We have been coming here for years — the gardens are always beautiful to wonder around. Unfortunately the place is starting to get a bit shabby and not in a good way, nothing has been upgraded for years and it is well over due.

Beautifully positioned with stunning gardens, delicious food and amazing facilities — the staff were helpful and friendly and the steam room, suana and spa were wonderfully relaxing.

We had the most amazing stay. Such a beautiful setting and the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and very well presented. I would recommend Milton Park to anyone, 5 stars.

We had a 60th Wedding Anniversary lunch and booked a beautiful room for our parents at Milton Park. The room was lovely and Haley on reception was wonderful. Strolling around the beautiful gardens was also a highlight. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Fabulous service at this amazingly restored manor house. Rooms are large and well appointed and the grounds are stunning.

Food at the wedding of Sean Linkson & Philip Comans was excellent. Breakfast very good. Staff friendly. The gardens are beautiful even though covered in dew.

Loads of potential but not 5 star. Jason and Tomas were very helpful and attentive — a real asset to the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and dinner in Hordens was delicious. Its an old building so yes its a little noisy and smells of mould in places, but its very charming. It would definitely benefit from nicer toiletries and perhaps a few finer details to compensate for some age-based drawbacks.

What a Amazing weekend the staff were fantastic especially Jason who was exceptional. The grounds were spectacular we have so many amazing photos and special memories. I should also mention the lovely ladies who did our massages, wonderful we floated out of there. thank you

This place does require a huge renovation. The staff is nice, but so slow. It has some charm, but it’s far from 4 or 5 star hotels.

If you are into yuppy it's for you. The views were great. Had a fun time.

This hotel is not only very beautiful but we have never had such amazing service before staying in a hotel. It really was a 5 star service. Everyone there was so friendly and nothing we asked for was a hastle. I am unsure of the lady who served us but she was great and David was amazing and so accommodating and Jason who served us in the breakfast room was extremely friendly and attentive. 10/10 for customer service we were so happy with our service and we will be back and sure to tell everyone we know.

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist… attended dinner at Horderns which was delicious & staff were delightful. Unfortunately bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable… could not adjust heating in room and spent the night very hot! My husband had to duck to get under the shower which spewed water out everywhere over the floors, lots of gaps in the shower! … The next morning we had a niceish breakfast… we had booked in to have high tea… which came with some sub standard sandwiches… and a plate of defrosted desserts from woolies/Coles… stale, dry and flavourless. The only thing edible was the TWO small scones on the top… with a teaspoon available of pure cream… the couple sitting in the lounge with us also hated their high tea. We had booked the romance package which also comes with 2 x 60 minute massages. My husband who had his on the Thursday enjoyed him however I had mine just before check out in the Saturday & it was just miserable & lacking any skill. She asks me if I was happy to have my head massaged to which I responded isn’t that the best part… she then didn’t even touch my head. Upon check out paying the other half of the bill I felt saddened and miserable at the money I had wasted on a “5-star” hotel… will not be back.

Went for the afternoon tea. Lovely grounds, nice food, very pleasant dining room with a beautiful view. Staff very pleasant and attentive without being too intrusive, very proud of the estate and knowledgeable about the grounds.

A mixed experience at Milton Park. Memories of this place led to heightened expectations. In my opinion the new owners have taken the place down market which makes it more affordable and decent value (555 for 2 incl dinner and breakfast) but the experience isn't quite the same. Rooms are reasonable and functional. Bathrooms are old and tired but workable. Fireplaces have been replaced with gas however still work nicely to set the scene in the room. Dinner was pretty good, scallops, duck and Panna Cotta all great. Service was probably the main let down. Everyone was super friendly whilst forgetting to refill water or wine at dinner. They check how things are then leave before getting an answer. Maybe just a training issue. Wine was poured without tasting. All minor things however they are selling as a 5 star place. Breakfast was a small buffet in the centre of the room. Apparently there is a spa, and the library, bar and billiard room were all great. Apart from service, was pretty good.

Amazing service from the front desk David to the waiter Thomas. Such a realaxing gateway. We got upgraded to the master suite, fantastic!

Beautiful place to be for a weekend getaway, our room, dining and breakfast was great, staff at reception were very polite and quick, dining staff Jaimie and Gerard looked after us very well and Thomas the bartender was a great guy to talk to, the grounds are breathtaking in autumn, thank you management and staff for the great service.

Beautiful house, gorgeous gardens, very efficient hotel staff (but with too much makeup and unnatural looking). However please give the Orangerie restaurant a miss. The food is very average and the service was so poor it was embarrassing. The staff are all 15 year old high school kids with bad attitudes and no idea on how to take orders or serve meals. Maybe they were all on work experience when we went?

