A great little getaway. Fantastic restaurant for dinner and breakfast was perfect.

Great weekend, ghost tour was fabulous. Boilerhouse Kitchen and Bar was delightful with modern tasty cuisine and a good cocktail list.

The service was excellent, the shuttle bus was on tap, they even brought our menu log order to our door. Our room was better then expected, boiler house dinner was impeccable. Will happily return.

Amazing tour, our guide was Jake and just made the whole experience so great! Would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was very informative. The guide knew what he was talking about and kept you entertained the entire time. There is a nice restaurant and there is a little cafe as well. Next time would like to stay in the accommodation and do the ghost tour.

We just returned from a stay at Q Station. An absolute Australian jewel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Accommodation clean and comfortable. So much to see and do, it’s a beautiful location. Can’t recommend highly enough.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Dinner at the boiler house was fabulous. The ghost tour with Tiffany was so much fun — interesting and scary! Service across the board was flawless. Only complaints would be lack of air con in our room — was so hot and stuffy all night, and we decided against the free for all breakfast buffet in the middle of Covid 😱!

Staff are friendly. Our room has a beautiful view. Interesting place. Worth the stay.

Beautiful part of manly, off the usual walking track and it’s so worth the extra couple of minutes drive up the hill. A must see and now my favourite walking spot.

Can thoroughly recommend a Q Station overnight stay. Check in early, sip and chat as the sun goes down with epic views across the harbour, taking in a great meal and exceptional service at the Boiler House and top off with the terrifying Ghost Tour with Jodie! If you stay the night you will be treated to an awesome breakfast and more tours the following day. Great work Q Station team!

We just had a fantastic stay at the Q Station! We did the night tour which was great with lots of information and stories. Room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the harbour.
We would definitely go back and stay again.

This place is great! So much history, great views, and fabulous accommodation. Fantastic value for money too. The romantic getaway package was over and above expectations. The food at Boilerhouse was top notch, for dinner and breakfast. Service with a smile, can’t fault the staff. The history tour was so informative and also quite topical given the current pandemic.
Loved every minute, and we will be back — I want to do the ghost tour! Well done Mawland group. A little not so hidden gem on Sydney harbour.

The staff are amazing and helpful. The rooms are clean. Lots to do and see, also calm and peaceful. Very Relaxing. Overalll highly recommend anyone to visit.

Great views of course but the hotel needs a total shakeup. Uncomfortable rooms and quite possibly the worst breakfast buffet I have ever encountered. Not at all recommended.

Very poor communication. Have been trying to talk to them but simply no response. We have a booking and want to talk to them but get nowhere. They clearly have no interest in their guests.

The peace was wonderful. Enough to do if you wanted to like walking, swimming, art installations and visiting history Rooms were basic but all you need. Staff were great. I love the bus that picks you up and takes you where you need to go. Helped immensely with mobility issues.

Fantastic customer service. We stayed last night and I had completely messed up my booking, which I only discovered at the last moment. The woman (sorry I forgot her name) who was on reception at 5pm ish was amazing, calm and reassuring. She sorted us out with a room and fixed up my mistakes. We had a wonderful night, thank you.

Rooms very basic for the cost. No air-cond which you would expect for the price but the fact in the middle of summer you have no windows to leave open for air to come in. Only french doors with no fly screens so can't leave open for safety and wild life reasons (unexpected guests).
my suggestion would be to stay in Manly (less cost and nicer rooms) and drive to the 'station' for walks, meals, weddings etc.

Q station is definitely an experience. I wouldn’t recommend that you stay for more than 3/4 nights as is very basic but comfortable.
I came from the UK to spend Christmas here with my husband and daughter. We arrived late in the evening the night before Christmas Eve, to be told I’d already checked in! Obviously I hadn’t! Anyway, all sorted and we were taken to our room.
In the morning I was very disappointed with our view, it was just some scrubby bush, when other rooms had stunning views all over Sydney harbour. Our room was basic but adequate. We went for breakfast, which I’d been told was outstanding, but again, it was just ok, lots of local wildlife around to keep us entertained. We were not told at check in that if breakfast is booked via reception a discount is applied, worth noting.
We spent a lovely day on the beautiful Quarantine beach, couldn’thave been better.
Christmas Eve we booked to eat at the Boiler House, they only do tapas, but boy was it knock out, just amazing as were the staff.
Due to our shaky check in I thought I’d check with reception that we were booked in for the Christmas Day buffet, they had no record of our booking! Luckily I had the email with all the details and we were added in. We were not disappointed, what a buffet, just delicious, but I would not have been happy to half traveled half way round the world and had no Christmas lunch.

Martin was an awesome tour guide for our party of 3. Loved the experience.

24 hr shuttle service to and from the car park, amazing views comfortable rooms and great place to unwind.

