This is a very well located hotel for business trips. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a desk and lounge chair. Sockets and Usb charging points are well located. Located next to Railway square it has easy access to central station and a number of useful bus routes. Close to shops and numerous restaurants: diverse cuisine on hotel doorstep. There is also a concierge desk with enormously helpful staff.

Great location very close to public transport and walking distance to Chinatown. Buffet breakfast range was not huge but adequate and good quality. Pool was warm although I would have preferred it a touch warmer. The pool was relatively small but the view was fantastic especially at night. Service was good. Rooms and hallways were clean. Pillow was a touch too firm.

Beautiful building, nice hotel, great welcome. To have tested another hotel of the group located at 2 street this one is more modern and more comfortable. The restaurant also offers an acceptable menu. I haven't tested the breakfast buffet, so nice it is to take it outside.

Room basic but good size, we have a wheelchair. Nowhere to unpack bag except bed or floor. Roomservice breakfast cold. Reception and concierge wonderful.

Great hotel, right in the city center. Above train station. Near to China Town when I say near is really walking distant. Near to all the nicest Cafe in Sydney. Who needs cafe chain when you can get the real local coffee… At one go. And the staffs here are amazing and friendly.

A great location to stay, right on Railway square. We stayed with our two kids (2 & 4) in a well appointed double room (2 double beds). Bathroom included a bath, although we had to call housekeeping for a plug. There's good amenities, including on site paid parking (with one EV charger) and a indoor pool, sauna and a gym with a view on the top floor. Buffet breakfast was included in our rate, it was tasty too — good variety of the usual hotel breakfast fare. Coffee is available in an automatic brew Nescafe machine. The staff were friendly and made a fuss over Master 4 making him feel pretty special. Overall a great night, we'll be staying here again.

I had help as soon as I arrived at hotel. The room was spacious and clean. When I asked for help it was given with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I am also pleased they are among the hotels that have the key slot in lift. Making the rooms safe. As a solo traveller that was re assuring.

Nice hotel, rooms are OK, not that big, but adequate might be the best word for it. Staff are friendly and courteous but sometimes seem lost or not sure of what to do. We stayed for 5 nights, for each night depending on who cleaned the room, the room would be setup different, e. G towels on bed, number of towels in the bathroom, restocking of complimentary tea and coffee, etc. Apart from that, breakfast was good and had some variations for each night, swimming pool is tiny, and gym is quite small too.

Staff that were serving food at the venue where really nice and they were extra attentive. I would use this venue again. Location was perfect as it's close to several forms of transport.

Centrally located and very convenient Hotel as it is a short walk from the train and bus station. It was a very nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff I'il be back.

This hotel is in a convenient location adjacent to Central Station. It is in pretty good condition and does provide parking $40.00. Keep an eye on youf account because they might try to overcharge yo. U.

The Hotel is very convenient for visiting Sydney and getting to the airport because of the proximity to the central station. I found the room to be quite spacious, clean and equipped with every need. The staff is very helpful and attentive. I really enjoyed that at the front desk we were given the city map with so much explanation to visit the attractions of our interest. I do Not score full because I think now in 2017 the Wi-Fi should be free for everyone, especially in modern hotels like this!

Our stay was superb and what a GREAT team the staff are! Close to all amenities and away from the GHASTLY MESS that the government has made of the city to the north of the hotel. It was so pleasurable to wander a new aspect of the city. Room was very good and the restaurant was very good. We were welcomed as if we were family! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel.

Had a great five night stay with my husband and two children in a king suite. We upgraded with estandby and were glad we did as the room was perfect for us. Staff were great; friendly and helpful. Though it was alarming when a staff member entered our room at midnight with a guest who thought it was his room! The kids enjoyed the pool but this could do with updating. Location ideal for transport and quick airport connection. Complimentary wine was very much appreciated as a Le Club member. I have already recommended the hotel to friends.

Only stayed the one night but was very happy with everything. The only issue was the view which was a back alley. Beds very comfortable. Rooms were an adequate size. Checking in was easy and staff were very welcoming. We ate breakfast at the restaurant where the food was great.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. I was given a room upgrade and a late check out after mentioning it was my first trip away from my kids which as a busy (exhausted) mum of two, was exactly what I needed. Comfy bed in a spacious room. Well appointed and in a great location. Slight mix up with my in-room breakfast with an item missing but this was rectified within a couple of minutes of me making the call so can't fault the service on this either. Would definitely stay here again!