I've always loved Milton Park. The House and Gardens are just gorgeous. But this was my first visit to their spa. My daughter and I had the most wonderful pamper day — the facilities are beautiful, the staff skilled and the Sodashi products second to none. When you visit make sure that you take the time to walk through the garden to the stunning pool house (has always reminded me of the movie Cocoon — but in a very good way) and also to relax in the sauna, steamroom, spa ar…ea back in the main spa building. After our treatment we floated down to the Main House (past stunning preparations for a small mid-week wedding) and enjoyed High Tea.

Avoid this hotel. It is expensive, old, poorly repaired, poorly cleaned, uncomfortable beds. To their credit we did receive a refund of our third night after we left. They grounds of the hotel are spectacular and it is a popular wedding venue, but they get different accommodation.

I stayed recently with my wife at Milton Park to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and while the rooms could potentially use a little upgrading, the staff and grounds were magnificent. Haley at reception was warm and welcoming and nothing was ever a problem and Jamie who was there at breakfast and again at dinner both nights was friendly and helped us enjoy our time there with her kind and friendly persona. The location is exquisite and Moira the Maitre d' was exquisite. Our stay was all we'd hoped for and more.

We were given a gift voucher to celebrate our engagement and booked a romance package to stay here for 2 nights. Our package included a sparkling wine which we waited for over two hours for after we checked in. We finally asked reception on our way to high tea and were assured that the sparkling wine would be ready in our room when we came back from high tea. About an hour later we came back to our room, and to our disappointment, the sparkling wine was not there. Later that evening we ordered room service and asked for our sparkling wine for the second time. Reception was apologetic and explained that the sparkling wine should have been set up in the room right after arrival. However, supper was delivered sans the sparkling wine, again. At 6am in the morning, my partner jumped up from bed screaming, and we turned up the light just in time to see a spider crawled across and disappeared into the back of the bed. We called reception and was told someone would be in at 6, I pointed out that it was past 6am and she said she would make enquiries and call us back. She called back at 6:30am and said someone would be in at 7am and he would come and help us then. We had planned to sleep in but instead we sat around waiting for someone to come in. When someone called at 7am, we were told that there was an insect spray in our bedroom and to take care of it ourselves.

Nice place to relax. First time being here. Serene gardens and walkways. Friendly staff and good food but I hope they have more choices for breakfast. Overall I'm quite happy with my stay. I highly recommend for a quick getaway from the city.

Nice friendly staff, location is beautiful, rooms are nice and big though fairly basic, bathroom is simple and a little weathered. Was a slight mould smell around the rooms which was bareable but noticeable. We also had dinner which was nice though when asked to move next to the big viewing window we were declined saying it will be reserved, when the table next to it was cleared 2min later we were still not able to move even though it remained free the whole night : (

Very nice place for wedding events. I would recommend to friend. However I think price per night stay is on the relative expensive end. If they have package deal or more reasonable price per night stay it might be perfect.

It's located very close to Sydney and is pretty easy to drive to. The room was good and the staff were very helpful. It was a great place for my brother's wedding.

My husband and I booked this Resort for 2 nights Midweek getaway. We felt the standard is well below our expectations. The Hotel charge like any international 5 star resort but it is far below a 5 stars standard. The room was very basic, lacking certain facilities that you expect in a 5 star resort. The property and rooms felt dated. Even the Bathroom show signs of wear and tear. The bath is chipped. Toilet seat doesn't fit correctly. The Restaurant menu is very limited and uninspiring and pricey. Flavour is ordinary and nothing to surprise compare with the price you pay. We stayed here for 2 nights on Monday and Tuesday and were informed The dinning room was fully booked and we either could order room service or hunt food in local restaurant.! However we realised there was only a small group for conference dinner. It shows sign of lacking staff. Hotel staff very friendly but not enough of staff around at all — inside of Hotel or outside in Garden. Breakfast was just Ok like Motel standard. Very disappointed with the food. Homemade bake bean is a joke (it mentions is Homemade Bake bean) please try Heinz Bake Bean. Luxury Indoor swimming pool is no facility at all. Pool looks "Empty" and Cold. We lost interest and have no confidence to try any of their spa facilities and package at all. Milton Park Country House seems to have lived better days and is relying on an outdated good reputation to lure clients into an average and overpriced experience.

Absolutely gorgeous place, with the best staff ever. The chef has obviously changed since we where there a year ago and the restaurant is not as good. Very fancy now, and we had quite a disappointing meal. A weird entree called Golden Egg which was a crumbed deep fried egg on a disgusting sloppy puréed mushrooms with bits of cold hard boiled egg in it as well. The tabke next to us couldn't stomach it either so not just us! Had a very strange pumpkin ravioli as well that was in little tubes and rubbery. However, the actual place is stunningly gorgeous, the Forrest Suite is to die for, but for the love of God go into town to eat!