If you’re looking for somewhere special and different to stay this is the place. So much history. Get someone to tell you the story of the place. Fabulous atmosphere, beautiful views, comfortable rooms, friendly people, great restaurant and a museum thrown in. A totally unique experience.

We booked three cottages to accommodate our family group of 19. From check in to check out, our stay was lovely. Great staff, venue, accommodation and wonderful views. The youngest (preschooler) to the oldest, everyone found Q Station excellent.

Really enjoyed my long weekend stay. Service Excellent, Restaurant had delicious menu, great atmosphere too. Would recommend the ghost tour, learn about the passed also. Only one little problem, no separate beds, only one queen size, luckily my stay was with my daughter. In all, loved my stay here, highly recommend!

We had 3 days celebrating our Anniversary. Loved the authentic restoration, the history and the location. So peaceful, we felt we had been away a week!

We have just arrived home after a wonderful though short stay at Q Station. What an amazing, unique place it is — we loved the views, atmosphere we experienced. We had a lovely room or should I say, suite, so quiet — apart from the birds. The food was very good and the staff were excellent and most helpful — I really cannot find fault with anything and will be recommending to anyone who I have not as yet, bored to tears with my raving about Q Station.

I don't expect much from Sydney hotels, but this was a severe disappointment, even compared to a caravan park — — it's amazing how badly they've squandered what should be an amazing location. Our $300+/night bungalow had views only of the gents' toilet, sights are limited to log books of smallpox deaths, the location several km even from Manly is awkward, food options on site are limited and overpriced, and you have to rely on a spastic shuttle bus even to get to the gate (can't bring your car in). Visit the grounds on a day trip — — it's a national park, so you can roam freely — — and stay in central Manly instead.

AMAZING day out – (Cockatoo Island could learn a thing or two! ) We took the ferry across to the quarantine station – known as Q Station and spent absolutely hours wandering around the museum learning what went on here, then looking around all the old buildings that housed officers, visitors and workers. There are open restaurants, places where you can stay overnight, a visitor centre, a beach and so much more. Then you walk to the top if you want to join the bush walk trail through to Manley and there is even more to look at, coming out over stunning views and seeing paintings on buildings depicting life in the past. An absolutely must go to place if you want a great day out – amazing time for all the family.

Not much to do here. Restaurant at bottom of complex near water was too hot inside during summer. The ferry/boat pier has a toilet and small beach.

Such a nice, hidden gem. This spot in Manly is historically relevant and interesting. The restaurant down by the water is really great too, as are the rooms you can book to stay in. A great time!

Huge fan of Q Station! Third visit but first time in a cottage. Love the views, the feeling of being far away from the city (even though we can see it across the water) and the history! Staying in the cottage was great… and the weather spectacular… lucky us! We had a bit of fun with the thought of ghosts and an unexpected guest (possum) in the kitchen and will remember the visit with friends for years. Ate at the Boilerhouse and had coffees down near the water. One of our group even had a swim. We are all sure to come back! I have a few minor things that I will email seperately but nothing to deter anyone from going!

Location is beautiful and the history fascinating. However the experience was marred by some of the worst customer service I have seen. The reception staff were extremely rude and unhelpful while we tried to check in and juggle two kids. Don't even ask about assistance to get your luggage to the accommodation. The sewer burst in the house making everything stink. Don't dare park in the wrong spot or someone will come running and scream at you. Service with a snarl. I expect more from Accor, but Australian staff clearly haven't figured out how to treat customers. Such a shame.

Had an absolutely amazing time. Staff were friendly and harbour view room was lovely. The view takes your breath away. Location gorgeous. Definitely recommend going there.

We stayed at Q Station on 2-4 Jan 2018. It was such a relaxing experience, no crowds, the views were great, enough activities to keep you entertained. We stayed in one of the Heritage Rooms, next time we’ll book the Deluxe Suite to have the bathroom in the room. We loved the food at the Engine Room Bar, the pulled pork burger is a must try. The staff are very helpful as well. We’ll definitely come back to this place and it may be with the entire family next time.

Very pretty place with many different birds around the area to look at. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to find complimentary biscuits and tea each day. The books, piano, pool table and board games were great to have access to in the common room. All the staff were very helpful and the shuttle bus service was fantastic. The breakfast was also very tasty with a wide spread of cereals, hot food and sweet pastries, breads and cheeses. It would be nice if the Wi-Fi was also included in room pricing but overall we had a fantastic time. Thank you for having us!

Went there for a work Christmas party and had a great time doing the team building. The food and drinks were really good. It's a fantastic location and really feels like you're getting away from Sydney.

Absolutely amazing place. Wish I had the money to actually stay there. But that's never going to happen. If you go and wasn't to ride around, but you don't have a bike. Then look out for the bike share at the gate. Rental bikes. Beautiful clear water and nice bushland.