I was attending a conference at the Mercure Sydney and staying the night. From arrival where one of the Concierge team collected my luggage from the taxi, showed me to reception/check-in, Jason handling my booking and check-in process was amazing. I left my bag with the Concierge, when my conference ended at 5:00 pm, I was simply able to head to my room where my luggage was waiting for me. Such fabulous service. The room was well appointed, loved the double blinds, a privacy one and a block out one, so sensible. Breakfast in the morning was another wonderful experience, staff showed me to a table explained about the various goodies on offer. The staff on duty during breakfast were very friendly and made one feel special and at home. Check-out was just a brilliant as check-in, handed back my keys, my luggage was taken out to a waiting taxi. When I am next in Sydney I will most definitely be staying at the Mercure Sydney. A surprising and wonderful experience.

The room was OK but the fact of not being able to open the Windows and really very annoying.
But overall very good stay.

Stayed there on two separate occasions, one week after another with a weekend in between. Both times the first time I used the key card it didn't work. Can't believe I could be that unlucky. The service is also not quite consistent. One time I got couple of drink vouchers and then one week got nothing. Room is decent though think it's bit dated and needs some refreshing. The housekeeper is also not very consistent, one day she/he would leave the bath mat, other times there is no bath mat. Sometimes they will vacuum, other days it's not. On one occasion, when the key card didn't work, the concierge accompanied me up, the next time it didn't work, they didn't bother. So one word for you guys — please be more consistent and train your staff to be more friendly and do better.

Simple accommodation, very close to kings cross. Clean, friendly staff, no issues at all.

This hotel has spacious rooms with a great view of the harbor on one side, but a great view of the strip bars on the other. Make sure you get the right side when you book your room, especially if travelling with children. Rooms on the lower floors are easily disturbed by the noise from the bars below. Within walking distance of several shops, including Coles.

I stay twice a month when I work in the city, it is close to everything, great parking, friendly staff and good hot water.

Great views, simple off street parking, no fuss check in and a genuine manager.

I stay here often, a pretty average hotel all around. Wifi is insanely expensive, 10c per megabyte… yes I am serious. The shower swings between hot and cold. Can be noisy from the street below and then some people bring the party back to their rooms. Also no gymnasium and a guest pass to Fitness First is $15. Having said all of that, the beds are comfortable and there are a few Foxtel channels to watch.

Wi-Fi is too expensive and the bath is broken. And I've asked if it gives a shuttle to the airport it was said: That costs 25$. I say all is too expensive.

Mini bar was empty and the showers where not the best they only stayed hot for like 2 minutes : (.

Decent mid range acommodation. Located in the heart of kingscross and close to the train station.

Doesn't rate was absolute crap, sink kept backing up with sewerage, TV didn't work, remote control was so old batteries had leaked and wouldn't turn on, no tea bags, mini bar empty couldn't even get an orange juice. Never again go to the Vibe at Rushcutters Bay.

Really enjoyed my stay, got a really good deal thru booking via trivago. Had an awesome view from my room window, harbour, opera house, city skyline, perfect view. Perfect handy location, for train into city. (kings cross subway) Many pubs, clubs and restaurants all close by. As for the hotel, front counter staff were great, friendly, cheerful, and complied to my booking notes request, which is unusual for most hotels, especially when you have booked thru an agent at a discount price, they usually stick you in the dungeon. (Im so used to opening the curtains of my dark room to a brick wall at the price I paid) So 20 out of 10 for the front counter staff. The room was clean and the house keeping each day was great. The bed was kind of too hard for me, but I got used to to it after a couple of late nights. I didnt try the restaurant, as I ate out every day. The only thing I dis-liked was the the lobby bar was not very well stocked, very basic indeed for a international hotel. And the bar girl kept leaving the bar to attend/assist the kitchen staff? I and others stood awaiting service for well over five minutes on one occasion, some people even walked away. Overall though I do highly recommend the hotel, and will stay again in the future.

Good stay. Although 6 Foxtel channels which are mainly sports and news. Walls are paper thin. Lift on one side cleaning room the other and still could hear commotions in the hall. (Even a drunk trying to enter our room. ) This hotel unfortunately has no balconies but amazing view over Sydney and the Harbour! Excellent location to everything you need, nightlife, convenient stores, restaurants ect just out the front door! Overall this is a good hotel but for a short stay.

Another disappointing experience at the concrete bunkers that is the Mecure. Seriously. When are these guys going to provide Wi-Fi in their rooms.

To start the view of the hotel is astonishing with a view of the city landscape, the quay, and of the surrounding area, but where the view may be leading the actual quality of the hotel is lacking. By getting the Harbour view room, the room itself was outdated and lacked and kind of modern technology with the TV and channels with it lacking. The only reason I would recommend this hotel is if youre in it for the view, other than that it is quite a lackluster of a hotel.

Great views, great package deals, service is friendly. Prices for families can be a bit pricy but good for business people.

Unfortunately we had to change rooms twice. In the first the carpet was wet, in the second the shower not working. The staff then decided to upgrade us. Overall, the experience was OK. Plus a lot of loud guests who wants to do party at night.
