The Sebel is a small Accor-aligned hotel at the far east end of Manly Beach. The rooms are nice, but not overly awesome. ENough to keep the average couple happy with reasonably comfortable bed, couch, kitchenette and the usual array of wardrobes, ironing board, safe, etc. Surprisingly we found the kitchenette had a toaster, so extra marks there. The AV was slightly disappointing with TV being re-broadcast as an analogue signal to older model TV's that I presume are analogue only. I was bemused by the fact that they actually had S-Video inputs! That's aside, the rooms are clean and tidy, the showers have strong and very hot water, and the overall cosmetic aesthetic was pleasant and not old in feel. We even had a nice "Welcome to the Sebel" message written on the bedroom mirror! The general amenities in the hotel are good. There's a pool and spa, some function areas and the hotel is attached to Manly Wine for breakfast lunch and dinner. Probably the only real downer is the car park. Space is limited and what you have to park in is very cramped. I accept that the average person staying here won't be a local anyway, but still they could make a more accessible car park here. Overall, I can't really complain about the place. It's a good hotel with friendly staff at a good price. Overall, recommended for couples and families for short stays.

Staying at Sebel for couple days beach side. 5am Garbage trucks are gone, replaced by beach combing trucks lol In addition to the street noise the hotel itself is very noisy (air pressure through stairwells whistled all night) beds rock hard. Shower pressure good but the water saving devices negate this. Everything else good, $600/night?

What a view! A wonderful weekend stay at the Sebel Manly … we has just got off a long o/seas flight and had the most relaxing weekend ever. The rooms are very comfy and the staff just perfect.

My husband, 1 year old son and I went for the Easter long weekend and loved our stay. We accidentally checked in on Friday, a day earlier than our booking but the manager and his colleague on duty were really helpful and able to accomodate. The room we had was clean, modern and the bed was quite comfortable. It was also big enough to fit the portacot. They even offered us complimentary Easter eggs and hot cross buns which we thought was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and we would love to visit again.

Wonderful location, friendly staff and a refreshing atmosphere. Perfect for a weekend away, close to the beach and a vast array of dining and drinking locations. Highly recommended.

Pretty good. The central place to be in Manly. Car parking down there is a challenge. The hotel has two underground (expensive) car parks — take a small car. The staff are great and the hotel has good facilities. Would definitely go back.

This is my 3rd stay here. Every room has been perfect. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, just cross the road and you are the lovely sandy beach. The food in the associated Manly wine is also excellent. Love the beach towels and beach toys for the kids in the main entrance. The rooms maybe not to everyone's taste, likewise the general decor. But nonetheless a generous 5 stars for the shear pleasantness of the environment and my stay.

We stayed here over a weekend and had a lovely time. The staff were all really friendly and the room was serviced beautifully. We were in the south tower which is older and not as nice as the main tower, but it was still nice. I loved sitting on the balcony with the sound of the ocean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The best thing is the location! Seconds from the beach and all the cafes, shops and restaurants your heart desires. The only main issue was the lack of free WiFI, come on it's 2018!

It was a good quality room. We were in South tower Studio room. Easy access. Good parking. Right on the beach.

Lovely location, friendly staff, not far from a very sheltered beach. Rooms were spacious for 2, and service was good.

Excellent Location. Very friendly and helpful staff. We came a s Accor guests. Our room did not have an ocean view and we knew that before arriving. We had a studio room. Separate bedroom from living space. Only concern we had was lack of storage space and nom microwave oven (hotplate was available). Room had a balcony. Towels for the beach and filtered water were available at no cost. Overall — a good experience.

Service cleanliness and proximity to beach and shops are just a few of the reasons I love this place.

Great location and shops Eg Coles is very close. Close to the beach where the flags are. Staff where so very helpful and gave us with a bbq at the pool. Kids had so much fun. Cheers.

Beautiful location, wonderful service from staff, it has everything you need for a weekend away or a few days stay. Deluxe room has lovely view of the water and Manly beach.