Rooms were very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Lovely location overlooking the harbour and city scape. Great tours of the history of the site. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was hot and delicious. 5 min by car to Manly, 15 — 20 min walk. All in all enjoyable relaxing stay.

A great escape from the city — it felt like we were our million miles away. Our queen suite was very clean, spacious and comfortable although our neighbours were very noisy and/or the walls were very thin which spoilt our serenity and our sleep. That said, we loved the free museum, the amazing views and enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Views restaurant. Would definitely go back and hopefully find a quieter room :)

Great little getaway inside the National Park in Sydney where you can stay overnight in the midst of the wilderness. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the restaurant has a boutiquey feel to it and the breakfast was very fresh and although relatively limited in options compared to other Accor properties, was better in quality. The Ghost tour was the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

Q Station has so much to offer. Beautiful scenery, lovely accommodation and great food. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

We went to the Boiler House Restaurant fof a three course lunch. The waiter, Phillip, was excellent and extremely polite. The food was cooked beautifully. We had the fresh oysters, tomato entree, ether steak or swordfish main meal then a rasberry desert. All the meals were great and not over cooked. I recommend this restaurant to any one, beautiful setting, beautiful food and great history. Peter and Patricia Squibb.

Visited as part of an historical school excursion and it was a pretty interesting and enjoyable place to go.

This a a wonderful step back in Australian history with all the comforts of a modern hotel… the views of Sydney Harbour and abundance of wildlife was great. Dinner was divine at the Boiler room and a dip of my feet wonderful at your private harbour beach…

Friendly excellent staff. Excellent food. Great rooms. Clean. Fantastic views. Gives you a real excuse to use the Manly ferry to get to the CBD. Kid friendly. Can't ask for much more really.

My son really enjoyed the "find the virus" tour, it was so amusing and such a great way to go around the place, the cottage we stayed in was beautiful, super neat and tidy I even got a little crib for my baby, what we enjoyed the most was the tub and breakfast! You have a chance to squeeze your own orange juice, banana bread was so crunchy with the pecans and endless danish bread, croissant and muffins, what a treat! The views are fabulous!

I love it. It reminds me of a high quality sheep station. I stayed in first class section but there is a wide range of rooms. Breakfast was great, views and peace great and likable ground based marsupials safe from cats and foxes.

Attended a wedding and stayed at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The buses were very convenient and quick.

Last night was mostly clear with amazing views. I was amazed tonight though when we were comparing our nearly black photos. When Isaw the photo of what was supposed to be myself in the porthole of the mock ship in the museum before the ghost tour. There wasn't anything but my reflection at the time. Look closer…

Simple rooms, still comfortable. A great buffet breakfast, really tasty hot and cold, sweet and savory. Then enjoy your own private beach right on Sydney harbor.

Yawn. Ghost tour was more talking than moving. 2.5 hrs to go in like 6 buildings. Host/ guide kept attempting to make it spooky by closing doors and standing in dark corners. If you are at least going to attempt to fake up some then use a little technology. Motion sensors, switches etc.

This place is a great little getaway in the Northern Sydney area, great accommodation and lovely staff. Sitting inside the national Park it was so peaceful even though you're only a 5 minute drive from manly wharf. Highly recommended.

Most peaceful place to stay in Sydney. Great getaway. Friendly obliging staff. Area is seeped in history. Rooms are spacious, need dusting. No air con reduces to 4star from 5 considering the climate we are in, it's a necessity especially in summer. Otherwise, its perfect.

Nice free museum with information about Q Station. Nice little public beach — small, but quiet. Pretty views.

I visited the park without using the facility but I can say that the impression was great.

The room was simple but very well done. The 24hr shuttle bus was quick and easy to get. The view was fantastic.

Brilliant location. The staff were excellent. They have done as well with the facilities as was possible. They are very good, just a whisker short of perfect. We avoided the Boilerhouse for dinner and had a meal @ Yok Thai that was very good. Buffet breakfast was adequate, just. Overall a worthwhile visit.

I never knew this existed until we found a deal for a two night stay and I now wished I found the place earlier. The location is amazing, with fantastic views of the city and very close to Manly. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and some of the most welcoming I have dealt with. The accomodation is nice, tidy, clean, though a little small. However you will spend plenty of time exploring the grounds of this historical location. Breakfast was really good and pay up front for a discount. Definitely worth the visit. Cant wait to go back.

Who doesn't like a good ghost tour every now and again? Even if you don't believe in the whole supernatural thing, the ghost tour is a great way to learn more about Sydney's past and walk around a fantastic location. I have to admit it is a little spooky in some of the buildings with just your flash light.

Fantastic location to show your visitors — expecially in the warmer weather. Take some goggles and flippers and go snorkelling, then have a really delicious lunch — burgers were fantastic — and a drink — either in the courtyard, or we took ours onto the beach. This is a side of Sydney that not many people knwo about.
