooms, comfy beds kitchen and bathrooms cleaned every day Air Conditioning cost $1 but that ok because they room price is cheap you can even turn the A/C off when you go out and the remaining credit stay there so when you come back you dont have to pay again. The first room I booked the A/C didnt seem to work so I told the reception and they sent a guy up to fix it turned out somebody had jammed the wrong coin in the box even though it cleary states $1 or $2 only! Meet some really nice people here who I have continued to stay in contact with while on my travels so thanks Globetrotters, some of the other guest should be staying in hotels there was even a couple there staying on their honeymoon coming on pay the extra money and get a hotel or something leave the backpackers to real backpackers you are only going to regret it latter on. V.

Although we are not really into hostels, we were excited because of the good reviews. That's why we expected more than the low Standard of normal Hostels. But when we first stepped into the double room we were shocked. It was so tiny that we had problems to store our luggage and there was nothing to sit or put clothes on. As we read that the rooms are air conditioned we didn't know that you have to pay for that (4$ for 6h). The fridge in the kitchen was disgusting, I guess nobody ever cleaned it. But the worst was the drain in the shower. There were so many hairs inside that easily a wig could be made out of it :) No soap and paper towls in the bathrooms wasn't surprising anymore. Furthermore almost every door squeaked and the big announced free Wi-Fi was unstable and very slow if working. So, we can't recommend this place even for this low price.

This hostel has worked hard to upgrade recently as they have been around for many years. A bar, swimming poll, and free Wi-Fi. What more does a person need.

This place is ok, I was very suprised even though I needed a passport on check in its very relaxed and a chilled out place recommended.