We were in the non Oceanside tower. On the bottom floor in a disabled room… we aren't disabled. So we had a not so nice bathroom. The way the room was faced you the swimming pool meant that we couldn't keep curtain open. Nice foyer and staff.

We stayed here for 4 days with a ocean view room. Loved it, great location and friendly staff.

Great wine bar with a warm cosy atmosphere. Ideal spot to start your night out in Manly with a glass of wine or cocktail.

Decent enough hotel, good size rooms. Ask for a room in main building to save walking down the back alley…

Wasn't fancy. Expensive for nothing! I paid 270 for a room. Good view but the room was not that special. Spa and swimming pool was a joke. It was just there to mention on the brochures.

Clean room & bathroom. Grat location but we asked for water view and non was available.

Great Experience. Amazing room and fresh tasty breakfast. Will be back again.

This would have to be the most disappointing 2 nights spent in a hotel that I can remember. Based on the pricing approx $800 per night we were expecting a lot better. Firstly, no mini bar. Rooms curtains broken, light not working in hallway, towel rail broken in bathroom. No little extras such as robes. Then to cap it all off. Intro book states room service. We requested wine. Due to no mini bar as mentioned. Told Sebel were unable to bring the wine to us, due to liquor laws, so we would need to go downstairs to the attached restaurant, buy wine and take to our room. Not great but ok. Upon arriving in the restaurant and requesting the wine. Told sorry can't allow you to remove wine from the restaurant premises. So can book wine to your room. But can't take wine to your room. Not happy with this hotel. Seems you are paying for a pretty amazing view. But that's about all.

Not very clean. Run down room wouldn't recommend or return. Not 4 star quality.

Good location walking distance to shops and eats. Friendly staff, good room service. Good solid standard hotel experience.

It was ok, there for work conference, we were actually in a smaller building out the back, no view to speak of and quite dated, this building is 3 star at best.

We were made to feel so welcome by 'Jimmy' and 'Coco'. Our room was absolutely beautiful with amazing views. Thank you so much to all the staff who made our 1st weekend away without children in 15 years and my 40th Birthday night a great experience. I would recommend this hotel any day.

Very nice and convenient location both for relax and work. Service is great although room could be cleaner.

The rooms were pretty average and the view was of a little alleyway — not the ocean.

Great sized room, good AC, bathroom didn't have a fan. Lounge room was shared with master bedroom.

I want to thank the amazing team of Renata and Coco (the ladies on reception) who looked after me during my recent stay at Sebel Manly. These ladies went above and beyond their jobs with their kindness, care and understanding to make a difficult time so much easier to deal with. Sebel are very lucky having such amazing people on their staff. Thank you.

We stayed in the South Wing, the swimming pool and spa were in the North Wing, which meant we had to walk through the restaurant and reception in our swimwear! which wasn't the greatest. The room was adequate but didn't really represent value for money, we paid $315 AU per night. Location was great. Used the swimming pool and spa, spa wasn't the warmest! Fire Alarm went off Saturday morning we evacuated to find no staff to tell us what to do, had to go to reception to find out what to do.

Excellent place to stay, Manly is overrate though Staff are rude.

WORST night ever. Do not stay if you want a relaxing weekend away. Stayed for our anniversary on Saturday night. Turned up at carpark to be told its full. It then took us over an hour to find street parking miles away. The reception staff were rude and the rooms were grotty — especially the bathroom. Towels even looked like it hadnt been washed. Gross. We had drunken men shouting out the front of the hotel until early hours of the night and the street sweepers and beach sand machines raking sand at 5 am. It was the noisiest hotel. After we had paid and settled our bill I had another authorisation on my creditcard for a further $489. I had to call them to fax our bank and stop the authorisation. Save your money and stay elsewhere. Only upside was location to beach and resturants. Thank god for the nice resturants that improved our night away.

We stayed here a few nights. It's one of the best places to stay at Manly beach as it's right near the flags on the south. Pick up a beach towel on the way out and you're all set. Nice breakfast buffet. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Given the average rent in Manly, it's actually not that expensive.

The best Manly beach accommodation. Perfect location, great service and food was excellent. Totally loved the Wine Bar.