We stayed here for two nights last week, as we booked our wedding reception in Milton Park's Orangerie. Regarding service, we found Milton Park's staff to be nothing but genuinely friendly and attentive. From the onset, Stephanie and Jade had been wonderfully helpful and patient in assisting us coordinate so many details, until we ended with a master run-sheet that kept the night moving smoothly. Jade was able to accommodate many requests leading during planning, and was close by throughout the evening of the reception, keeping everything in check. Jason deserves an extra special mention – from the dinner tasting months prior, right up to breakfast the morning after the wedding, he treated my husband and I like old friends & offered professionalism and wonderful words of advice (and a few well-received drinks on the house) throughout. We absolutely loved him. When we needed some technical help with music later in the evening it was the waiters who paused their tasks and helped — we didn't catch their names but we are so grateful. Everyone's assistance made the evening run brilliantly. Aesthetically — Milton Park balances old French provincial & rustic country charm beautifully, which was a nice blend of my husband's and my styles. Even though our wedding was in the middle of a Southern Highlands winter, the many wood-fuelled fireplaces and mechanical heating kept everyone super comfy.

The accomodation part I would give 4 stars. It was clean, and the decor was adequate. The staff where always attentive and very friendly. But unfortunately I have awarded a 3 star overall performance for the Spa part. The building and facility is amazing, but the staff were lacklustre and seemed to be just ticking the bare minimum requirements. The actual relaxation massage did not involve much massage at all. It should be renamed to relaxation lie-down. I had selected a medium pressure, but it came across as a massage where the therapist didn't really want to tire out her hands. I wonder what I would have received if I had selected a "light pressure"? Afterwards there was a tea placed on the table in the waiting area, and that was it. No further contact or follow up… So I had my tea, got up, changed, and left.

Came for a wedding which was beautiful. Bring lots of warm gear if you come in winter as it can get very cold!

Conveniently "forgot" to mention that most of the spa facilities were closed for repair, ruining what was supposed to be a lovely spa-getaway. The place seems to have lived better days and is relying on an outdated good reputation to lure clients into an average and overpriced experience. Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, I couldn't help but feel a bit ripped off after our stay.

Lovely rooms and the grounds were beautiful — great to stroll around in. The staff were friendly and professional. Meals were fantastic. Only downside is the buffet breakfast is s bit limited.

Lovely house with a cosy atmosphere.

We visited on the 20th March 2016. The grounds and buildings were in need of major attention, there were tiles missing from both the pool and spa, the door frames in the pool area were rotten at the bottom due to moisture, the under awnings on the front veranda which were once white were now blackened from dirt. The garden paths were all cracked and most ponds needed a major clean. In the middle of the beautiful front door was a common nail to hang something on. The room had a king size bed that was two singles pushed together which meant cuddling my partner was very uncomfortable as you fell down the crack added to which the bed was well worn and we both woke up with neck aches. The plantation shutters on the window had worn a track in the timber frame. Being march it was getting a little cold and the heater didn't work, or I couldn't work out how to turn it on. The food at diner was beautiful and well presented. I however needed to go and find more food as there was nowhere near enough for a adult male. The meal was from a set menu with a few choices and the cost without drinks or sides was $90 per person and did not even include coffee. Not worth the money. As this was my birthday present I was not aware of the price. But in the last few day I found out the cost was almost $700 for a single night, dinner and 1/2 a dozen drinks. All I can say is I feel cheated.

We had our wedding at Milton Park and it was just gorgeous. The staff were great to work with — accommodating and also very polite when dealing with my concerns. My family and I stayed in the Carriage House, which was just refurbished and then my husband and I stayed in the Bridal Suite for two nights, complete with fireplace, balcony and spa, which was great. The only thing that disappointed me was my room service meal arrived a little cold and I like my food hot.

There is far better for the money and I would urge you to check out the updated options in the area. This was meant to be a special weekend to celebrate our anniversary, it was the trip to remember and for the wrong reasons. When we arrived they had offered to park my sports car and in turn drove it 11 kms and consumed 1/8th of a tank of petrol. When I mentioned this to them they denied the joy ride and said these k’s were required to park the car safely, go figure. This place is sub standard by todays standards and as someone who stays in the Southern Highlands on a very regular basis you can get a lot more stay for your money and I would never return. The rooms are old and musty with very poor lighting, the bathroom was filthy and there is no air-conditioning in the room at all. As for the noise from the other guests, do not get me started. My partner sat in the bar only to realize that the seat she was on was drenched in wet beer. To be fair the food in the restaurant was good and the pricing for the wine was good. Stay elsewhere for the money, this place has had its day and until they turn it around just forget it.

We've just come back to the UK after visting Milton Park for a wedding. It was an amazing venue and we really enjoyed staying there.
